“Unfortunately the first frame was badly damaged in transit by the courier. Picframes was responsive, and managed to get another frame assembled and shipped very quickly in only a week and a half. Regarding the frame itself, we are happy with the look of the frame and that it has been assembled according to our specifications. However, the frame feels worryingly flimsy - it flexes extremely easily. While I understand that this shouldn't matter once a picture is hanging on a wall, for my preference I would have preferred something that felt more robust, and that is something I would be looking to ensure on any future frame purchase.”

“I WILL ONCE I HAVE RECEIVED IT. DHL HAVE DEKIVERED TO THE WRONG ADDRESS, SENT THEM TWO MESSGAES AND HEARD NOTHING, PLEASE CHASE FOR ME PLEASE. REGARDS MIKE”

“The service was excellent, from ordering to being kept up to date with progress, to delivery. Sadly the product itself was a disappointment. Perhaps it was due to the size I chose but the frame was held together with a small piece of hardboard screwed to the central area. It had to be removed to insert my picture and to remove the protective cover of the acrylic. When I went to reassemble the picture it was very difficult. It bowed in the middle and it took two of us to complete the job. One of us had to squeeze the frame together to get the hardboard to line up. We managed but not before splitting the frame. I would be very reluctant to order another frame off you. To be honest it was a nightmare.”

“It took a while to arrive (I ordered a mount) and at one point I was worried I might have been scammed but when it arrived it was beautiful.”

“I’m sorry to say I haven’t received it yet! I’ll blame C19 but it was a long time before I got an update on despatch and had sent a prompt before I got one. I’m hopeful that the product comes up to scratch otherwise disappointment will be twofold. I’m sitting on the fence by giving it a 3 which I think is generous”

“Considering this is a made to measure service, the mount and backing were far smaller than the frame which means that the picture moves within the frame despite the taping.”

“Quality is excellent however the ordering system could do with line drawn diagrams to show detail of each frame. It wasn’t quite what I thought I had ordered which wasn’t a problem in my case but could have been disastrous. If this was clearer I would give them 5/5”

“Looks lovely from the front, but the back was covered in dirty marks and a huge blob of grey glue or something. As I ordered it for a birthday present to be delivered quickly, I decided to keep it but I must admit if I'd had more time I would have sent it back. I know it's the back of the frame but I would still want it to look acceptable.”

“One frame was perfect but the custom frame was 1 mm wider on one end than another so had to trim my print a little bit.”

“Frame arrived quickly, was as described and is of nice quality. However, the packaging was put together in such a way that the staples holding the frame in place were put in the wrong way around - with the sharp edges outwards.. These caused a large scratch on my (admittedly shabby) kitchen table as I laid it down to open the box. Not a big problem for me, but if I had a nice polished table I'd be furious. Take care when unwrapping!”

“Very happy with the frame itself, but not at all happy with the way it was delivered. I know this is more of an issue for DHL than picframes and I'm complaining to DHL separately, but at the end of the day I ordered from picframes... The box arrived (with FRAGILE tape around it) with a rip at one end and crushed and bent at the other - on closer inspection it had two large boot prints on it! If I'd been in to receive it personally I would have rejected it. I absolutely expected to find it smashed when I opened it up - God only knows how but it had survived.”

“Good solid frame but disappointed with colour, it was described as light grey but is darker than I expected, more mid grey.”

“Italian silver foil finish frame 628 x 793 with mount I received the frame timely and very well packed. Unfortunately, I must say the frame came chipped in the middle of one side and one of the nails (don´t know the proper name) which keep image, board and glaze in place came out immediately after opening it. Quality is relatively good, but honestly I was expecting something better for the price.”
