Absolutely shocking service. As I drove my car from the garage 3 warning lights appeared on my dashboard, I took the car back on several occasions and the service department failed to fix the fault. Eventually my car was booked into the manufacturer to be fixed at Peter Vardy's expense, or so I was told. My car was fixed by the manufacturer, however the garage could not get in touch with Peter Vardy who were prolonging the payment resulting in me waiting without my car. I got fed up waiting and failing to get a hold of somebody that I paid for the repairs myself. I'm still currently waiting to get refunded and still struggling to get a hold of somebody. I also only received 1 key with my car and was told that I will be getting another one and I'm still waiting. This has been going on for over 5 weeks now and it has honestly been the worst car but experience I have ever had. I will be advising everybody I know to avoid this company and I will never be back in future to purchase another car. Shocking customer service and I have been ripped off having to fork out on repair bills immediately after purchasing a car. I will be taking this matter to Trading Standards as it is simply unacceptable to treat people like this wasy and are spending their hard end money on a car which should be fit for purpose.

Having bought a Jaguar XF s from Peter Vardy Aberdeen ( I live West midlands so business was done via phone calls and Emails ). Part of the deal was a two year service pack which they will now not provide confirmation for, Even thought its on all the sales documents and original sales advertisements!!! Now 2 months into the ownership of the car they will not answer my Emails, return my phone calls and even Jaguar Customer Relations head office can't get a reply from them. The aftercare of customer service from Peter Vardy is the worse I have every dealt with and my only recommendation to all potential customers reading this is to avoid this dealership at all costs. Makes me consider were i stand legally, this I will be finding out about. Jaguar should be ashamed of themselves for letting them have the franchise rights.

We bought our car from Peter Vardy Perth in August 2015. We originally went in looking to buy a brand new Astra on PCP however we were talked into buying a second-hand car. Whether this was to do with the salesman getting more commission I don't know, however there was no mention/discussion of PCP costs. A car was brought to us and we were immediately taken for a short test drive. No chance to inspect it, look at different cars etc. When we arrived back at the dealership we were quickly ushered into the showroom to discuss prices - we ended up being there for over three hours. We quite clearly stated what our maximum budget was and that we did not want to go any higher than that. The salesman (who we can't remember the name of but what I will say is that he was very pushy) went to talk to a manager in another room to "build a deal" and when he came back to us (remember, we were there for over three hours, he took his time "building a deal") he did his sales pitch, which highlighted all the "amazing" extras (which we had to pay for) and the free gift of paint protection, which we highly doubt was ever applied to the car. The price was over £30 more than our maximum budget, even after clearly stating we didn't want to go above £X. Yet again, he went back to the manager to see what he could do. He came back to us again and showed us the new price which was still more than we wanted to pay but naively we shook hands and agreed on the deal. On the day of collection we arrived at the dealership at an agreed time of 6PM. Exciting you would think, apart from the fact we had to wait half an hour before we even got to the point of signing paperwork. The salesman who we had dealt with previously was too busy and we were passed onto another (Glen) who, compared to the last salesman, was even worse. Loud, pushy, condescending. Are you seeing a theme here? After the paperwork we thought that was it, we finally get our new car! Wrong! Here comes another sales pitch, this time for a service plan. I will say that it is something we are happy with as the services are prepaid, however, the fact that the service department couldn't even set that up (they forgot to send the details through!) means that we have to pay more each month than was agreed. Although we are happy with our car we feel that it was a very pressurised sales experience. Six months later we booked the car in for a winter check. We booked it online and there was the option of a courtesy car for a small fee which we selected. The next day we got a phone call saying that you don't get a courtesy car as the car would only be in for two hours which we said was fine and that we would just wait. The day before the car was due to go in we got a "courtesy" call asking if we still had the Astra. We said yes and the reply was "We would be very interested in buying your car as we have low stock of that type and are you available at any time." Coincidentally we said the car was booked in the next day and we were told that when we took the car in we were to ask for Thomas Mannion. When we arrived the salesmen sought us out and took us over to his desk. We spent another three hours of the "hard sell" getting quotes for cars. We told them what our budget was and it would have to be brand new. Thomas got our settlement figure for our car (which we already knew) and went to give our car an appraisal and then spoke to his manager about how much it would be worth. The kicker is that it was almost half what we paid six months ago and not enough to cover the settlement figure. Being the kind people they are they upped their offer to £500 less than the settlement figure. If they wanted the car desperately they could pay to cover the finance. In the end we decided to keep our car (which we are happy with) and told them this. Thomas started getting defensive and belligerent. It was altogether a tiring and unpleasant experience. The car was also in for four hours (again we were misled) instead of two which meant I was late to work. We will never buy a car from them again. Avoid at all costs!

I have been a town & Country customer for over ten years including the transition to Peter Vardy. Over this time I have purchased two FreeLanders, two Range Rover Sports and two Porche Boxters. I have been appalled by the poor customer support from Peter Vardy over a relatively small issue. Peter Vardy staff have consistently failed to return telephone calls despite promises to do so, on the one occasion they did ring back the lady asked if I had bought my Last Range Rover Sport SDV6 from them as they couldn't find any record of it! We have sent a number of recorded delivery letters to both the Glasgow main office and the Aberdeen branch and failed to receive any response. Having called on numerous occasions we eventually got hold of the Complaints Manager Megan who promised to look into the matter has failed to respond after two and a half weeks despite promising to get back last week. This started Oct 2015 and is still onging, What has happened is that this small matter will now ensure that I never purchase a vehicle from any Peter Vardy franchise and will advise others to do the same. I intend to post the same message on Facebook. James Murphy.

Having received a letter from Vauxhall fir a product recall, I booked for the work to be done at the Vauxhall dealership in aberdeen as stipulated. It took 2 months to get a 'slot' for the work to be done, and before anything else they told me the repair would take all day, despite the letter stating 3 hours. I arrived this morning at 9.15am as requested, and then proceeded to wait 45mins to give someone my keys. Having requested a courtesy car as I have a baby I was mortified to have to rely on my sister in law, who has 2 very young children to wait for me - without any explanation re why I had to wait. Sadly 1 poor customer decided to ask for help, she had been waiting longer, to which the employee muttered under her breath, "that's not my f@#£ing job for f#@k sake" - I therefore waited a further 10mins before asking for assistance. Finally I got my keys passed to someone, which took all of 2mins and was advised my car would be ready about 3pm. Sadly 3pm came and went, and as I was once again relying on my sister in law for help, I called the dealership to ask when my car would be ready - they advised 4.15pm. So duely I arrived to pick my car up at 4.15pm, and saw my car ready in the car park. I advised the man on 'reception' that I had my sick baby in my sister in laws car, and asked how long I would wait. He said I'll get you seen straight away. However i had to wait 25mins before having to get my baby out of the car, as my sister in law had to get home for her wee girl. Understandably anniyed at this point I was surprised to finally get my keys back, with excuses that the mechanics were at fault - frankly untrue - the car was ready and waiting! Called to make a complaint and the manager was to call me back as he was busy - still waiting unsurprisingly! Would avoid this garage at all costs!

To be honest from start was a joke car I seen on internet when went to store car was priced wrong Get call from salesman saying car ready on a Fay at a time , then got a call car delayed by three hours. Once got car had to go back for a tyre and a sensor then to go back for platinum finish which I still belive not done also when got car no Matt's no fuel which I had paid for but fuel has been put in now and Matt's . Staff were friendly but I must admit I feel let down since got car been back twice and to go back again to get dent .Repaired and scratch repaired. I know things happen out with people's controll but I must admit I love the car but I do feel let down. Would I return again for another car probably not but willing to see what happens as salesman still not called to arrange for repairs to be done. I could go on and on but won't. Regards Jim

Phoned to view a car,no call back. Phoned again and was told to come and see it. Travelled from Dundee to Perth to be told the car was not there and had been sold. Not happy. Told "manager" would call within 48 hours. One week later I got a call, just after I had filled out a survey! Really not happy. Terrible service.

Not purchased a new car but just had a repair done at Peter Vardy at Seafield Road and service was appalling they quoted over £1k of repair bills (which I declined) I did have to allow them to put a new coil spring in which when I was first quoted was £382, which was then bought down to £208 and I was charged £185 today?? Although the mechanic promised to ring me yesterday I had to twice ring them and even after getting a hold of the mechanic my car was out on a test drive he promised to ring back which he didn't I then had to ring again this morning he eventually rang me back. I have just been to collect the car and the mechanic again wasn't happy when I said I had spoke to an independent garage and going over the repairs the quotes they gave me over the phone were completely different to the one on the worksheet. For instance I was quoted for 2 front brake pads and disks £190 on the sheet I was given today £398.34 ?? when I pointed this out he scribbled the £398.34 and wrote £199.00 - Honestly what a way to conduct a business there is also an issue with a fuel injector hose which indecently was fitted by them 2 years ago - quotation for this £270 !!!! . Really disgusted in the amount quoted for a car that's only 5 years old will seriously not go back there and would be very reluctant to purchase a Vauxhaull again after this hassle

Was told I would receive a free first year service when buying the car... when it came to getting the service they didnt have any knowledge of this and it ended up costing 50% more than with other cheaper garages... If you are buying anything from these idiots make sure to get everything in writing, once they have your money they couldnt care less.

Agreed to pick the car up at 10am only to be told that there was a problem with the paperwork (rubbish!). Came back at 2 pm to find my car has scuffs and stone chips all over paintwork. 6 days earlier I had agreed to buy the car. A WHOLE 6 DAYS to get this car ready. Immensely let down by Peter vardy. Thought that my salesman Andy Jackson was fantastic but the car being late and the paintwork is a huge let down
