About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“I placed the order no trouble at all & then the first email from the delivery company arrived saying my package was on the way. Don't know what went wrong after that coz my package arrived about 10 days later. Outback Equipment side of things was fine though.”

“I ordered my item on the 25/7 and I expect it will be delivered on the 13/9. Before I ordered the item I receive contradictory advice about whether or not it was in stock and whether or not it would be delivered before I went away. Item arrived in time but was the wrong type. Went through the 3rd degree to establish the item was wrong. I did not receive an apology and was sent courier details to send it back. I tried to contact someone to negotiate buying the wrong item so that the correct one would be delivered ASAP. I went through 4 different people and was told the item was not in stock and needed to be delivered in. I purchase the wrong item to get the ball rolling. It took over a week before the stock arrived in Qld and then forwarded on to me. It felt like there was no urgency in getting the right goods to me and I say again, no apology. I wanted to contact someone in charge but there was no contact details. Not happy Jan.”

“If you write something bad it doesn't go through. So I had the most amazing experience of being delivered the wrong UHF radios and having to pay blokes who didn't know where they were or what they were doing. For 2 weeks. Because that's how long it takes to send a wrong item back and get a replacement if you live 85km from town. Great job guys!”
