“Very pleased with the service and appreciate that not all items are always in stock and that will cause a delay. However, it would be appreciated if an estimated date of delivery could be given on the advice note - I found the details by visiting the web site.”

“85-0901 Desolder Iron/sucker. powerful and easy to use. very good value, I wish it had been available 30 years ago. Best be quick otherwise you can burn the board. I needed to use a small flat screwdriver as a wedge to demount the cylinder for cleaning. 86-3364 Flourescent magnifier table lamp. Easy to use, the lens gives a clear image,and the lamp gives a nice daylight light.It is good value and clearly not a toy! All the small components arrived in bags , I liked the the labels because they adequately described the contents and were traceable to the order.”

“Rapid is one of the places I go to first when ordering electronic components. The other places I use are Farnell & CPC (same company different websites!) and sometimes RS Components. Rapid stock is always competitively priced. Service and delivery are excellent. The only thing that lets them down is the website search facility. e.g. It's difficult to find say an LED with a specific current draw etc. It could be vastly improved by adding some sort of parametric search like RS and Farnell have. Other than that no complaints whatsoever.”

“I have used Rapid for many orders and the whole process from ordering to delivery was fast and efficient. Its just a shame really that the product range is so large and the category listing make it a bit hard to find items. It is easier once you know where the items are from previous orders.”

“Good supplier. I will use them again. My only suggestion for improvement would be with the tracking of parcels once they have been dispatched. UK Mail tracking leaves a lot of room for improvement”

“Products & service are all great, just let down by Rapid's choice of carrier. You can expect "next day" deliveries to take several days, packages left on doorsteps (not necessarily yours!) is commonplace. Calls to the carrier usually take 10+ minutes to be answered & there is seldom any satisfactory answer, because of this we only order non-urgent items from Rapid, anything that we need within 2 days is ordered elsewhere.”

“Used Rapid for several years and not had any problems until last order. Ordered several items one of which was 100 Diodes, order ack said there were 298 in stock. Order arrived next day but only 18 were delivered. Telephoned same day and was told that there had been a picking error and the remaining 82 had been sent out. Not received after 4 days so phoned again. This time I was told there had been a stock shortage, they had not been sent as I was told, but they have been dispatched that day. Gentleman on the phone didnt seem too concerned. Additional Comment: I have still not received the missing diodes, rang again and they still hadnt been despatched!! Promised it would be that day, checked again following day - still not despatched!! In addition, on the same order I ordered 170 SMD LEDs - they came on a tape but when I came to use them 120 of the locations on the tape were empty!! Obviously they sent the leader from the Reel and not checked the actual quantity on the tape. I have to say that Shane who handled the subsequent phone calls was very helpful and apologetic unlike the first operative I spoke to. The LEDs arrived the next day but still waiting for the Diodes. Final Comment: Rang yet again to find Diodes still not been despatched! Spoke to Jodie who promised to chase it up which she did and rang me back later to confirm they had been sent. They arrived next day. Although Rapids performance was diabolical on this occasion it is the first time I have had problems so I will continue to use them for now and see how they perform in the future.”
