I recently changed networks from Orange to ee via phones 4 u, unfortunately it wasn't particularly smooth, 2 months after receiving the phone my handset was blocked, I rang ee to find out why, they said it was due to non payment, (I have never not paid or been late on payment) after an hour of arguing with ee it came to light that phones 4 u never sent on my direct debit information meaning I had to pay two months in full due to phones 4 u ' s negligence.

Hi Hannah, Thanks for leaving your comments! I'm so sorry to hear about the service and experience that you've had when upgrading with us, I can assure you that this is not the level of service that we expect. In regards to your direct debit details, we do pass these onto the network as part of your connection process so I am really sorry that this was not set up. What I will be doing is sending you an email with a bit more detail on so we can discuss your account in more detail. I look forward to speaking to you. Thanks, Sam.

The actual purchase process went quite well BUT it was NOT explained to me the full implications of staying with the same phone number and service provider. If I had not stayed with Orange/EE, I would have been able to transfer my phone number without a lot of fuss and hassle. The phone I wanted had 2 different service providers, I did tell your Rep. what I wanted to do. If he had explained the complications about changing contracts BUT keeping the phone number, I would have changed provider. As it turned out, I had to pay for a whole month before I could use my new phone. This was VERY frustrating - I have discussed this with other users who say exactly the same!!!

The initial purchase was fine however since then I have had my mobile stolen. I have contacted them several times regarding proof of purchase required by my insurance company, that was nearly 3 weeks ago, I have since been reassured that e-mails will be sent and paper copies will be posted, not a thing, very poor customer service indeed!

I bought online and when the phone arrived it got damaged during the commissioning process. I took it to a Phones4U shop for help and after sales service but they did not help. My brand new phone still cannot be used with headphones which limits its functionality considerably. I would not use Phones4U again.

I found my experience with Phones 4 u to be unsatisfactory. There website specifically said that if you order before 6pm Monday to Friday you will receive it next day. In my view this meant that because I purchased my phone after said time that I should expect to get mine on the Saturday. I then received a message saying that I would not get my phone until the Monday. Now, if they aren't prepared to deliver on a weekend then that statement on their website should have said order Monday to Thursday for next day delivery. I could have gone to the shop myself to buy it and got a better service had I have known this would be the case. I then phoned them to see why and they said it had left there warehouse and I should bring it up with the courier. So I phoned the courier. They said they hadn't actually got it in there warehouse and had only picked it up at 5:30pm. As Phones 4 U had marked it as next day delivery instead of a Saturday delivery this was why I ended up having to wait. I have since been back to the website and have noticed they have now changed there delivery to Free next day (including Sundays). At no point were they prepared to do anything to help the situation or even to be able to cancel the sale was such a palaver so I just had to go with it. My other gripe is online accounts! Everyone wants you to have one when the chances of you using the company again is minimal. Upon checkout I was rather pleased to see that you had the option to checkout as a guest. However, they then open you one regardless and send you a password of their choosing. Arrrrgh! Another thing that confused me was that I had purchased a Pay as you go handset and I was receiving emails and paperwork with information about contracts and telling me to save my contacts etc. as when the new phone number was active my old one would stop working. This panicked me greatly, A) because I suddenly thought had I done something wrong and accidentally bought the wrong thing and B) this wasn't what I wanted to happen. During my phone call to them they said that as it was a Pay as you go this would not happen, which I can say (thankfully) hasn't. However, this is just yet again one of those things that causes you an unwanted worry. Maybe they should re think the emails/paperwork they send out and only send out what is relevant to the customer? or at the very least have both labelled 'If you have taken out a contract' or 'If you have bought a Pay as you go'.

ORDERED A PHONE WHICH WAS DELIVERED QUICKLY BUT WAS FAULTY. PHONED THE TECHNICAL LINE (NOT A FREE NUMBER) WHO SPENT AGES TRYING TO HELP GET IT WORKING. IT APPEARED THE SPEAKER WAS BROKEN & WERE TOLD WE COULD TAKE IT TO ONE OF THE SHOPS WHO WOULD EXCHANGE IT. HAVING TRAILED INTO TOWN WERE TOLD BY THE SHOP THEY WOULDN'T SWAP IT AS IT WAS BOUGHT ONLINE (STILL SAME COMPANY?!) WE THEN HAD TO WAIT FOR A RETURN ENVELOPE TO BE SENT OUT SO WE COULD RETURN THE PHONE. MY PARTNER NOW HAS TO WAIT FOR A REPLACEMENT & HAS ALREADY WAISTED A WEEK OF THE FIRST MONTH & HAS NO PHONE IN THE MEANTIME!!

Top up credit bought with phone was never activated so the phone was unusable for days, until I sorted things out with a less that helpful person at Orange and an overly apologetic person at Phones4u. Literature provided with phone was incorrect and useless.

I ordered a contract with the galaxy ace three phone and I was satisfied with the service in the sense that it came the next day as promised with a time frame so that I was not stuck indoors waiting. However about 2-3 weeks ago I asked wrote a question on the website about the phone and I still haven't received an answer. Inclusive to this I also did not receive earphones with my phone as is the norm when ordering a Samsung phone. I thought that this was a problem that I should raise with Samsung who said that it is the duty of phones4u to carry out and that they (Samsung) usually do send out earphones with their phones. I contacted phones4u and was told that it was not standard to send out earphones which I feel is totally incorrect and I was also told that I would be given a £10 accessory voucher which I was unsatisfied with. I do feel that the service itself was good when it came to taking my money but I felt very let down when I was told I would not be receiving a pair of earphones or a voucher with the correct value of the headphone's worth, since the quality of Samsung earphones are quite good they are worth more than the £10 offered to me. One final issue that I had was that when searching for accessories for my phone there was no easy way of finding what was available and items for other phones would pop up even when filtered.

The product purchased was very good and delivery from DPD supurb, however the emails and phone calls pushing me to buy a product was not pleasing to my experience. Also, a difference in price between buying online and in store was disappointing, especially as I was purchasing a SIM Free handset! In the end I bought from you as you have exclusivity on this model, but not a pleasing experience.

When buying the phone you have to put on £10 of credit. This didn't go on and every time I phoned Phones 4 You I was told that it could take 48 hours. However after 3 days it still hadn't be put on so a refund was made. this refund only got to my bank account today, 2 weeks and 2 days after I was promised it. Also, when I tried to log on to Orange the message kept coming up saying that the number wasn't recognised. I made 2 contacts to Phones 4 You who were no help at all. I sorted it myself in the end

Purchased a play as you go phone and £10 top up. I rang several days after as I had not received my top up. I was told that the £10 would be credited back to my bank account however a week later had to ring them again as the credit had not been received. I was at first told that I would receive it within 35 days and after saying that this was unacceptable I was told within 6 working days. We await with bated breath.

The phone was ok but delivery was very poor. Delivery date given was Saturday 26th, actual delivery was Tuesday 29th. The phone was at the nearest depot on Friday 25th and not put out for delivery until Tuesday 26th. I can see that perhaps DPD did not deliver on saturday, but would have exepocted delivery On Monday, not Tuesday

I started to receive E-mails from Phones 4 U to say that I has started a new contract from a shop in Scotland and that direct debits would start being taken from my account. I called them and was told that they had the incorrect email address. I have continued to receive emails from them and now they are asking me to write a review....... THEY DO NOT LISTEN EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS TO TELL THEM THAT THEY HAVE THE INCORRECT DETAILS FOR A NEW CUSTOMER......

I had issues with regards to incorrect addresses, email addresses, signing up for Direct Debit but had to pay bills manually and not being informed my SIM card would be switched off before my new one arrived. I followed the complaints process and recevied an apology - although, these mistakes should not have happended in the first place. Phones 4 U will not be considered the next time I upgrade.
