“Very good stock levels. Excellent deliveries. Impressive range. Top quality products, mostly. (School based heavy user). Truly appalling Search facilities, and has been for years: lots of false positives and irrelevant material which wastes time and frustrates. One can spend hours looking for an item which one knows is stocked...but finding it? Non-starter. Hence 3/5. It desperately needs an intelligent search engine. Suggest getting Google to organise it for Rapid.”

“Questions on product specifications and carriage charges poor never did get an answer on carriage charges ended up paying carriage when if I had spent another £1 there would have been no charge. Except for this the delivery and product was good recommend supply but have your questions answered before ordering.”

“Despite taking every opportunity to decline marketing emails Rapid still sent me a request to comment on their performance on this site. It seems that communication with Rapid is a one way thing! I've rated them as normal because few companies take any notice of your requests. Most treat you as a resource to be exploited!”

“I had to change the delivery address for my order which was not easy to do as the addressing form was quite 'rigid' in what it allowed me to do. I also phoned with an enquiry about the number of goods per unit as priced and the person that dealt with me was far from helpful as it was a woman making the enquiry. once i had managed to make him actually LISTEN to what i was trying to determine he conceded that it was not very clear - was the item i was looking at in multiple quantities or singular - he was helpful to a point. What should have been a 'rapid' order actually took me the best part of an hour.”

“The centrifuge is the cheapest on the market by a long way. The quality control leaves some thing to be desired, the head that sits on the top was out of square and the top bearing was sloppy. I have not returned the item because I have re bushed the parts . The most important thing is the fit of the tubes on their holder ring the large diameter of the tube is a good fit on the ring but this only leaves some moulding flash on the top edge to retain the tubes. This is a potentially very dangerous situation if one of the tubes flies out it could cause serious damage .I am telling you all this to help you. I am a retired engineer and can sort these things out myself. I think that the supplier needs to be informed so they can take the necessary action. Yours sincerely Tom Green Ps the easiest fix is to modify the tubes.”

“Who ever set up the parametric search for lead acid batteries doesn’t understand capacity, they can’t shift the decimal point so the order is 2.2 Ah, 2300 mAh, 2.5 Ah. The capacity of some batteries (Yuasa Yucel) is 12V! There is (apparently) a difference between 12V and 12 V when selecting the voltage. Shame about the carried they use, UKMail. I ordered 2 batteries on Tuesday and they were dispatched the same day, messed around all day Wednesday so I didn’t miss the delivery, phoned UKMail after 18:00 and was assured the goods would be delivered even if it was in the evening - they weren’t. Thursday morning ‘phoned UKMail’s customer services, they didn’t know if the goods would be delivered Thursday or maybe Friday afternoon or evening. Rapid may have been cheaper for the batteries I wanted, but the price difference doesn’t make up for days hanging around waiting for delivery.”

“Easy to order but one of the items was broken on arrival. Since the price was minimal we decided not to return it for replacement but perhaps more attention required in packing the items.”

“Unfortunately I was sent the wrong item but correctly labelled? The goods sent wrongly have been left with me but what I can do with them ??????? At least the correct item was sent through when I informed them of the error, and quickly without any hassle.”
