I bought a Samsung TV from Richer Sounds, and it has become faulty within 6 months, and they won't replace it. I spoke with Samsung, and they advised that they couldn't repair it, but Richer Sounds won't replace or refund it. I am having to take this to my credit card company, and then small claims court which I shouldn't have the hassle of doing. Terrible customer service, and the last time I will buy from them which is a shame, as I have bought all my TV's from them.

Oppo UDP-203 Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Player: developed several faults just before the end of its 2 year warranty. After a couple of chats with Richer staff, I decided to continue using the player (my choice and something of a gamble on my part) because the problems occurred very rarely. Gradually, the faults became more frequent and severe, eventually rendering the player unusable. This took me into the long period of covid lockdown. I explained everything to the Watford branch manager JP, who said that once the branch reopened I could bring the player in to be looked at. JP assured me that because the player was only just out of warranty, they would sort it out for me and that they wouldn't quibble over such an expensive item that was only a few weeks beyond its warranty period; Free of Charge. Many months later (because of lockdown) I took the player in for analysis and repairs by their own engineers (no 3rd party dodgy outfits here). It turned out that the player had a faulty component(s) and that the entire Logic Board was replaced and successfully tested. A few weeks later everything was fine and I picked up the player. Many thanks to JP who was true to his word, and to his staff for exceptional customer service.

Update to my previous review,Tom from richer sounds has got in contact with me appalgised for the misunderstanding on both sides. All I can saiy is totally professional and very helpful in resolving the hole matter, couldn't do enough to resolve it,even offered to collect it from my house. big thank you to Tom of richer sounds,and I will be back,I have a new respect for the way you felt with me.... Thank you

No problem with Richer Sounds customer service excellent. But if you purchase and LG television or other product fromLG, be warned their customer service is dreadful and would never buy another item from them. Thank goodness Richer Sounds help get our problem solved Thankyou.

I had a Cambridge audio minx subwoofer from you at a cost of £250. and I am aware that the warranty is up,but I phone u as it stopped working,as I wanted it fixed ,and you told me u would phone me back,never happend. That was a year ago,now it's just sat there,that's o.k. I will never shop with u again... Happy to take my money but when the warranty is up,it doesn't matter to u....

my mother who is 89 years of age bought a tv with a six year warranty of richer sounds which is now broke with 18 months warranty left .it is now in for repair. and has just been told they cant get the parts to repair it for maybe months. the only thing they can suggest is for her to by another tv and when her tv is repaired take it back for a refund. she is 89 with not a lot of money RICHER SOUNDS ARE A ABSOLUTE DISGRACE PLEASE DONT NOT BUY FROM THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED THIS WAY

Always reliable, TV broke down over Christmas. We had a spare luckily but if was turned around within a couple of weeks which I thought remarkable considering the time of year. Thanks RS

We purchased our tv in March last year after shopping around. We opted for richer sounds based on a recommendation and due to their extended warranty. From the get go the tv didn’t work well, and would freeze on a regular basis. The only way to get it working again was to unplug at the mains and start again. We tried going through technical support but the problem persisted. Eventually we rang richer sounds and asked them to fix it under our warranty to be told we had to go via the manufacturer who said they’d take it away for a minimum of 7-10 days to repair it during which time we’d have no replacement. We questioned this with richer sounds who said they’d give us a courtesy tv for £200! Eventually and after much deliberation they offered to take our faulty tv as the deposit and gave us a courtesy one. Our tv is a 50” smart tv and they gave us a 32” which quite frankly looked ridiculous, but worse still when we got it home and set it up the smart features didn’t work! We rang immediately to be told they’d never give out a faulty tv and more or less accused us of lying. They also said that after a whole day of using our faulty tv there was nothing wrong with it and we’d made that up too. We told them it didn’t happen every day but might happen five times on some days, but again they were having none of it. The manager on the phone was quite frankly rude and defensive, not remotely sympathetic. We’ve driven a 20 mile round trip twice this weekend and sacrificed time with family. Who would do that if there wasn’t a problem? We’re so disappointed and feel at a loss now, and have been left with the faulty tv after all. Appalling.

I purchased a TV from Richer Sounds end of November in their "Black Friday" sale* for a room which was being decorated in December. Once Xmas was out of the way I opened and set up the new TV for use in early January. The picture was poor as blacks were not displaying and contrast was too low. As such I called Richer Sounds after sales customer help line as was hoping for some technical assistance. I explained the issue to the less than happy customer adviser. I did not receive any technical assistance re picture settings etc. at all and was solely asked to confirm if I was unhappy with the purchase, which I did. I was then told only option would be a 15% restocking fee + paying courier fee (as was purchased online) to return the TV for credit note, not for refund (I actually wanted to exchange for a different TV set). The TV was as new and I still had all of the packaging. Further, and to make matters worse, I stupidly believed the prices in Richer Sounds Black Friday sale* would be the lowest they offer but today I checked the TV on the Richer Sounds website and saw they are selling it for £50 less than they were in the Black Friday sale*. So all in all I bought a TV which was not fit for purpose, then received zero technical assistance and then on trying to return the TV (just over 30 days due Xmas period) was told would be 15% restocking fee plus courier fee. John Lewis would never. AVOID Richer Sounds and shop with John Lewis for a FAR (x 1 million) more pleasant and professional experience. * for 'sale' read 'price increase'

Shopped with Richer Sounds for over 20 years now, each year the service has gotten noticeably worse. In days gone by they were easily the cheapest and offered the best guarantees but many other shops now offer similar packages. What's gone down hill awfully though is the customer experience and the after sales, want to demo a £1,000 TV, no, because they won't open a box, trial a 4k TV with an SD source, no. Find a fault with the tv, spend months emailing customer service who take a week to respond and just ignore all of your comments in the last mail, yes. It's a real shame but Richer have finally turned into their competitors.

Decided to buy new TV. Knew what we wanted and went to local branch to order. Lee very quickly sorted out the order. Few days later advised when TV in store and picked up with help provided taking TV from shop to car. Had problem setting up TV. Dan from shop walked 10 minutes to our house from the shop to assist. Dan helped us out, saved us a lot of time and effort. Didn't leave until all up and working. Exceptional efficient, friendly service much appreciated.

Poor Scanning Sensitivity I recently purchased the Tibo 1435 DAB tuner, my former Denon FM/AM tuner developing faults after 25 year’s service. Whilst the sound quality is good, it is often affected by what seems to be a weak DAB signal in my area and reception is prone to interference even though it receives its signal via a roof-mounted, omni-directional DAB aerial. Even after performing a factory reset the auto scanning system will not pick up BBC national stations or even my local BBC radio station (Stoke). It will, however, pick up BBC stations in Derby, Liverpool, Hereford & Worcester and even BBC Wales. I can only receive BBC national stations, 1,2,3, etc, by means of manual tuning. Furthermore, when eventually manually tuned to a national station it will not store them on any of the nine preset buttons. The unit, of Chinese manufacture, comes with no comprehensive user instructions and one has to resort to a poorly written online booklet. Anyone considering a new tuner should give the Tibo 1435 a wide berth.
