“My dog is a very fussy eater and poppy’s picnic is the only food she has consistently eaten since we got her! She absolutely loves the cookable raw so now we don’t have to worry about constantly trying to find new food brands for her to try. Only thing we would like is another low fat meal as well as the chicken.”

“My two boys seem to like it. Especially when cooked. Their poos are solid snd they hover when I stick it in the pan to cook, so must smell nice. Add a bit of carrot and biscuit and they eat it. Long term? We shall see.”

“Poppy's picnic has been a super simple and easy way to introduce our new pup to a raw food diet, he absolutely loves his dinners. His coat is looking super healthy and shiny since switching too. Only downside is the brand is on the more expensive side compared to others so we can't afford it all the time for such a large breed dog.”

Dear Anonymous and your new pup Thanks for shopping with us - so pleased to hear that your new pup is enjoying our food and you can see a difference in his coat The majority of our ingredients are from our surrounding countryside and we only work with Wiltshire farmers, who all carry the red tractor standard mark. Buying free range and introducing more and more organic can make us a little more expensive If you would like me to help you with tips on feeding a large breed dog please let me know Thanks for the lovely review too! “The quality of complete meals are wonderful and our cockapoo, Archie, seems to love them. We ordered a trial pack initially and have now signed up to the subscription as he loved them so much. The super sprinkles are brilliant too - nice little extra crunchy treat to top the meals off. The only downside is that Archie is very active and has a very high metabolism and needs to eat almost double the daily recommended amount for his age/weight. Poppy’s Picnic says he needs about 280g as an “active dog” but he eats a whole pack (450g) a day to maintain his weight (12.5-13kg). The subscription box does not let you add any extra to the box so Archie is going to be short on food as they only send 16 packets every 27 days. Wish there was an option to add additions to your subscription order? (there possibly could be, but it wouldn’t let me when I tried..)”

Hi Hannah & Archie Firstly , thank you for shopping with us - we are so pleased to read that Archie is loving our food The amount you feed depends on breed, age and activity levels - this can vary from dog to dog. Dogs do burn fat for energy At the moment customers are unable to change their subscriptions themselves. This is something that we are currently looking into, and hope to offer in the future In the meantime we are always happy to help and assist you in making changes to your subscription Thanks for this lovely review too! “My puppy simply wouldn't eat. She was probably getting 1/3 of her required daily intake and I started to panic. We tried all the commercial dry foods, whatever the cost, and even mixed it with wet food. But after one day of new food the novelty always wore off. Then I discovered raw food at a local pet store and transitioned immediately. She LOVED it. Then I found Poppy's Picnic and now she literally shakes and howls when she knows it's food time. The subscription means I'm never without which is a bonus. I have found some of the interactions with the support team frustrating, and had a couple of order problems, but nothing bad enough to deter me. My puppy is happy so I am happy.”
