“Unfortunately my pair of shoes was sent to New Zealand instead of Barbados, where I live. But i would like to emphazise the attention and prompt solution i got from Pediwear, by refunding me as soon as they realized what had happened. Thanks again.”

“I would give them five stars because they are very helpful with sizing etc. The only reason I'd give them four is because they stuffed around with the order and took ten days to notify me a pair of socks was not available in a particular colour. They did something similar on a previous pair of shoes. Having said this, I would order from them again as their shoes are excellent quality and at an unbeatable price. They just need to lift their game somewhat in communicating when things don't go as planned. I recommend them but be prepared to wait a little longer than expected.”

Dear Mr Tiplady Thank you for taking the time to review our services, and thank you for giving us four stars despite the problems you encountered. Clearly we should have advised you sooner regarding the availability of the sock in your most recent order. I am looking in to why this should have happened. As you will see from our many other excellent reviews this is not the norm and falls short of the standards we aspire to. Please accept our apologies. I had a look at your previous order and I see that it was placed on the 23rd March - and we advised you the same day that we expected delivery within 12-14 working days. Having seen the despatch date I would be very surprised to hear that the delivery took longer than this - even taking into account the slight delay caused by the failure of the first payment method. If I have misunderstood or your recollection of events was different please do let me know - we are always ready to see how we can improve our processes. “My interaction with Pediwear was quite positive. My merchandise arrived in good shape. It was well packaged for the trip across the Atlantic. The only thing I did not like was it was hard to track my order and it took quite some time. These are things however that I do not think Pediwear can really control.”

“Pediwear agreed a new delivery date with me and kept to this promise. Order your new Mephistos (Marlon) in plenty of time to allow the factory to make your shoes before you really need them.”

“The Grisport walking shoes I bought were to replace a worn out pair of the same model. I need a fairly substantial walking shoe for all terrain dog walking and the previous pair had served me well over the past 3/4 years, I should add that wellington boots and lighter walking shoes are also used. I generally cover a weekly dog walking distance of about 20-25 miles, so even divided among 3 pairs it's still good.”

Dear Customer Thank you for your review and for giving us 4 stars despite your concerns regarding the shipping charges. We only ever aim to charge shipping rates which cover our own shipping costs. We are charged shipping based on weight, so it doesn't make it any cheaper to send it via one box. However, we did provide you free shipping on the accessory items - two of which you had ordered and two of which we sent free of charge. I hope this helps explain why we charge shipping as we do. We are always open to consideration of shipping discount if it is possible for us to send it for less but with many orders the amounts we charge do not cover the actual cost to us. It is very disappointing for me to read of your experience, particularly as you are a valued existing customer. We pride ourselves on our customer service. I recall being in the room whilst David discussed the Royal Mail situation with you - my understanding was that you were asking for a service which we have not previously used nor were we aware of. My recollection is that David agreed to look into this option for you - though I think he also told you he didn't think it was possible. I thought his manner with you was polite and helpful - but I would be interested to hear back from you if you disagree. The advantage of dealing with smaller retailers such as ourselves should include our flexibility and customer service - so I am sorry that you encountered resistance to your request. I can reassure you that this was not due to a reluctance to help - rather because we believed what you were requesting was not possible. The time taken to resolve the issue was necessary for us to confirm the availability of the service. Thanks to your help we are now aware of the alternative service, and there should be no problems in future. I hope we will retain your business despite this episode.
