“Lovely frame but...there was a small crack in what is probably a knot in the wood. This showed up against the cream of the frame but as my picture is a Christmas present I have filled this crack with cream paint that I mixed to match. I believe that for the price Picframes could have included cord and inexpensive fixings.”

“Good quality, quick service. Slightly disappointing that an order for two matching wood frames are of slightly different colour. I accept that natural wood can differ, but surely with an order for two frames, the supplier could ensure they matched.”

“Speed of delivery was very good. BUT replacing glass with perspex is rubbish; the perspex has a distinctly blue tinge which completely alters the image you under it.”

“Frame is nicely made and arrived more quickly than expected. However, because I ordered the thinnest frame available, the hanging brackets were too large for the frame.”

“Easy to use website, kept me informed with the production and delivery. I had quite a wide frame and wanted a slim moulding. Sadly the system let me choose something which was way too flimsy for such a wide piece, which resulted in a frame that was really bendy on the longer sides. I think the system should have flagged up that this wasn't a good choice, or locked it out from larger pieces.”

“I have used pic frames before and had great results. This time Okish!! Quality slightly down can see cut marks and pencil mark on board corners. And on more expensive frame corners not perfectly together edge on. But these small defects won’t stop me ordering again but please don’t drop standards you are a great company.”

“Frame arrived with a chip on the corner, even though it was very well packed. Too much hassle to return, and also didn't want to wait for a new frame, so touched up with a black Sharpie pen. Other than that, frame was ok.l”

“OK for basic framing. Good value, and the workmanship on the timber was good. HOWEVER, the frame material was very rough on two edges, and the glazing hadn't been fully cut at one corner where a projecting sharp edge has to be forced into the frame leaving the glazing bowed.”

“I needed a large frame which I could not buy therefore used picframes. Overall happy with my purchase, size was exact to what I had requested. But disappointed with the quality of the frame, wood a bit rough in places and when hanging the top of the frame bends slightly. If I could have bought the size I needed from a shop it would probably have been half the price for a similar quality.”

“Good quality frame, just as ordered. The standard delivery charge for UK customers is £5.99 but charge extra for Scottish Highlands and Islands, but you don't find out until the last minute. This is another company with discriminatory delivery charges.”

“Good product at a reasonable price but let down by poor delivery service. Frame should have arrived Tuesday and after three days of chasing the frame finally arrived. Staff at Picframes were persistent with the carrier and eventually managed to sort the matter.”

“Got several splinters handling the oak frames I ordered. Whilst frames not damaged the packing was wholly inappropriate with the frames moving around in the packaging. Similar items from other suppliers had corner protection, bubble wrapped, then cling filmed and packed tightly. Frames do however look nice.”

“Well, yes, the frames arrived undamaged and within your delivery time as promised but .... There was some distortion of the backing and mount due obstruction from some of the clips. I found the frames very difficult to unpack - being stapled and packed very tightly. In the interests of getting the frames to me undamaged, I believe you have definitely overdone that. I am not frail and weak, but if I were I believe I would have to obtain help in the unpacking. Also, I have ordered my frames previously from Frames.co.uk., and this competitor includes all of the hanging accessories - so I missed that aspect. It's a competitive world I'm afraid. “You have sent this before the frames have arrived. Unfortunately Parcelforce have let you down and failed to meet their 48 delivery promise. So you might want to claim some of that money back!”
