“Took a fee even though my refund from HMRC was £0 and charged me VAT . SAID they had still done the work but my previous employer from 3 years ago had underpaid my tax so from one year there was no refund but they took the fee out of my claim over 3 years so down nearly £330”

Thank you for providing us with feedback and I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy. We charge a fee per tax year we complete and VAT has to be charged as standard. We would have charged a fee if we completed a tax return for you. I can only assume that there was a liability for that year and that is why you did not receive a refund from us. If you are able to contact us then we can provide a further explanation for you.

“A friend of mine recommended RIFT to me and from start to finish RIFT ensured that I updated with important information in a timely and efficient manner. They also took the time to explain areas and documents which I didn't fully understand and made sure I was happy with their work. My point of contact with RIFT was a lady called Hannah Giles and she couldn't have been more polite or helpful, I owe a really big thank you to her.”

“Coudnt be more impressed with how rift handled my rebate, especially andreea. Shes the best!! I thought I was in arrears and she managed to handle the problem very quickly and get my assessment done.. 5 star guys! Very impressed”

“Pending the outcome of my claim, my experience with RIFT has been really positive. All correspondence was swift, professional and to the point. At no point did I feel misinformed. As a suggestion, I would make it clear about the information you need to process a claim. My process would have been alot more efficient if I was told what you needed from day 1, rather than requesting part by part information. A simple request for information form stating all items needed would probably work.”

Hi Stewart, thanks for the great review. Feedback from our customers is invaluable, and we will take this on board. We do try and advise customers at the start of the claim the information we need, however due to the variable nature of many of the claims made this means that the information we require can often differ vastly depending on the client. Nevertheless, thanks for your feedback and 5 star rating and we look forward to speaking to you again next year.

“Although i was happy to receive money that i never knew i was entitled to. I received half the amount of a fellow coworker. And almost ×3 the amount of cash deducted from my claim than his. His £100 deducted over £1200. And mine was £280 over £1000 per year even though my expenses were £4900 compared to his £2900. Although "RIFT" says it is correct i feel there is something wrong here but accepted the offer as they wern't able to change it. Therefor i give 3 stars. If i was considered the same way as my friends deduction i would have gave 5 stars. But thanks anyway i never knew i was due some tax back so you have helped me out. Not sure wheather to try claim on my own next year or use rift but i think i will try on my own first. Thanks again”
