I ordered a new Magna Switch Unit, Heating Elements, and Solder Bits for my TCP Iron. On receipt I find that the new Solder Bits do not fit the Heating Element just received nor does the Barrel I have. On querying this, I find that Weller have changed the diameter of the Heating Element, but there is no mention of this in any of the details for the products. I am then informed that the only way round this is to order a new Barrel and New Solder Bits to Fit. This now makes what was an expensive repair, even more expensive; particularly as I am having to pay twice for the Solder Bits. I have decided that in the long run it is going to be cheaper to just buy cheap soldering irons instead of trying to maintain a very expensive system, and scrap the Weller altogether. Just a pity that no one at that end processing the Order picked up on the fact that the bits ordered would not fit the other parts ordered at the same time, namely the Heating Element. Obviously the staff processing these orders have no Product Knowledge. To them they are just code numbers.

I used this company a lot for leds and other bits and pieces they missed part of my order (only a pack of leds) so i rang customer services and was told they would send out another pack never turned up

I still have not received the goods i ordered and this is the second time this has happened. A third time will not occur!

Excellent and fast service. Have used them many times, and orders arrive next day and are well packaged. Easy to contact, and prompt to resolve any issues with no quibbles. Great services - only wish more companies were like them!

PH tester arrived with the electrode surrounded by crystals instead of storage liquid. Presumably the crystals were dried storage liquid. I read that the electrodes only last 2 years and must be kept wet in the correct solution, so it looks as if this PH meter may have been on the shelf for too long and had its life reduced by drying out. I emailed Rapid Electronics asking for an explanation but 11 days have passed and no reply received - shoddy.

Having investigated this missing email, we found that you had emailed Conrad who had then forwarded the message to us. Our Technical Department did reply to this message but it would appear that you did not receive this. The original reply is below: "Thanks for the enquiry. The units themselves all appear to be of this nature the crystals that have formed are due to the liquid that is used when the probes are manufacture, this is just to make sure the units are kept in good order before using and the crystals can simply be wiped away and the unit used as normal. iTs now 10 day and i still have not received my order i rang up to ask for my order and i was told they cannot do anything they can only look into the matter after 10 days for a small order its takes that long to sort it out . i had to go some whereelse and get my order as i'm still waiting for rapid to sort it out i ordered some from hong kong and got them before rapid

when purchasing goods you dont expect to get unwanted e mails...this is BAD advertising as it scares off repeat buyers We live in a world of ever increasing junk mail e mails texts etc .these have a negative effect . wake up to the real world!

Product still not received after receiving an email 8 days ago saying it had been despatched. I emailed them 2 days ago and have still not heard anything back from them. They have taken my money and I have not received the product. Very poor service!!

I purchased a Infra-Red dimmer light switch with remote control. The description states it will control up to 4 different light circuits. Perfect for what I require. When I received the product, the light switch only controls one circuit. The remote, controls up to four circuits so therefore you need to purchase another three light switches if you want the controller to control all four circuits. As I had already laid the electrical circuits it was not possible to add another three dimmer switches for this to operate as stated. The description should show a master switch with remote and then additional dimmer switches (as slaves sold separately).

The wrong shape of Weller soldering iron tips were delivered. Their returns form did not cover the possibility of them making an error, they seem to assume that the customer is always at fault. It is now five working days since they were notified of the problem by email. I was given a Case Ref. Number 12472 but I am still waiting for any further action.

Failed to deliver on time, in turn jeopardising project. Package was handled by a lesser known courier. Delayed in transit with no further explanation. I can never use Rapid Electronics if i need next day delivery is the lesson learned. We'll stick with CPC for those It strikes me odd that your brand is named 'Rapid' and you cannot deliver a next day package.

Order dispatched , damaged by Rapids courier . I was informed by this by Rapid . Package sent back to rapid . A week later still no delivery but new invoice said only part of my original order had been dispatched . 3rd call to rapid confirmed this but was told " as a gesture of good will" I would not be charged for their error . After 10 days order arrived in box with virtually no packing unlike CPC . Metal cabinet delivered not unsurprisingly with bent side . I will re-order from CPC

Given that the order was placed over a week ago and said to have been sent to me on the 22nd Nov and still no sign of the items, what more feedback than very poor would you expect !

Wrong item sent - lump clay as opposed to a digital camera. Promising response from Luke in customer services, fingers crossed rectified quickly.
