I don't understand their process for processing claims. Our first visit upon getting our pet, has still been in process. I've called twice and still nothing after being told it's been sent to a supervisor for it to be expedited. Had a visit AFTER this wellness claim and just got the EOB and reimbursement is allegedly being sent out. I am in no hurry for the reimbursement but I shouldn't have to continue to call and ask each time a claim is submit. I understand they probably have high call volumes but I can't seem to get a straight answer. For the cost of my policy, it should be more organized, in my opinion. Hopefully it's a fluke and things turn around.

Like all insurance companies, the premiums are high and the coverage is skimpy. They do reimburse when the high deductible is finally reached, but they cover such a narrow range of issues that you are probably not going to benefit more than if you pay vet bills out of pocket.

Once a claim has completed processing, we send out an Explanation of Benefits via email to the Policyholder. If the Explanation of Benefits shows a reimbursement for the claim, the first page of the Explanation of Benefits advises how the reimbursement will be sent, via claim check or direct deposit. The Explanation of Benefits also advises to allow 5 to 7 days for a claim check to arrive, or if the Policyholder has signed up for direct deposit to allow 5 to 7 days for bank processing time. It took longer than I thought for you to review my claim. I wasn't overly happy about the wait time. I don't understand what takes 1 1/2 months to review a claim. Your automatic phone system makes it very difficult to get to a live person. Very frustrating

My last claim took well over a month to be processed. I would have appreciated better communication with me if there was any issues.

Took forever to get our claim processed. And then we were told that our dogs ear infection was a pre-existing condition. So you just don't pay for ear infections is that it? Just because our dog had an ear infection prior to insuring with you means that you will never pay for another one even though she rarj3ly gets one and each one is unique.

Decent company, with terrible claim response times. Always "experiencing higher than normal volumes", which means they are understaffed. If it's always higher than normal, that is normal. Will also try to nickel and dime you to death with claims and semantics on policies. Except to fight every claim and have the state AG email on hand since you will need it.

Wait times to process a simple claim (just an illness appointment and medicine) took over a month to reimburse.

The value of this pet insurance is questionable. The rates and coverage are upfront but I am finding it not to be cost effective and will probably self-insure going forward.

I feel 4-6 wks for claims to be reviewed or longer are ridiculous. It’s amazing how when there’s no payment to go out you get the claim back faster. There should be a max of all claims reviewed in 7-10 days so reimbursements are processed within 20-30 days. Families that need to pay on their credit cards should not be penalized with paying interests.

Well other than it taking over 3 months to get my money back I guess it’s ok. Hopefully we won’t need it again and our boy will stay healthy.
