“Pulte buyers beware- I am building a with pulte in starling here in Las Vegas. I am less than a week from being done (after waiting 9 months) I was told these would be the doors in my $1mil house- I was told I’d be charge a daily fine for not accepting the house with these doors, as they have deemed the house done. I can write a novel of misery and aggravation -to include threats to make me switch lenders at the last minute, to the dismissive local sales staff , zero empathy. Corporate directs you the local team, and the local team blames corporate. Please consider another builder or make sure you GET IT WRITTING . I’ll consider removing this if I get a call from someone not from Vegas team- I specifically do not want to hear from Angela Steffen or Ray Abraham .”
“RUN RUN RUN!!!! Pulte is crooked, corrupt and an awful company to do business with. They don't follow through on their promises. Purchased a new home in Sterling Ridge community. Only at the beginning stages of construction and can already see that these homes are stamped out using the cheapest grade materials with the most untalented crews in the industry. Don't know how they are passing inspections but I have my suspicions. Bottom length of wood trusses butt fit in pieces connected with joist connectors. Sloppy framing details i.e. parts of sill plate missing foam barrier, cardboard sheathing haphazardly installed (over-lapped joints, different bottom lengths at sill, stapled, the worst (almost comical) air-sealing tape job I've ever seen, 10yr shingles. I can only imagine what's next based on the reviews I've seen on many other sites. Carlos Cortez is the worse Field Manager, lack of communication all the time.”
“Do not I repeat do not buy a home from pure homes until you go talk to people living in the area where you want to buy. Pure homes are cheaply built even getting passed by state inspectors that do not meet specifacations. We at Hamilton springs in louiyky have to fight pulse every step of the way and now are in the proceyof suing the company. Pure has only one thing in the mission and that is profit not quality. I’m just say go check it out with the residences and I bet the majority of you will not buy from pulte homes”
“Awful home builder. We had an independent inspection service come out and inspect our new Pulte home. He found many problems. Some are structural. Thousands of dollars of repairs are needed.
Now we are being dismissed by the so-called Pulte Customer Care Manager. Seeing a lawyer.”
“Sales man was not helpful answering questions. also made nasty comment when I was walking out the door, " should dress up to look at homes" I had shorts and shirt on did not know I had to were business clothes to look at houses. Sapphire Point Lakewood Ranch location. I will not buy anything from Pulte with a sales team that is so judgemental of customers.”
“My husband and I would NOT recommend Pulte Homes to any prospective buyer. There are problems with their construction and their warranty. After moving in, Pulte had to come back, tear up the up stair flooring and re-stabilize the ceiling due to the flooring creaking like a hundred year old house. Then while we were still in warranty, the foundation cracked all the way horizontally. There were two levels of concrete cutting through the dining room flooring, and presenting a dangerous situation!! !! They would only cosmetically fix it, but NOT the REASON for the crack. They filled the crack with some type of strong filler, and 8 months later, the filler failed and the same problem occurred. Again they fixed ONLY the cosmetic part, not the REASON for the problem. We hired a Certified Engineer to take measurements, and they said it was out of tolerance. We spent thousand of dollars to pier the foundation. Please check out your home builder, and know that Pulte is not a wise decision!!! Save yourself a lot of time, worry, and expense by choosing a good home builder. If we can save only one prospective buyer from making a bad decision in choosing a home builder, this review will have been definitely worth our time. We would like to prevent present and future home buyers from all the problems we experienced with Pulte.”
“I called and asked two simple questions. Can't you put a fence in the back yard and type of fence. I won't I spoke was dumber than a nail or their marketing department needs work.
I been in sales with Sherwin Williams and then I went into medical sales. I knew the product and Medicare guidelines front and back.
Realtors don't sell a home, they show a home. I never pay 6% because their not worth it.”
“They lie. They have shoddy “craftsmanship”. When something goes wrong (and yes, under warranty) they avoid calls and never get back with you when you leave a message. Never ever EVER use this builder.”
“Check out the quality of Pulte home recently purchased for $630k and appraised for $675k. Will share more photos later!
House is appraised for $675K. I am sharing some photos of this wonderful house.
Pulte Homes don’t give a damn about their clients #pultehomes.
Salesperson Charity has told me that she can’t give me phone number for the upper management to talk regarding an unfinished home which was recently closed with a promise that house will be done by the time you guys close and then house will be done by time you will be back from closing. 5-6 hours work was left and most of that is still as-is after a Month.
Home inspection was done and there were many issues with the house. Got the house inspected again at given time by Builder but inspection came out almost the same. So basically no issues were fixed that came in Inspection Report. I asked #pultehomes if we need to postpone the closing due to house will not be done via email. #pultehomes told us that it will be done by time inspector will arrive here. But nothing was done. Paid inspector again. I have both inspection reports on file. So I asked Pulte homes (Builder) again if we need to postpone the closing. He said everything will be done before closing tomorrow morning. So we came next day before closing for final walk through and everything was as is ( still no work done) Only one guys was working on master bathroom bathtub. Builder start making excuses that my guys got late last night so they are on the way and they should be here any minute and it will be done by the time you will be back from closing. So came back after 4-5 hours and saw house as-is, dirty with paint spots on floor and door handles, Switches and sockets not aligned, Sump pump pit with mud and trash, basement beems with mud on, a hole by the basement beam to the garage and all the other issues in the inspection report and the guy working on bathtub left the work in the middle before we came from closing and never came back. So we called Builder. Now it’s been a month and struggle still continues to get the house done since then. House should have been finished before closing. Builders shouldn’t force buyer’s to close on a house with false promises if house is not 100% complete.
When asked sales person to get me the contact for upper management. Her answer was that she doesn’t want to give contact information because she doesn’t feel like upper management should be involved and she is not authorized to give upper management phone # to a Realtor, Seriously.
Builder built 6ft wall separating side yard from back yard with no access and saying that this is total normal.
BUYERS, Make sure your house is completed before you close. DO NOT close on house if not at 100% completion. Waiting few days is better than struggling.

“Do yourself a favor and never buy from Centex/Pulte. Service sucks, build quality sucks, and if you catch them slipping in a terrible job on something they hit you with delays and blame you for "introducing a third party inspection at this late stage" as if the problem is the inspection and not their terrible mistakes.
I caught them putting on a roof crooked, several of my outlets were not working, and there were other problems throughout the house.
My inspector said it was one of the BETTER Pulte homes he had seen in the area.
I closed because of value gains in the area, but yeah unless you are going to have significant equity gain due to location go with someone else.”
“I would give this no stars if it was an option. RUN RUN RUN!!!! Pulte is crooked, corrupt, and an awful company to do business with. They take pride in their warranty program and use it as a selling point, but in all reality it SUCKS!! They don’t follow through on their promises or fulfilling their warranty obligations unless you harass and threatening them repeatedly. And still, the job doesn’t get done right. They hire GARBAGE and your house is the end result. PUT YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. Oh, and their customer service is sub par! I can’t believe they are still in business. DONT DO IT!! Especially in Macomb Mi.”
“Building with Pulte from start to finish has been the worst 2 years of my life. They are an atrocious company with endless mistakes and arguments that have tainted our ability to enjoy our brand new expensive home. I regret our decision to have ever chosen them as a builder and would pay a much higher cost to go with a good quality, professional, and knowledgeable builder in the future. We are still in the warranty process 1year after closing and I wish I could say it gets better but it's become worse. Countless mistakes, lack of communication, lack of accountability and reliability to name a few. If you work from home or are a stay at home parent, this can be done, otherwise, RUN!!!! It isn't possible to accomplish the extensive warranty work with 10-20 contractors while having a full-time job. The painters also scuffed up our brand new 4K fridge which we are currently fighting with Pulte and the Painters to cover the cost of the fix. We've had ever issue in the home from framing, to electrical, plumbing, flooring, tile, grout, windows, siding, drywall, and paint. The house is built with very low quality and many corners are cut by every trade. Keep your money and apply it to a different home - please don't fall victim for this scam of a corporation. They have lied to us on so many different occasions starting with promising us they didn't know what would happen to the woods behind our house and charged us a premium for our lot because it was private backing up to the woods. Come to find out a year later, Pulte is tearing down the woods and putting up another subdivision directly behind us. We are selling soon!”
“Worst construction ever. Have had water intrusion on four occasions in two years. Last week a major intrusion. They are a do nothing organization, take no responsibility for the poor sub contractors they hire and hardly pay them a working wage. You get what you pay for. POOR QUALITY !!! and that equals POOR MANAGEMENT !!!”
“Everything when wrong since day one
We felt a bad attitude from the sales team, did not want to give information about the lots or the houses
Waited 3 months before the decided to sale a lot but the house price went up $50k and the lot $140k more in 3 months
And all because every time i went there they told me
Well we did the sales for this month
So we put you for next month sales
So every week the house price went up $10k It happened for 3 months
My neighbor went there the same afternoon that i went to try to get a lot
And they offered him a lot but in the same morning they told me they don’t have any lots and they called him to 2 weeks later to get contract we them
i had to wait 3 months and had to speak to a manager in order to get the lot
I had to ask my realtor to go next they to get a lot for us and he did that was the only way we got a lot
We felt discrimination
Because they decided who they want to sale the houses to according to how they look i lost the chance lo purchase a house there
They have to stop doing that.”
“We would NEVER buy or recommend a Pulte Home to anyone. Even when a home is still in Home Owner Warranty, which ours was, they will fix ONLY cosmetic affect, but not the the REASON for the problem!!! This cost us thousands of dollars to fix the cause. We live in San Antonio, Texas. Look for a good home builder. Don’t go through what we went through.”
“A bad experience from the beginning. Sales person was very nice but did not tell us everything she should have. Once resolved on that they started to build the wrong house but I caught that for them. The house next door was started 2 weeks after ours but finished 3 weeks sooner. Final walkthrough was a joke, page and a half of things not right including a front door you could open with a screwdriver. Poor quality, if you buy a new home there should be no repairs on thing that should be new when you get them but poor workmanship just damaged them and a band aid should be good enough they say.”
“We have asked 5 times for them to fix a concrete expansion strip before some one trips now we’re over the 2 year mark
Our house is 3 years old and already we had to have exterior trim repainted.
Because of all the cracks and lousy paint job. Vandalia Plainfield Indiana”
“Nails popping through everywhere - floors are paper thin-neighbors above us from hell- The Dartmouth group management company is a waste of money- the board is run by the builders(conflict of interest) we have been awake for five months and nothing is done about it- take your money and run!!!!!
I wish I could give them a 1/2 star”
