I like that Prep Expert offered many practice tests and enforced deadlines. Isabella Raicu was my instructor and she was good at explaining english concepts. I have not taken the ACT and my goal score is a 33. I have met my goal on each test and was able to get a 35 on five tests and even a 36 on one test. I continued to see improvement throughout the course. The math and english sections were very informative.

Prep Expert provided several strategies that helped me improve my score almost immediately. One thing that I particularly loved about the course however was how patient my instructor Mr. Miguel was! He answered every one of my questions, which ultimately helped me better understand each concept I encountered.

Miguel Chavira was my instructor and I liked how he always elaborated on the topic. It allowed us to have a deeper insight into the thought process behind things.

Instructor name: Ilia Kolmagorov. I think the course was helpful, I appreciate that the practice tests and homework were real ACT tests to allow for a solid understanding of how the test is set up.

I had slight score improvement through taking this course and I think it really helped my understanding of how I should go about answering SAT questions. I feel like I now have a better understanding of the types of questions that will be asked of me and my instructor David Hill was very helpful in answering questions I needed!

I would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking for a general review of content before the SAT. The reading strategies were extremely helpful and my score improved 140 points. The math strategies are not as good as the reading but they are a great overview. My instructors name is Ilia Kolmagorov and he is great! He makes the class as interactive and entertaining as possible while still teaching.

Justin was very helpful with preparing me for my SAT in June. Before this course I got a 1310 on one of the blue book practice tests, and I’ve improved a lot more on the practice tests given on PrepExpert. I think most of this is because of the review that we did in class and the concepts that we learned made me way more confident in my answers, especially in the reading section. Overall this course helped me in both reading and math and hopefully I can use well.

My instructor Kevin has been a great catalyst in my learning improvements in preparation for the SAT. With his unique guidance in each of his class sessions, I’ve developed greatly valuable test taking strategies and overall comprehension of the test material that makes me feel confident in my ability to achieve a test in one of the highest percentiles. His commitment to ensuring his students excel shined through from the start to finish of each zoom meeting and I am greatly appreciative to have been one of his students in the capstone course.

My instructor was Ilia Kolmagrorov and he was exceptional. He really made sure the classes didn’t get dull by keeping it exciting. He also would start every lesson with an exercise to put us in a zone of focus. Whenever he saw a question he would get to it immediately and I’ve never seen him miss a question. Genuinely great material that will definitely help for a score improvement on the SAT.

My instructor was Tessa Gebert. I’ve taken this course twice and this time around was by far the best because I saw a major improvement in my score (over 200 points from the lowest psat score). She knew essentially all the material and provided different methods of approaching a problem, for example doing a problem algebraically and graphically. Additionally, hearing her personal connections to studying for her LSAT was relatable and we could see how the studying methods applied for majority of tests and how she utilizes them too. The only reason my rating wasn’t 5 stars was because some of the problems I think could’ve been solved quicker and with an easier approach, so going over the practice from the homework could’ve been shorter.

It had helped but I wish it would show you how to do that math concepts rather than show you a problem you missed and expect you to know how to do the rest of the ones similar. My instructor was Isabella Raicu. She did well but I wish some things were different pertaining to the math portion.

I think the prep expert courses aren’t entirely worth the price and work of the classes because the curriculum is concentrated into a single PowerPoint presentation, which can be read in a short article by anyone without the need of an instructor. The teacher Tessa Gebert was very helpful, but I believe they could have been more familiar with the course and updated on recent important changes to the SAT test that could affect students’ scores. Compared to PSAT scores, I have improved, but most of my improvement was from practicing the tests instead of learning from the courses. The courses do explain a lot of strategies on how to make the test easier or faster, but most of the teaching time is wasted on reviewing many basic mathematical concepts or mechanical functions in English. If the course was written into a book, then it would be no longer than 50 pages. I believe most of the improvement on SAT takers can be made through completing questions and quickly reviewing the key concepts. The course was not a waste of time, but there were days when easy course material was reviewed for too long.
