Pathetic customer service. Only bots to help you. My account was closed for no reason (it was in credit and I had to fight to get my funds returned) . Could not get any explanation

If I could give Revolut minus 5 stars I would. Tried to authorise a payment in the App. Very simple on other bank accounts - Nat West/ Halifax etc. Could not find a means to do it. Contacted Help - customer service. They were completely and utterly stupid. Kept saying payment had been authorised, that it was a 'ghost payment' and on and on. In the end I asked them to prove it to me. They couldn't. That's how daft they are. I liked Revolut up till this point as a convenient alternative but their customer service operatives have got to be the dimmest people on the planet.

Have spent the last week warning everybody I have come in contact with to exercise extreme caution with Revolut. Having discovered the app through my children, took to it like a duck to water. However 3 months later when funds were queried, and Irish Tax clearance supplied with invoices and requests for my parents wills and when supplied, requests for their death certs and when supplied, the probate certificate, again supplied, I had the audacity to ask for the full name and job title of Nick and Harry who had been supplied with all this rather personal information, I was informed that they are not obliged to supply their names or employment information and that my account was closed without giving a reason. They rather kindly told me that I could lodge a formal complaint through email, if I so wished. So glad that I screenshot all and will forward to the financial regulators in the not too distant future. Having read some of the nightmares experienced by other brave souls, I know how lucky I am to have got my money out of revolut and back to my own real account in time. Please dont bother posting one of your rather insincere generic responses. They are actually a bit embarrassing at this stage.

I accidentally sent money to a closed Revolut account. The receiver never gets the money due to that. Neither did I. The bank did not send the money back to me. Even though I am a Revolut customer, no one in support can say what to do. I submitted the request to return the money. But they ignore it. This bank steals customers' money. Never use it!!!

Without a doubt the worst online support team I've had the misfortune to deal with. I gave up and closed my account before I even used it as if their support staff are this incompetent who knows what else is going on

Bad experience with this company they blocked my account without any specific reason and also they didn't tell me why they blocked my account, leaving me without money and using my account. They didn't send me any previous communication that they were going to do this. I just wake up one day with my account blocked. Also they send money from my account this morning without my CONSENT. This bank is a SCAM. Don't TRUST the other reviews. Account blocked for 5 days initially, today they told me 10 without explanation. When I ask who give them the consent to send my money or to block my account they talk about regulations of the bank. Do you think is normal to block an account without previous informing a person and sending money without my consent? This is the worst experience I have ever had with a Bank. I highly reccomend to the people to stay far from this bank and if you need more info you can contact me privately.

Revolut Metal plan insurance is a SCAM!!! Stay away and don’t waste your money on it!! You will never receive a conditions you a paying for! It is a pure FRAUD!!! I was purchasing my metal plan for the last 3 years, hoping to be protected by the insurance. When I appeared in the insurance case situation and claimed it, they just ignored me. I did not receive any information about my case for the last 5 weeks! I contacted Revolut customer support and Allianz Global Assistance company many times and got only a re-assurance, but no actions. They just want to make you tired of the endless calls and conversations to give up and let them still your money. I saved all conversations and insurance claim confirmation, so I have a proof of every word I stated here. Use my experience to avoid your own financial losses. Stay away from the SCAM companies and don’t waste your money on it!!

Buggy solution, incapable support staff No way! This app has got to be the buggiest, most unreliable, and annoying Neo-Bank app. There is not a single day that one or the other service isn't down or simply not available or not available on multiple platforms. 1. It is not possible to add new beneficiaries when accessing one's account by browser 2. The Android app is faulty and does not permit to take selfies for verification purposes. Re-starting the device and re-installing the app doesn't work 3. Support section down when accessing via browser 4. Dumbest support team ever. Despite repeating multiple times that accessing the support section via browser isn't possible as it's down, I am urged to contact support via browser - what's the hell is wrong with you? 4. What else? Well, the authentication feature via the app when accessing one's account via web doesn't always work. Sure, there are other ways of authenticating access, yet why is everything buggy? Is that the business model?

I don't have an account or card with Revolut. Never heard of them until today. But I have just had a text message saying my account has been blocked and to click on a link to reopen the account. I'm not an idiot. This is obviously a scam so they can do one!

Just had my virtual card used, my phone was locked and by my bed. Without shadow of doubt it was not though my phone. Revolut deny this is possible but just read their community forum it’s full of the same, I even sent them a screenshot of exactly the same company doing it to someone else 3 months ago. They know there is a major security issue with their system but will not admit it. Use Monzo instead Revolut put their standard reply & never deal with the issue they know they have, just look, the card was a virtual disposable card, basically a card that can only be used once, supposed to be secure, they ask you to open a case for chargeback but the only way to do this is agree your card was compromised, basically agreeing it is your own fault. The card was apparently used and authorised through my phone at 07:08 when I was asleep and the phone next to me, as I say I am 100% sure without shadow of doubt this did not happen. Revolut have a big security issue and flaw and your money is at risk if you decide to use them. It truly is a shame as I liked the app but now reading online this is common and revolut blame the customer.

I've been with them since July 22, then my account was being reviewed few last week. I had some money put in there that I needed to transfer back to sender. Wasn't allowed to move money under review...far enough Then a request for a transfer came j yesterday 13.09.22 which I declined as I didn't do this request and it was alot of money. Spoke to revolut they said its back in my account..only because I declined it. Then today 14.09.22 that same request had been authorised, not by me and i didn't set this up to be done. When I spoke to revolut they couldn't give me any information as under review and then once review done they will let me know more information. I they get it was requested be a payer to be returned. It was done as a transfer without my knowing and took all my money and some wasn't even my money. I asked to dispute this payment and I was told this couldn't be done. I've been left with no money in my account, account being closed and them sending money out of my account to someone else and I never even did this transaction. No help, not wanting to help me or give any information especially as it's my account. I wouldn't advise anyone to go with this account if they transfer money out of your account and tell you no info on what had happened especially when you've not done the transaction.

I have an A1 credit history and have been trying to open and operate an account with Revolut for 2 weeks. Its been awful, shambolic and quite honestly the most ghastly experience of using financial services in my entire 60 odd years. They now have the money that I deposited to fund the account but I'm unable to access any of it and they have thus far refused to refund. I've been passed around at least 6 'chat agents'...who all assure that 'my request has been raised' but with a different team. If the experience of opening an account is anything to judge by then operating an account must require nerves of steel. My advice to anyone considering Revolut would be not to bother

I opened a Revolut account. I thought the whole purpose was to be able to use your money internationally. But when I moved to a different country, I discovered that I could not access my account at all because, of course, my old phone account was no longer usable, and there is no way to really work with a Revolut account except with the phone app. But worse, there was no way to actually communicate with anyone at Revolut. I can contact someone by telephone very easily anywhere in the world with my legitimate banks based in the United States and Japan. Not so with Revolut. I followed their instructions on their online website for identifying myself, sending my photo and passport photo. It's just a ruse. They completely ignored this and made no response whatsoever, including at the same email address I had originally used. In the fine print it says that after THREE attempts to identify yourself going through this photo and passport sending procedure, you can then "chat" (still not actually a call with an identifiable person). Notice that they have no international offices listed or people you can easily call. This is not how a trustworthy financial organization operates. Do not make the mistake I made. Simply use a real bank!

Revolut operatirs are absolute (liars). My account is open and verified since July 1 (62 days ago), and all what they call (due diligence) bla bla bla have been done via camera and legal documents. They never asked any extra layer of verification between 1 July and 25 August. The problem arised when I recieved a 1000 euros incoming wire on 25 Ausgust. They asked for a duplicate of the initial documents and I already provided them. The lady SPOKE TO ME LIVE ON CAMERA AND said "by tommorow" (Friday morning 26 August, your account is re-instated and you can withdraw your funds. As long as the account was opened since July 1st with 10 euros balance , they never froze my assets or de-activated me..All they care about is to hold consumer's monies as long as they can.. The other scammers named (Wise-Transferwise) follow same strategy.. It seems negative feedbacks on Trust Pilot scares them and they reply instantly with (copy/paste) messages which do not reflect the problem. They never answer my emails internally on the revolut platform. Iam asking you to send my funds back to me and close the account, iam not asking you to open/activate my account. You are naturally born liars/thieves. I can smell scammers/thieves from a mile away, and your smell stinks. Under what law, you freeze the small funds of consumers after 63 days of opening the account? Consumers living legally inside Europe. Iam not a refugee you scumbags. The steps any bank follows are the same, whether they are a respectable bank with a physical address or whether they are thieves like you operating a virtual application.. The steps and (due dilligence) are the same. 1) a European ID or residency card. 2) a letter from Municipality stating address/BSN . 3) A small 2 or 10 euros wire transfer from another real bank to confirm name/address and I did those in end of June. PAY ME MY BALANCE YOU THIEVES AND CLOSE THE ACCOUNT, YOU STINK. You should not be allowed to operate in EU. You still carry the mentality of Soviet Union of (tyranny and oppression)/confiscation of properties since you are based in Lithuania.. Nothing changed in your mentality.

A Fraud activity was detected on my Recolut card. My card was terminated. I was asked to complete a charge form to claim the money back that was stolen. I asked why am I doing all this when as your loyal customer you should refund my money instantly as your security wasn’t tight enough. I spent the entire day with them and it was like talking to a wall. Very non interested robot like. I am regretting joining with Revolut. I have lost the trust. Extremely poor service. Shocking response. Don’t care a dam attitude. Only words like oh we understand oh we do want to help etc etc but no one helped. Please do not join up with Revolut. If I receive my money by Monday 5th Sept 2022 I will personally come back here and take it all back. But I highly doubt they will do anything. They have washed their hands off me and now only option I have is to take legal advice

I bought two pints at a pub in Helsinki. One on my RBS card, the other on Revolut, both contactless, both costing €5.50. At the states exchange rate, this is £4.6547... RBS charged £4.65 and Revolut charged £4.66. their rounding on exchange rates is not transparent and is more expensive than a traditional bank.
