“Diabolical… AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! 3 viewers since august 2021, massively undervalued house and still didn’t sell it, referred to Auction company even though local agents have valued it at £20k more and no sign board up for last 2 months and when there was a sign board up at start of development there was no house number on it or board at the property. And still trying to charge me £1400. A complete and utter shambles! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!”
“They are dishonest, don’t take care about clients. I am now have problems with my property because of their neglecting. Last year in may The gas inspector came to check the hob and the boiler, and he found problem with the hob and he was about to fix it, we waited more than 3 hours just to give their permission to fix it but they ignore us and the hob wasn’t working for 2 weeks after I did a dozens of calls and emails, ( after I spent fortunt for delivery food). About the boiler the inspector said it has very high pressure and he put sticker said (danger don’t use) in the same day that he came, even after I sent many many emails and thousands of calls that the boiler doesn’t work properly they didn’t do anything about it. Since last Thursday the boiler has been stopped and I don’t have warm water or even heating system in this cold. I have many serous medical conditions and three kids I one of them is toddler. We are sleeping in the same bed to warm each other but it’s very cold, they are crying complaining about this situation. I am using the kettle in the bathroom to give them a bath. “They never respond to my neighbor who is a single mother with three kids and paying over £1000 a month for 2 bedrooms flat in Glasgow Harbour, her boiler and heating system are broken in this winter for months and they never replied to her emails nor answer the phone calls , definitely I’m frustrated and would like to warn people to not get any property through them , they will never look after you or answer your call when you have any issue with essential needs like heating , boiler and hob like what happened and I witnessed with my neighbor”
“I am a Portofolio Landlord and was interested in a property in Eynsham Oxford. I could not get my questions answered on line. Phoned a number on the website with Purple Bricks, a lady gave me a mobile number to a gentleman who was the local agent for the property. I called the number and left a message, he promised to call me back. It was last week. I have still not heard from him. The seller has missed out on a potential sale. Its hard to trust on line Estate Agents as no communication is possible with them.”
“Booked a valuation appointment online. Agent never turned up or even phoned to say he couldn’t make it. Wrote to complaints department to let them know and didn’t even have the decency to reply. Will take my business elsewhere.”
“I am renting a flat in Birkenhead and Burplepricks were the managing agents. They never answer their phone claiming that they are closed for staff training, since well before Christmas, instructing me to report a fault via their web site.
My landlord has cancelled his contract with them and instructed me to cancel my direct debit with them and rearrange with another agent

Of course, its not possible to reply to these emails nor do they answer their phone. No wonder they need such lengthy staff training sessions .

I was Spammed with 50 automated emails about a property I put an offer in but when the house had sold I was not informed of this small detail and my offer is still left as pending.
At the viewing they said they had a problem with the booking system. they allowed easily over 200 people to view the house at the same time during a pandemic. Kate Thompson The “local property expert” which is laughable because she couldn’t answer any basic questions and has still yet to answer her phone after weeks. She is only capable for opening the door for crowds of people to crash round the property in every direction.”
“24 weeks after we made an offer on a house and we are not even close to exchanging, their solicitors sent a contract with the WRONG purchase price and cannot be contacted for months on end every time. We keep being promised that the solicitor has been made aware of our complaints but nothing ever happens, we are ready, the sellers are ready to move and the solicitors used by Purple Bricks have a different excuse every day for not being in the office. Still waiting on them to pass on our enquiries to the seller since November, how long does it take to send an email?! 24 weeks according to purple bricks who answered my complaint saying that we were being impatient and that it is normal for a sale to take 16 weeks...at 24 weeks they are still not taking us seriously. Avoid this company like the plague they are ruining my life”
“If you are selling or buying a Property in the Uk, dont use this most unproffessional Company.They do nothing ,suggest you use PPL solicitors who are a farce excuse for solicitors ..My pathetic buyer who wasted the last 5 months of my life used these to sell his home. Purplebricks made him use PPl property lawyers for the legal work.Well after months they dont even know there seller has broken the chain, lied to everyone not even kept in contact with purple bricks.
They still show the home sold subject to contract..They dont keep a eye on the sitution and partly to blame for not keeping a eye like most good Estate agents do, everything has fallen apart and there fool customer has not even told them he has pulled out .Again shows how unproffesional they are as orginal compleion was last year .”

We had to get our money back via the ombudsmen and the house sold via a traditional estate agent. Purple Bricks customer services were unhelpful, rude, and quite happy to carry on with the lie. A GDPR request revealed the truth. Do better.”
“They put in 100% to get you signed up with a great pitch then put in minimum effort to get your house sold. Some days you just can't reach them because they're busy signing other people up. I was listed with them for months and had barely any viewings. I had to go to a real agent in the end to get my house sold. The High Street agent organised lots of viewings and worked hard for their fees unlike these people.
Waste of time, waste of money, avoid! They're cheap for a reason, a total scam.”
