“Marked improvement. Definitely worth the coin. I was fine with the old carafe much like I was fine with wearing glasses. Then I got lasik. This new carafe is the lasik of coffee pots.”

“There should be a handle on the ceramic part that holds the filter and coffee if you want to take it off before it finishes dripping. The craft is not keep the coffee, very hot, it does not seal completely with the stopper. It’s difficult to pour the coffee.”

“Unit functioned normally for 7 years, then stopped working. 7 years is not a good lifespan for coffee maker in my opinion.”

“Immediately after attempting to clean my Ratio 8 with Halefresh, the coffee maker stopped working. I have sent it to Portland to get fixed.”

“The ultimate 'Form Meet Function' coffee brewing company. I've tinkered with the pour-over Ratio 8, and the heat holding Ratio 6 - and have enjoyed outstanding coffee from each! I much appreciate the ability to make a coffee by which hot water doesn't touch plastic on the way from beans to lips - the 8 is perfect for such a task. It is hard to find coffee machinery that is not plasticized, and even harder to find Made in USA options. Bravo Ratio!”

“Hi Mark, Just wanted to leave a short note on the notNeutral coffee mug. Absolutely LOVE it, everything from the design, color, and heat retention for the coffee. The only disappointment was it developed a heat-related hairline crack in the first couple uses. Not sure if you have heard of any other cases, but just passing it along for what it’s worth. I’m still able to use the mug, but it leaves a ‘liquid ring’ wherever I set it:) As a side note: I’ve been extremely pleased with the Ratio Six! Recently upgraded to the Eight thermal carafe and that makes for a wonderful combo. Thanks for producing a high quality product! Daryn Martin”

“I absolutely love my Ratio 6....it is easy to use, easy to clean, and makes superb coffee. I use the Baratza Virtuoso grinder set at 20 and the coffee is heavenly whether hot or cold. Highly recommended”

“This brewer is rather impressive. I had initially low expectations, but walked away delightfully surprised after a month of daily use. The water heats up instantly. And it's hot-hot, making for great extraction. I had some issues with the shower head nodes. Water came out of mostly a few holes, but occassionally had water burst through all holes. The resulting brew beds time and time again were nice and even despite the fact, which is part of what surprised me. The brews, once dialed, were great extractions, with normal tds readings. The constant coffee I used was a natural kenyan, which was super juicy. I had some bother with the many pieces to the brewer, but I understand the whys behind them. I just wonder if it could be done with fewer parts. The decanter I wasn't particularly a fan of either. It's difficult to pour out all the liquid from, and the lid doesn't make for an easy-flowing experience. I do greatly appreciate the heat shield. Overall, I'm very impressed with the product and highly recommend it! Nice job Ratio!”
