“Before Sales: After initially trying to sell me a car which was over my budget and didn't meet my minimum requirements, we eventually managed to get them on board with the plan and got a car that was actually suitable. Overall happy with the service, but could've been quicker in actually getting there by simply listening. Or offering "deals" that are actually deals...
Sales: After being promised a car on a certain day and then having to wait an additional 3 days to get it was annoying, however Peter Vardy made up for this by delivering it and offering a full tank of petrol. Overall happy with the way the problem was resolved.
After Sales: Once the car arrived a minor fault was picked up in the first 3 days of driving. Peter Vardy had this fixed under the warranty within 2 weeks. The only thing that could've been done better is the communication was a bit lax on who should be dealing with this and who to get updates from.
Overall: Not too bad but glad its over. Also don't believe them if they say at the sales stage they will give you a freebie of any kind - they will forget.”
“Everything explained very quickly, and checking I was happy before moving on. Friendly, and attentive. Was not told that my first payment would be over twice the monthly amount though (on Christmas Eve too). I know that they are dealing with the car side of things in the showroom (and not the finance details) but would have appreciated the heads-up about this. Otherwise no problems and pleased with my new car.”
“Initially I had very good service driving from your garage firstly a diesel car and then a petrol car. More information along the way would have been helpful. This was probably due to the length of time I had to wait for the car from June until November, not your fault. We are now very pleased with the car.”
“After the initial disappointment and frustration at being kept waiting for 50 minutes for the salesperson who had phoned me at home and made an appointment time the rest of the purchase was satisfactory and the replacement salesperson Mark was very efficient. The most annoying part of it all was that the original salesperson did not even have the courtesy to apologise for being unable to fulfil the appointment.”
“The overall experience with Peter Vardy was as indicated above, however my car was delayed well beyond the delivery date provided by Peter Vardy, even with a contingency period added to the manufacturing period, I can understand and accept that the car has to be built to a quality standard and checked prior to release and delivery to the regional retailer, however, my perception when enquiring further of Peter Vardy about delivery, revealed what was to me, a distinct disconnect between the manufacturer and the dealership.
The manufacturer, its information system, in my opinion was not supporting the sales process adequately.
I personally called Land Rovers client portal to be told by the person within Land Rover, that she could not access any information that was pertinent to my car, therefore she could not advise why there was a delay.
The advised delivery date was factored into a vacation with my family with a clear intent to use the Land Rover, unfortunately this was not to be.
I finally received an email from Mr Peter Jones who explained what was happening and provided me with a date of delivery to the regional retailer.
Whilst the delay was unfortunate and did spoil a planned vacation, the positives that can be taken from this experience was the excellent service and attention to my purchase that was provided by Mr Alastair Grant of Peter Vardy, Aberdeen, exceptional customer service, very pleasant personality, and finally the delivery of a vehicle that I am thoroughly enjoying driving.

“Presentation was good and car was delivered in good condition. I have also recommended my friend who also bought BMW last month.
These are some points which I was promised by have not received yet:-
i) Petro card for which I had paid but never received
ii) I was promised 12 months MOT but I have not got it yet.
I hope I will get these pending items delivered to me ASAP”
“It started a bit slow the process of buying a second hand car but ended very well and i was looked up very well after by one of the salesman at Perth, Mr Glen Gilson .
He kept me update with what was happening , he explained things to me that i even forget to ask , i was offered a courtesy car when i've part exchange my old one and i was waiting for the one i bought to be prepared ( a few things to sort out scratches etc.. ) and happily surprised i was given the car with 6 months tax on it !!!
