Complete wasters customer service waste space aswell have you on hold for 45 mins then terminate the phone call they don't intend to help they make your life even worster n stressful

Absolute nightmare customer service. Moved into a property on 02/09. Applied for gas and electricity online, like every other time I've used OVO. No welcome package, no response. Called to set up electricity account, told me gas account can't be set up because of it being "in transition," they'd call me back in 2 days, no one did. Called back again, someome told me the account is in "clearance" and I should call back again in 6 working days. In the meantime gas runs out, no cooker, house freezing, called back, someome said the last tenant's account might take 6 months to clear!! Line cut off whilst on hold, called back and was told I need to top up the pay as you go meter then apply for a smart meter to get a monthly account BUT for some reason I had to wait another 48 h (more as it was Friday) before ordering a smart reader. Sent me a code and said I had to wait for 3 h before going to a local shop they suggested. Went there, they were looking at me like an alien. Managed to find a post offfice, got the card, top up 30 quid, back to realise there is Debt on the meter from the previous tenant, called back after the weekend to order smart meter, was told I need to call AGAIN after it's installed to activate account, clueless as how to help with the last tenant's debts. I have used OVO before in multiple properties and it's always been an easy online process. I have spent countless hours on the phone this time and still nothing is sorted a whole month after I moved into this property. What a circus, what an absolute joke. Countless hours on hold, countless hours explaining this ordeal to a different person every time, EVERY TIME given different and contradictory advice (above is only a short summary of the endless conversations I've had with them). Horrific. Absolute jokers and scammers.

Would leave zero stars if I could. Absolutely disgusting company. Moved over through no choice from SSE. Apparently all fine and could top up according to a letter. Absolute rubbish. I cannot top up. I have been told to let it run to less than £1 and then call them? I have premature twins at home and this is absolutely unacceptable. How do I feed and heat them if I go off supply. Been told I won't be able to top up at all ever. So what do I do when it goes off and engineer comes then that runs out. Can't keep calling them. Worst company ever. Degrading to people. Conning customers. Moving them over with no choice to switch. Should be ashamed of themselves. Every time I call they fob me off. Im switching asap. Never again will I use them. Avoid at all costs. They will take you're money and not provide the service and lie to you. An absolute joke and a disgrace.

Disgusting the way people with disabilities are treated.. Spoke to someone who said he'd get a manager after I sent an email to complaints then got an email with the bill instead of replying to me to get the issue wiped and resolved.. They bought the debt from SSE who over charged me and added charges on as I was under the Hospital getting cared for for 3 years.. Disgusting.. I'll go public and get a solicitor if they don't resolve it as promised..

An engineer was due to attend my property today but never turned up which has now cost me four hours of annual leave. Called them and waited on the line for over 35 minutes to then be told their lines are now closed. Not the service I expect so thinking of leaving

They don’t deserve even one star. Passed from pillar to post, hours spent on phone trying to stop them threatening us with debt letters and court action when in fact our account was in credit. Started Dec 2022 and still going on now. Absolute shower of … TOTAL RUBBISH AVOID DO NOT SIGN UP TO OVO

Absolutely awful company. They took over from SSE and would not let me have on line accounts for both electricity and gas unless I had 2 email addresses. When I tried to email readings I had return emails stating the ovo email no longer existed. I moved out in May and despite paying my DIrect Debits they claimed I owed £900. When they finally accepted my readings I settled the balance but am STILL getting emails stating I have a balance to pay. When I call they confirm I have nothing to pay but the emails keep coming threatening debt collection. So frustrating. Have now moved to Octopus who are so efficient. Really bad service from OVO…they don’t deserve 1 star!

Keep sending useless estimates when I provide meter reading almost monthly,then texts and letters ,then falsely stating I need a new neter( which was replaced recently) so they can fit a smart meter which I don’t want. Texts,letters all the time for amounts I don’t owe. Terrible company,I’m moving soon and will recommend to purchaser that he looks elsewhere.

Forced to move to Ovo after it’s taking over SSE. I terminated the account in June with a credit balance of over £130, their emails advised the refund was on the way, would be credited to my direct debit account within 10 days. But the money has never been back, up to now (end of September), despite repeated emails follow up. Apart from eating up the refund, even worse, Ovo keep sending energy bills addressing to me to my old address after my moving out and account termination. The meter reading alleged by Ovo in that bill is “over 600 kwh” more than the difference between the meter reading taken on the date of my move out and the reading taken by the new occupier at the time of move in. In my personal view, such malpractice is no better than stole money. Why an energy company is allowed to do this? Is there any laws and regulations govern the conduct of energy companies?

They sent the debt collector to the house and I am not with OVO, It was a previous owner who moved out 9 months ago. The is not even in my name My suggestion is raise the complaint with the energy ombudsman

This company should not be allowed to be in the energy market very very bad customer service staff in Africa qho dont have a clue you can never get them to pick up the phone i was trying for 3 days then thy put the phone down on you worse company on the planet avoid at all cost

I wish I could give zero stars that how bad their service is. I have not received a bill in the last 8 months and it is impossible to actually get one. Avoid at all cost

I was with ovo and my experiences were it was so bad i moved to octupus but my son i still with them. When i get my bill takes me just a couple minutes to check the bill is correct and pay it -when he gets his i spend at least 45 minutes trying to work out if its correct and how much he actually owes

We have been with OVO for over a year now. Since then we have generated power through our solar panels. OVO now owe us £1700. We've submitted the same set of forms multiple times, met their every excuse to not pay us but still nothing! Customer service team have slopey shoulders and pass the buck to everyone just to meet their target and close the case. The FIT team seem to mainly lie and not actually do anything. Come on OVO, you even paid someone else our money!!! Absolutely shocking business. If you have the chance - don't get involved.

Since moving to worthless OVO Energy from SSE, by force. For a month now I have been struggling to stop up gas by crapping smart meter. Due to meter failure, they have put a new meter. But I still can’t top up. I have rang them so many times.I’m just getting repeats of same answers with lies. “ just wait for 24 or 48 hours, but still nothing
