“Very slow service. Virtually impossible to contact regarding the order. Quoted 5 to 7 day delivery on the website, the frame actually took nearly three weeks to arrive. The frame seems reasonably well constructed but not entirely sure quality matches the price, only time will tell. Won't be using this company again.”

“Paid a lot for Tommy frame. It took a good 10 days to arrive and has turned up a flimsy quality and with dent marks in some of the wood.”

“Very disappointed with the quality of this product. Expensive, weak, wobbly and made of cheap materials. Not a patch on an IKEA frame. Sure, I am paying for a bespoke size, but this thing is awful. Even in the wall it looks cheap. Shocking for the price charged.”

“The picture frame was exactly what I ordered and fitted perfectly. However the corner joints are not perfectly lined up and the frame had a rubbing mark down one side that hasn’t come off. The protective film could do with some tags to help remove it though the finished effect is good. Perhaps two stars is a bit harsh. Three might have been fairer, on reflection.”

“The frame took over a month to be processed and when came tge 2 mounts were cut so badly they were unusable. On telephoning the company, they promised to re send new mounts, 2 weeks on they have not materialised.”

“In the past 5 years I have brought 9 frames from PicFrames. The first being in 2016 and the latest being in 2021 and I'm disappointed in how the quality of the frames have decreased but the price has increased. The latest frame that I ordered in 2021, which is the same frame I ordered in 2016, arrived poorly put together (wobbly at the joints) and a small paint chip missing on the side. The better quality fame I brought in 2016 cost £28 and the poorer one in 2021 cost £48. Unfortunately in future I'll have to shop elsewhere.”

“Long lead time (blamed on Covid of course) and poor communication. Had to chase my order as it took a week before we received confirmation of our order. Good point is that it was cheap in comparison to other supplier but I wouldn’t shop here again.”

“Unfortunately none of the mitres on the frame were correct and all had gaps. This is a basic prerequisite for a producer of frames and so I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.”

“I was hoping to frame a painting for my granddaughter's birthday. The order took 18 days to arrive: it arrived the day before her birthday and as I opened it, I was initially pleased by the appearance of the frame and colour of the mount. It was then that I noticed three linear scratches on the perspex. It was too late to do anything and the perspex is a poor substitute for glass anyway. I had to drive to the nearest town and buy a piece of glass. I emailed Picframes, who assured me that they would reply in 24 hours. That was three days ago and i have heard nothing. Perhaps they blame Covid, or if they are from the south of England , it will be Brexit. I think it is old fashioned incompetence - not checking the order before sending. This was clearly an unsatisfactory service and I will not use them again.”

“Delivery arrived a week after my daughter's birthday and selecting the white frame in proportion to the mount proved beyond me; basically I have not got what I wanted and I am forced to accept compromise. Disappointing.”

“I ordered two frames, very excited to frame some of my paintings as I’ve just started painting again after 25yrs… On the first delivery both frames were damaged - probably through poor packaging - PicFrames words not mine. They replaced both frames without question and they arrived within a week. The larger of the two frames was yet again damaged. The small frame looked perfect. Customer services were once again very apologetic and very quick to try and rectify the issue. I received a third frame within 24 hours and this was perfect. However having now come to frame the pictures over the weekend, the smaller of the frames is a totally different size to the original order - I’d focussed on the quality and assumed it would be the same as size I’d ordered. So I now have five frames - but only one of which is usable!”

“thought your measurements were in cms not mms and ended up with a tiny frame when needing a very large one. Price was rather large for a small picture frame.”

“Having had to wait nearly a month only to receive a frame different to my order, was rather disappointed.Having waited so long have kept it . In their favour they were good in keeping me informed.”

“Not very impressed unfortunately. I thought due to the price I’d be getting a high quality frame however I guess I paid for the ‘handmade’ element of it. The large frame I ordered came with no hanging fittings and it’s too flimsy to hang by the frame alone. Whilst I was kept up to date on the delays in delivery time it took a long time (!)”

“We had this frame made to our dimensions, and it was duly delivered, albeit slowly (Covid, presumably). It was carefully packaged, but upon inspecting the frame, it must be said that the quality of the wood used, (natural barefaced oak), was not good! There were chips in it at two corners together with a rough finish, and rubbing your fingers over the surface, it was sharp, almost to the point of getting a splinter. Compared to the other sides butting up to it, there was quite a difference in wood quality. We are not very happy with this product. I suppose we can sand down the rough finish, but that doesn't fill the holes/chips. Considering the cost, this was not a good purchase.”

“The Frame is beautifully crafted. the only problem I have is that is is 10% the size it needed to be. The website (that I could see) did not obviously advise the sizes were in millimetres, not centimetres. So I now have a very well made - very small frame. I am currently looking for a postage stamp or two to fit it.”
