I contacted Phones4u in search of an upgrade. The initial contact was fine and I received my new phone the following day. I was promised a free Galaxy Gear with the purchase and was told that I would have to wait 20 day for the GG. There was no further contact. NO letter, call or e - mail confirming the GG. 20 days later I had to contact P4U. I did not receive any contact from P4U, I had to chase the GG. I'M NOT IMPRESSED BY CUSTOMER CARE, VERY LACKING AND POOR EFFORT.

Hello I got a new phone through your head office and I got told that he would cancel my old phone contract which he didn't and because of this we have been paying for a phone that hasn't been used since middle of May and now won't stop paying till next month because I was told that it was cancelled. Because of this I won't be using phone 4 u for my next contract in 2 years time. I feel like I have been lied to just to get the sale from me.

The charger wire for my new I-phone 5c stopped working after a couple of weeks. I reported it to phones 4u and was told I could go into my local branch to receive a replacement. When I went all they could offer me was a generic charger not a genuine Apple one. When you spend so much money on a contract you expect a genuine replacement NOT an inferior generic product. I contacted customer services and all they could offer me was a £15 money transfer so I could by my own genuine replacement. Apart from more inconvenience I was asked to provide my bank details, which I found un acceptable. Therefore Ive been left with a faulty I-phone charger and a generic replacement. Not good customer service and I won't be recommending Phones 4u

I purchased an upgrade to the contract I have had direct with Vodafone for years as the price was good, which was fine and I received my new handset very quickly. It wasn't until I received my first bill I noticed I had been assigned a brand new contract with a new phone, meaning I now had two phone contracts, not what I asked for. This is matter is currently being investigated and upon listening to my initial conversation with the sales lady phones4u have admitted their mistake, I was mis-sold. The two members of the customers sales team I have spoken to have been easy to deal with and now im waiting for someone to phone me back to confirm if they can cancel the contract I didn't ask for in the first place, its been a week. I will be phoning back tomorrow to check on progress as payment has come out for the first month and it has to be dealt with before my next bill comes round.

Customer service was excellent. However, was completely misinformed with regards to my new billing process. Was assured when I updraded my direct debit was set up and would come out on the same day as normal. After my first month with my new phone the direct debit did not come out and when I phoned EE it had not been set up and the billing was a completely different process and I ended up having to pay over £80 more than what I was told. Phones4u staff should be aware of the processess for for all companies that they are selling for. Customers should not be misinformed like this and I was very unhappy. I was put into financial difficulty because of it and would not recommend the service to anyone.

The staff at the shop in Maidenhead where I purchased the deal were fantastic. Sadly, I have two issues. The first is that I was bombarded with cold calls/e-mails in the first two weeks and I have spent a lot of time (and money calling premium numbers) trying to stop this and finding out how they all got my details. It would appear that this was done though Phones4u and Vodaphone when I clearly stated on the contract agreement over the phone that my personal details are not to be given to any third party. The second is there seems to be intermittent problems when needing to charge my phone as sometimes will not charge and I do not know if it is the phone or the charger with the problem. Will someone contact me to acknowledge these issues and offer me a solution/advice?

Hi Karl, Thanks for getting in touch and leaving your review. I'm really sorry to hear that you changed your mind on the upgrade that you placed. At the time that you took out your upgrade with us, as it is a continuation of a previous agreement that you had then there is no cancellation period. This will have been advised and read on the legal script with the sales agent when placing your order. I am really sorry for any inconvenience that this caused. Kind Regards,

None of the several staff I spoke to after I received a faulty phone knew what to do to return the phone because I'd ordered it online rather than buying from a shop. Even the sales assistant in the shop had problems finding someone who knew what to do with my phone and was bounced back and forth between head office and tech support. Took a ridiculous amount of time to sort out, and a ridiculous amount if time waiting for a replacement phone. Terrible customer service.

Hello Catherine, Thanks for getting in touch and providing us with your feedback. I am really sorry to hear about the experience that you've had when exchanging your faulty phone and the inconvenience that it has caused. I can assure you that we do aim to make this as quick and easy as possible. As you have purchased your phone over online/over the phone with us, it does mean that we do need to process your exchange for you and it can not be done in store. This is so that we can make sure your account is fully noted and kept up to date at all times. I am so sorry for the timescale that it did take, we do aim to complete all exchanges as quickly as possible. Thanks again for your feedback, it will be passed on so that improvements can be made going forward. Thanks, Sam.

They promise all stuffs with false information and after signing up the contract they ditch the customer. If you enquire abt that again and question them they just say apology. As mine was an upgrade they did not even given me an option of cancelling the contract. So I did not given any option other than continue with the contract. Don't trust these guys. What ever they say is only the marketing strategy. Note that you cannot speak to the same person with whom you signed in the contract which makes them easy to wash off their hands with just an apology. Very much unsatisfied with the purchaase.

I was inform me I could update my phone, I asked would it be trouble free and easy, no it was not!!!!!!!! My switch from Orange to EE has been a disaster, no direct debit set up, 2 late payments now sat on my credit file, sat on the 150 number for 40mins trying to correct it, great service!!! I have asked for my credit file to be corrected, if it is not put right I will be going to the Ombudsman! I expect to have the credit file correction confirmed in writing. Ken Dale

I had to return a Moto G SIM Free handset straight away because it was sold without a charger and the Phones4U web site was not clear on this. It has taken 10 days for them to send a return self-addressed envelop. I can imagine it would take couple of weeks before my money is refunded.

Hi John, Thanks for getting in touch. I am really sorry for the inconvenience that this has caused, I believe with this particular phone the manufacturer only provide the USB cable so that you connect to your laptop/PC. I'm so sorry about this, and understand that our Customer Service Team did take a look and offered to cover the cost of a charger for you. In regards to the return the bag should not have taken that long and should have been with you within a maximum of 5 working days. I've checked your account and can see that the refund has been processed, so do hope everything is now okay? Thanks again for getting in touch. Sam.
