The modern and innovative answer to an estate agents, we’re the revolution that the property market needed. Here at Purplebricks, we’re still ‘proper’ estate agents, we just do things a little differently to benefit our customers. We work longer, more flexible hours, we don’t charge commission and we let you take control as much or as little as you want. Our customers can’t get enough of this new way of selling, buying and renting property and praise the way we work after battling with the cons of traditional estate agents for too long. We know the world of property can be stressful, so all we’ve done is made it simple with great customer service and digital access to all the details and paperwork you need, 24 hours a day. Don’t just take our word for it as thousands of people each month leaving purplebricks reviews can’t be wrong. I would never use this company to either buy or sell a property. I tried to buy a property in West Oxfordshire. I put in an offer which was acknowledged by email but was not told whether it was accepted by the vendor. 'Normal' estate agents will usually send out a letter with the offer. I tried to chase up by email but was sent a stock letter asking whether I wanted to sell my property! The person I had to deal with for this area was very 'cocky' and was not interested in discussing the sale. Best to avoid this company at all costs. Yes, its cheap, but the service is poor.

A truly awful company, I would advise anyone who has had a bad experience with Purplebricks to make a complaint and then proceed to take this to the property ombudsman. I felt comfortable with Purplebricks based on their Trustpilot review, but I now learn their review score is so high on that site as they just delete any bad reviews

We didn’t use Purple Bricks but our seller did and we feel compelled to write a review. Whereas we received exemplary service from our estate agent, PB left a lot to be desired, in particular the case handler Keiron who was rude, arrogant and unprofessional. He ignored our request for information, then replied sarcastically when he finally responded. He told us the seller was going to pull out of the sale but the seller assured us they weren’t and was quite angry it had been suggested. There were no updates and communication was poor, forcing us all to correspond directly with each other instead and putting the onus on us to keep our seller informed. When our seller tried to contact him with urgency several times his phone went through to voicemail and he was uncontactable. Based on our and our sellers experience we would never use PB and would recommend anyone not to.

I wrote a review on Trust Pilot of the bad experience I received trying to book a viewing using Purple bricks. They have made me edit my review 5 times now. They will flag anything they can to keep a bad review hidden. Mine was initially flagged as I named the agent who gave me poor service yet that name seems fine on the 5 star reviews. In short you cannot trust these guys.

Lots of reviews on house sales here but very few on Lettings. Let’s cut to the chase, avoid at all costs! Relocated to Singapore and let our property - PBs all online approach sounded perfect for us in a different time zone. In two years of our tenancy we were never introduced to a property manager (clearly they don’t actually employ them) so every little thing was whatsapped to me by tenant as there was no other way. Wound up switching agents mid covid, over an 8 hour time difference. What a mission. A few months since the switch Pb still dragging their heels and haven’t returned all the money they owe us. Unbelievable. So if you’re thinking of letting with them, save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere!

Recently sold house using purple bricks, was persuaded to use solicitor they recommended and they gave quote of charge this would be,the simplest of sale took nearly 5 months, only happened because my husband chased chased & chased, solicitors PM property lawyers were dreadful at communication, really dragged their feet and got things wrong then when sale completed they charged £440 more than the quote,no explanation or breakdown of bill, these were solicitors persuaded to use rather than local one.we live in Grantham Lincs, wouldn't recommend purple bricks or these solicitors, disgusted!

Martyn Robson - Stockton on Tees Mistake within property description (incorrect date for open day) resulted in mass confusion and in turn had a terrible adverse effect on my properties introduction to the market. Problem was dealt with terribly, passed from pillar to post to different people to the point where i left Purple Bricks and advertised elsewhere, even when explaining my reasons for this (as above) - There was zero ownership for the terrible service and still hounded me for the £1000 fee. Martyn took zero ownership for his mistake, ignored texts, ignored phone calls and I am now faced with a fee i am going to have to pay purely to avoid further action. Terrible company, terrible staff. Couldn't advise against the use of PB any more.

In a word dreadful - as follows: * Messed up an offer by turning it down out of hand without contacting us. * Local employees went "missing" contacted by main office did I know where they were? * Original PB employee handed over to another as my contact. She never bothered to call at the house to familiarise herself with the property. * No vetting of viewers and we had some rather unsavoury characters poking around (quite literally) a distinct disadvantage using an online estate agent like PB. Far too many sightseers and not enough serious buyers is a related point. * We felt that our interests were always secondary to the prospective purchasers *Once the fee was paid up front then we lost any advantage over PB we might have had. * The original draft of the particulars was strewn with spelling errors and it was a battle to proof read to ensure a good copy was produced. Reading other PB house particulars this seems common but is not confined to PB alone of course) * Computer base for bookings would occasionally malfunction. *Inflexible computer system if someone was marked as no show and they turned up late there was no way of rectifying this. * We took the property off the market for a marketing break and when we put it on again no contact from the local PB employees to check on us at all. * The feedback system is horrendous and again inflexible eg does not take into account a reduced price in the cumulative totals. So all in all we lost money as we have taken our property off the market and now with the pandemic have decided that when we put the property back on the market we will use a local estate agent.

I am annoyed that I even had to give one star for this review!! Purplebricks told me they would have our property on the market by 6pm the day we signed up. I had to amend room descriptions on advert they were that basic and missed out vital, key points. I had to delete their photos and add my own, basically did everything for them. They even got the sale price wrong!!! We sold our house on the first viewing but couldn't get in touch with them to ask advise on how to handle viewings we'd still got booked in to the point where potential buyers were turning up to view house when it was sold!!! What a shambles. No communication or support. Not an estate agents at all. Do not use Purplebricks...please use a proper estate agent. It's a stressful experience with Purplebricks as they just don't care.

Purple Bricks waste of money. No floorplan , had to wait weeks for energy survey. They do not vett anyone who visits your home they let anyone come for a day out. They overprice your property. Pictures are very poor. Go directly to your local estate agents have them all around and pick the one you are most comfortable with. Sold my home with local estate agents in two weeks after purple bricks had it on the market for 9 months!

We found that our 'property expert' was very proactive until we paid for the service. We had a few viewings to begin with but then very little. We didn't find the 'property expert' to be at all proactive in working out what needed to change, or find interested viewers. The property was valued too high and we chose to lower it. We then used another agency to help sell it and they were able to get plenty of viewings in and we sold the flat through Hunters. We raised our disappointment with Purplebricks but our complaint wasn't upheld. The selling point of it being cheaper than a high street agency only works if they are able to sell your property, which Purplebricks were unable to do. I wouldn't recommend Purplebricks unfortunately.

Lack of professionalism. Stay away! I've made an offer which according to the agent had been accepted (congratulations bla bla bla). I've started all the process, hired a solicitor, completed the mortgage application etc. A couple of days later, the vendor contacted me directly and said he had accepted another offer and that mine had never been accepted, no word from the agent. Total incompetence and waste of time.

Have been ignoring me for weeks now. Totally let down by their lack of managing my property and customer service. Have referred my case to the property ombudsman and am now considering legal advice. Rude, unprofessional and totally let down by the whole experience. Even senior managers are ignoring me despite my complaint escalating.

We have worst experience from the purple bricks yesterday at Wythenshawe. They have handed over us a not ready flat to stay. While doing the viewing letting agent Tasha agreed to do all the rectification works prior to moving in. But she has not done any action to carryout the rectification. After that while we call her she is not even picking our calls. When we try to call purple brick office they are also not ready to help us. They are asking us to call the letting agent to clear the issue and we made several calls to her and all were unsuccussful. Is this the service PURPLEBRICKS providing to the customers after receiving all payments?

The sales agents are great, but they will recommend the worse solicitors. 5 months later, second solicitor and now their solicitor has disappeared off the face off the earth. PM property Conveyancing are shocking and purple bricks will not take ownership of this. Absolutely fuming and ready to pull the plug

Theft of items from home by the viewings rep Neta Brooks which operates in the Tipton area. I had intrusted this rep with my home and its contents yet stole my Ray Ban sunglasses and wireless headphones as well as dented my hob as a resentment for my telling her off for bringing in prospective buyers without prior booking as I was working on kitchen splashback. Head office wanted a proof for the theft --- seriously????? Overall its truly a waste of money as I should have advertised on zoopla for free and elsewhere for Pennies--all purple bricks does is collect a lot off money from both--the seller and the conveillenving solicitors--TAKE IT FROM ME, THE VICTIM
