Misled and we feel miss sold our 465k property in Hanson Reach, Stewartby. The property was bought off plan, the plans were transversed and not a true reflection of the property design and layout. We have been in residence for nearly 12 months and our snagging list is still active, from new windows, to kitchen ceiling being cut through to look for banging pipes, to a workman who came to repair pipes then cutting through a gas main pipe. Appalling experience which has caused untold stress and ill health on our family.

My daughter saved hard and sadly bought a Persimmon home.. She couldn't wait to move wrote a snagging list which was passed onto the site sales rep wrote a second snagging list which was passed onto the rep. Not one issue on those snagging lists have been resolved now after 2 years Customer couldn't Care deny receiving anything and say its now passed the warranty period.. Anyway she settled in and went for a shower which flooded the lounge. Phoned the help line they duly turned up the next day and found the outflow hadn't been plumbed in... She had to clean up her brand new house on her first night... I recently had to redo the plumbing as the same thing happened again... The quality of the repair was shocking nothing tightened etc. I have bought loads of houses over the years and I have never encountered such all round shoddy botched up workmanship ever. I wouldn't trust them to put one brick on top of another without cocking it up.. I loathe this company with a venom as everyone here says they are a disgrace. I hope they go bust.... Whatever you do, do not buy one of their homes you be better of buying shed from B and Q.

4 year old persimmon garage roof starting to fall down after rafters splitting splitting & bending. Boiler flue not up to buildings regs, condemned by independent plumber Persimmon boss £75m pay packet, McLaren sports cars seen in persimmons exeter HQ car park. Says it all really

They were supposed to remedy H & S issues with the large main entrance to our multi build Estate. They consistently dodged and appealed and now, after over 6 years THIS is our Estates main entrance. We now have to come and go thru a tiny winding residential road.. Madness.. Newton Abbot Fairways..

Sad to see so many bad reviews, these really scared me after i bought my Persimmon house but I have moved to the Ellesmere Port site and the house is everything I could ask for, few minor jobs as expected with new house but the site manager is really good and helpful couldn’t ask for more!

this is one of the worst companies that builds which never comes back for a proper repair and they never inform residents about any works. Ive been woke up at 8am with drilling machines and street being scraped without being informed also the only exit route wa sblocked unable to go anywhere with my car. nobody seem to care and this of not even s construction site anymore for 6 months

Please avoid buying the house from them it is preferable to live in an igloo. the quality of the materials used and are very bad

Customer after service is extremely poor. If I could turn back the clock I would not purchase from this company. Member of staff I spoke with about an existing issue was rude, unprofessional and just clueless.

Ohhh please never ever buy from persimmons. Rubbish customer care after sale. More interested in profit and bonuses rather than care and service.

House has been fine and no complaints of the property. I would rate higher but serious land complaints. Our back garden does nothing but get water logged, un tendered areas surrounding property causing me lose value in property, mono block roads were unsafe a few months after being laid. Have chased persimmon for nearly 2 years to get the areas corrected but either never reply, when they do they say they will chase it up and on a few occasions have been told it will be done within the next few months. Absolute disgrace with customer service, manager are no help. Just want to finish a development and move on. Yet say they invest in areas, listen to the customers etc etc. Been sending emails to customer service every few days and nothing. Our estate is an accident zone waiting to happen.

Dreadful quality build and awful customer service still have snags outstanding from day moved in june 1st arrogant site manager who promises the world but does nothing.

Don’t buy from Persimmons, they are happy to try and fix snags within the first six months but as soon as customer services get involved it’s a different story. I have had someone from customer service who told me what he says goes, to then be told he didn’t say this and that about faults when he had to my face, then to basically be told that a fault we logged six months on wouldn’t be left like that on completion and who done that.

I can only agree with the negative reviews on here having purchased a home on the beckets grove Wymondham estate and we don’t even move in until the end of the week! It’s our first house purchase and have saved for years for this but it’s obvious to Persimmon that means nothing to them. From the start it’s been really hard work with estimates that are miles off and extremely poor communication. I feel for the staff on the ground as all they can do I pass you onto the management above them who never and I mean never get back to you. We’ve even had someone drive off while we waited to speak to them, straight past us. Having looked round the house prior to completing on Friday all I can say is the workman ship is far below what you would expect, it’s left my wife feeling physically sick given how much we were looking forward to this. All I can say to summarise is as a company they simply don’t care. They don’t care that this is years and years of saving, dreaming and excitement. Please avoid persimmon for your own sanity.

Having read through all these despicable complaints , which I can entirely relate to , I am disgusted beyond measure that the government have not stepped in to protect buyers. The lies, the shoddy workmanship, staff doing drugs in people’s homes, staff smoking on your property, , staff who don’t turn up, staff who break more things in their attempt to fix stuff, low paid handy men instead of qualified trades people. Multiple health and safety breaches, ignore all your calls, concerns and complaints. Their staff are rude beyond belief if they do bother to talk. Only way to deal with them is to film and photograph and document everything, report them to health and safety executive and the local council planning dept. They only talk money, when eventually no one buys their crappy homes or they are refused planning permission they will finally listen. Worst customer experience of my life. The fact they haven’t changed despite all these complaints tells every future potential customer what they need to know!
