About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“Wouldn't recommend going through these guys, shipping takes a long time and one of our items got "lost" worth $2000...did get up getting a refund but all in all just not what you want. Also didn't get refunded on shipping which came to a hefty $400...overall just go somewhat else”

“Haven’t received the goods and they aren’t helpful in finding them. Finally got through to the manager who explained the situation a bit better”

“Not very good. Bought late December and by Early Jan we had issues. The cooler would turn on sometimes. Now it won't turn on at all and it's late Jan. Have reached out but no response at all”

“Product is great. Post time not so great. No notification that there was a low stock problem until I emailed 2 wks after ordering and paying. 6 week wait for the MSA mirrors to get from Qld to Perth. Neede them before they arrived, to tow van for holidays.”

“Sales people at the warehouse were very helpful The lady that I spoke to on the phone earlier in the morning was not very helpful. Didn't know details of her job and was a little rude, in my opinion”

“Good at sending daily emails regarding their products/specials but very slow regarding returns/exchanges. Inadvertantly I ordered the wrong product, apparently. I want to exchange for the right product. They have been very slow in responding. They are telling me that I can only get a store credit and they will not refund as it was "Change of Mind" my mistake. It was not change of mind, I thought that I ordered the Premium product PPV but apparently I ordered the standard product PCV. I only want to swap over for the same product but the better quality one?”

“I ordered a cover for my boat, the site never said it was out of stock. Got no updates from out back equipment after a week tried calling 8 times and sent 4 emails, with no reply, drove from the Sunshine Coast to the warehouse in Acia ridge to be told it wasn’t in stock. Explained I just drove 3hr round trip which could have all been avoided if they answered my phone calls or emails. Won’t be ordering from outback equipment again.”

“Pretty happy. Although the markings on the deflators are no where near accurate so it was a case of figuring out wat 15psi on the deflator actually was etc”
