Upon having been lied to by Repaircare I have found this page, wish I’d looked a bit better first. As all the others on here the company’s business model is a scam designed for them to pick and choose which jobs they take, when they find out it costs more than the fixed fee they pretend the part is no longer available so appliance is unrepairable! They take the money, sit on it for weeks gaining interest. If I could give zero or negative stars I would.

Disgrace. Awful company. Took down wrong post code even though i called immediately to rectify. Then cancelled appointment due to wrong post code. Then cancelled again due to part not arriving. Then can cancelled again due to customer service agent not confirming my appointmen even though i have mobile records proving i called to confirm. I have been waiting over 1 month for a repair. USELESS COMPANY WITH INCOMPETANT STAFF AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

The engineer 'missed' two problems with my double-oven cooker; said it needed a new fan & he would order it that day on his return to their office. He did neither and their pen-pushers in the office still wont tell me when the part is likely to be received or when i can expect a return visit. If I dont here back by the end of Thursday working time end. I will lodge a dispute claim with my debit card that was charged.

Avoid at all cost, just trust the experiences of other people!! Repair Care treated me, their customer, as a joke. Their engineer came last friday to confirm the problem with our fridge freezer and today because I called them and insisted to find out what is going on I was served lies and disrespect. I had to contact their contractor to find out what is happening with the piece they had to order, I spoke with everybody because nobody is giving a straight answer, a reason, nobody even kept in touch with me during this time. To find out at the end of it that the piece is over their repair limit so they will charge me the call out fee. The piece is not over their repair limit, i confirmed the price of the piece with Panasonic and the only reason I chose Repair care is because Panasonic recommended and said they are giving the pieces only to them in my area. So I am stuck with a 6 years old expensive fridge freezer that could be repaired by replacing the pcb but simply won't. Avoid at all cost this company, they don't give a penny on their customers, they washed their hands on the whole process saying the contractor should have kept in touch, should have checked the piece, should have ordered the piece. I paid them!!!, not their contractor. I don't want a reply, all I wanted was this to be repaired, honesty and good customer service. It took 3 days for them to find out the piece number, I found it out in one minute speaking with Panasonic..it's just a joke...just give me my money back and leave me!

Terrible company to deal with. Have had to repeatedly chase for the follow-on visit to repair the fridge. Two weeks and counting... Save your money and avoid

Booked a fixed price repair for a cooker oven. I was very clear about one of the potential reasons for the fault. The repair was accepted and an engineer arrived as planned. The actual fault was different to what I had suspected and the engineer requested the replacement parts. repaircare.co.uk refused to approve the repair and cancelled the job (without informing us, I had to chase them after hearing nothing for 3 weeks) - the reason given, they don't cover the fault that I listed in my request. They have refunded part of what I paid - they should have refunded the full amount. Firstly, they shouldn't have accepted the job in the first place; secondly they do actually cover the fault as described by the engineer and so they shouldn't have cancelled it. The cooker has now been repaired by another more reliable and honest company.

Absolutely shocking. Terrible service. Scam.took money upfront on 11.12.2019. for repair. Repair still not done. I got told twice the part was on order and they were waiting for it to be delivered. I then found the needed part online with next day delivery! Called them back to tell them this. Since then 2 engineer visits have been cancelled by the engineer company. Still no repairs one. 1 month later

They took money out of my account. They changed the date of repair. I had to cancel the appointment. I phoned them to ask them for my money back which cost me a lot of money. They said it will take 3 days but it is now a week and I have not had my money back

shocking company, paid for an arranged for a engineer to come out and fix a oven, only for the job to be cancelled via a very muffled voice mail at 5pm the day before! and I've had to chase the refund that has taken over three weeks to be paid back! DO NOT TOUCH THESE CLOWNS! total bunch of Muppets, would not be surprised to see these on watchdog!

The worst company and experience one can deal with, the steal your money and never deliver - stay well away if you want your time and money not be stolen from you.

I don't know where to begin if it's with the cancellation of an appointment due to someone at repaircare not having taken down the letter corresponding to our flat or the lies I've been told, or having been made to hold for 20 minutes to then have the phone picked up and put straight back down. One thing is clear: i won't be using repair care again and to have messed around a where family with two kids who really really needed help with their washing machine as the mountain of washing just kept growing is just unbelievable.

Terrible experience. We booked three fixed-fee appliance repairs with repair care - a microwave, an oven and a freezer, for about £550 total. When Repair Care realised that the jobs would cost more than the fixed fee, they cancelled them all. 1. They cancelled the microwave repair after a week as they didn't have an engineer in London who could do it. Annoying, but fair enough. 2. They sent an engineer to look at the oven. He couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, so said he would come back with a colleague. They then cancelled the job (without telling us) and held our money for four weeks, until we called to complain and get it back. 3. They diagnosed a problem with the freezer (faulty gas pipes) and said they would come back to repair it. When they came back, they had a new door seal (?) but couldn't repair the gas, as it is a two person job. They later canceled the job when they realized that it was going to cost more than the fixed fee we had paid. It has now been more than three months since we first booked with Repair Care, and we still have a broken microwave, oven and freezer. This company will charge you a large fixed fee for your repairs, and will only actually do the repairs if they are going to be cheap. If it looks like they will be expensive, they simply cancel the job. Time-wasters and scammers.

Dont touch them. Unfortunately they are used by Hoover when an appliance is still under warranty. My daughter has been without a washing machine for 4weeks awaiting a repair. An appointment was booked for an engineer to look at the machine, he called the day before saying he was in the area so could he call in ,my daughter was in work so she said no and he'd have to come on arranged day....he couldnt fo that because he wasn't in her area that day. He then diagnosed the fault over the phone. She waited over 3 weeks before he actually appeared because he kept wanting to come on the day as he was "in the area", "around the corner" but again as she was in work she couldnt agree with him. He eventually turned up 3 weeks later with a part but it wasnt what he'd diagnosed was wrong with the machine....it actually needs a new drum. She has no idea when the problem will be fixed as she hasn't heard from anyone since. She has rang him , left messages on his phone but no contact has been made. I have made a complaint to Hoover on her behalf about Repair Care. They are a complete joke, unreliable ,their customer service is non existent.

Avoid like the plague. Three engineer visits for a 1.5 year old dishwasher not heating water. First engineer diagnosed problem as heating element. Second engineer fitted a new wash pump (allegedly a special Zanussi special order part) 28 days later . Third engineer phones to say Repaircare have sent him the same part again (heating element). Three days of your time, several phone calls and letters will get you nowhere. Repaircare simply ignore customers, provide shoddy and unethical service. Please please avoid if your value your time.

Do not use this company! I have been in contact with them 5 times-. The first time to make the initial booking, call responded to quickly, booking made and £119 paid. It goes drastically down hill after that. Engineer turned up as planned, did not seem to know much about the fault, replaced pump but did not stay to check fault was repaired. 10 minutes after him leaving it was clear it wasn’t repaired and same fault code appeared on machine. Then the real hassle begins! 4 calls later (each time you have to wait 30 mins for the call to be answered!) still not managed to have my complaint resolved and refund made. They will only refund if you agree to another engineer visit but they can’t tell you when that will be! I was told on Friday last week that there was no one available to take complaints and that it would be logged and someone would call me back on Monday. Monday and most of Tuesday came and went with no call. Today I decided on a different tactic and called their initial booking line and guess what all was answered in 3 minutes!!!! Call me cynical but it seems this company are happy to take your money and lull you into a false feeling of security that all is well. On making a fuss and insisting that the operator put me through to someone I eventually spoke with a complaints handler. I had to threaten that I would continue to repeatedly phone the booking no until I got the response. So at last you think you might be getting somewhere! Alas No! The complaints handler still refuses my request for a refund insisting that they only pay refunds unless an engineer revisits! I have no spare time and no desire to lose another days work to wait for this to happen so stalemate! I’ve now given up! I will try to retrieve my money by going directly to the bank to see if they can do anything to refund my money.

Do not use this company. Been trying since July (it's now November) for a refund as the repair to my washing machine would have cost a lot more than the £139.00 I had paid and they declined the repair. Fair enough. But, to date, after numerous calls to them, at premium rates, I still haven't received my refund. Today I was told to forward copies of my Credit Card Statement to them to prove I hadn't received my refund. Worst company I've had the misfortune to use. Beware.

It’s a premium phone number and you will be hanging on for at least 30 minutes. Try this twice and it will cost you in excess of£20. A 2 minute call is £1.67. Terrible terrible service, don’t waste your life dealing with this company

Fridge Lamona freezing below zero degrees, company recommended Repaircare. No chance having read comments and I notice when clicking 'helpful' the vote gets deleted. Looks a very dodgy Repaircare!
