About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

Ok tonbe totally honest with you i.m very disappointed with the service you provided. I believe if you dont have the product in stock you should let the buyer know this before the transaction is complete. As the wait for the product is unnecessary when other stored have it on the shelves. Even when it is finally shipped from your store onto a courier they seem to take up to 3 days in the same city. Very poor customer service . Regards Bas

Bought lights off your website, that you didnt actually have in stock, took weeks to post them then Couriers Please took 2 weeks to deliver. Don't sell stuff you don't have in stock! First & Last time buying anything here!

pumps are sufficent. 6 ordered, come in very large box with no packing to prevent damage during freight, pumps were not in boxes themselves.

Purchased 2 adjustable tables for a Xmas present and they arrived damaged. After many phone calls unattended get through and finally did, and 2 emails completed with invoice and pictures of damage and and completed return refund forms and a response said 3 to 5 business days( not including public holidays) I still have had no response So not happy Jan

Not a great experience, purchased an esky that came in a flat box and when popped out looked like it had fallen off the back of a truck. Left it open for 2 weeks and tried to add things in to push it out but remained damaged. Return process took 4 weeks to resolve and was only allowed a credit. I had purchased another esky in the mean time from this same provider as it was a Christmas gift and I was still not able to get a refund. Very disappointing, won’t be purchasing from this site again. I have emailed numerous times but they have just stopped returning my emails. I would have loved to just keep the first purchase but couldn’t give it as a gift in the state it was in.

We purchased a Companion evaporative cooler for our RV from Outback Equipment and wish we hadn’t. The cooler is ok- as long as it isn’t very hot. Kind of defeats the purpose doesn’t it? We need a cooler that cools when the temperature is 30 or more. Even in our compact, well insulated Sprinter van the cooler was unable to knock the temperature down even one degree! That’s not a typo - not even one degree. I sent Outback Equipment an email voicing my complaint more than two weeks ago and haven’t had a response. Not happy. Not with the cooler and not with Outback Equipment. We’d like a refund!

Please never use aramax as a delivery service. I have never had a good experience with them, I know they are cheap for you guys, but just let me pay more for postage and use AusPost. Thanks for you prompt dispatch though. 👍🏾

It took 3 weeks for my original order to arrive, I ordered 8th Dec so to be expected with the Christmas rush. The item I ordered was the incorrect size. It arrived 6pm on Christmas eve, so quite a few days before I could speak to anyone. I emailed with my issue including photos and only recoeved the generic acknowledgement reply. I finally phoned them and spoke with someone who was helpful and emailed me a return slip. They could not ship the correct item until the original one arrived back to them, which took over a week despite me posting it the day I got the return slip email. They then email and say they don't have the correct size in stock and they would have to source it from their supplier. I am still waiting 6 weeks later for my item .

I bought a mount for starlink mini. It arrived quickly and works brilliantly. Rock solid and I'm able to remove the device easily. There was a bonus cap for the lead to use when its removed. I'm a very happy camper.
