My quote for Saga 3 year fixed home contents insurance was more than double my present insurance.I have yet to checkout my motor insurance.

Tried to make an early payment and was told this was not possible, if I was in arrears , which I'm not , they would have taken my payment

I have had Saga car insurance for a number of years but their quote for 2019/20 was £100 more than another company. It seems that loyalty does not pay.

Just changed to Saga - I use Mailtrack so I can see when my emails are opened. Saga have taken at least 4 days to even open, and of course I then have to hope they respond quickly. Not acceptable to me.

Just changed to Saga. Sent proof of no claims but they are not happy with the Wording from previous company and insist that it is resent. Talk about jobs worth. Taken two weeks as they are very slow to respond. Customer service dreadful.

I had a accident and made a phone call to report the accident. I had a quick phone call the same day from saga asking a few questions, and that was it .My car went in for repair and garage phoned me about outcome, I waited for a while and had no response so I phoned and was asked questions that reply to me. The only time they have been quick in getting in touch is when they want money.

Saga car insurance increases every year even though I've never claimed. Gone up from £230 to £260 this year. Went on a comparison site and got a Saga quote for £204. When they realised, the quote went "VOID", but got lots of cheaper quotes from reputable companies.

I changed Car Insurance but have found it very difficult to receive confirmation of my 9+ years no claims discount for my new company, Churchill. Have contacted Saga on more than one occasion by email.

Just like most other insurance companies really. Great service, support and price while they bring you on board and take your money; then shocking when you have a problem or they owe you money. I firmly believe that few insurance companies deserve our loyalty, and we are better off just accepting it's a one year deal and move on. In my case they gave me a good price/good cover for car insurance on my current lease car. Trouble was that someone bashed my old lease car just a few months before I changed. Whilst it wasn't my fault, there was a typical delay from the third party's insurer and therefore the claim was open when I moved to SAGA for the new car, and underwriting rules are that whilst the claim is open, insurers treat it as your fault. The result was a higher premium than it should have been for the new car. But don't worry, it's ok SAGA tell me, they will reimburse the difference when the claim is closed and proven not my fault. What they didn't say was that two months after the claim closed, lots of emails and calls, and loads of excuses from SAGA, it's all gone quiet at their end. No response, no reimbursement! Now I don't know whether this is just typical of SAGA's car insurance arm, rather than all their services (reading some of the reviews on here, other areas of the company seem fine), but it is certainly making me think that SAGA the brand is not what i expected it to be. I doubt I will get any response or money out of them, so I will just wait until the year's insurance runs out, and then just move on again.

We went on a New Orleans Jazz at Christmas held at the Holiday Inn Kidderminster Road, Bromsgrove, the Jazz was good, the main Public parts of the Hotel were warm, but our room was really cold. The member of staff we approached made it quite apparent that we oldies were a nuisance, and no heater was forthcoming . The next day after a horrible cold night sleeping under my coat, and further complaints we got a heater. The food was dreadful, cold and dreary, even when it was meant to be warm.; There were flies on the food. I dread to think what the kitchens were like. The hotel was surrounded by rat boxes. The appropriate public health Department should be informed It was so bad we left first thing on Boxing day morning even though there was no food at home , anything was preferable to risking food poisoning by eating at the Hotel, Not what we expected of a Saga Holiday.

I have contents insurance with them, and I moved house late August. Remembered at the beginning of October to change address with them. They replied a few weeks later asking some questions, which I replied with the answers. I have heard nothing since. It is now December, and I have just asked for an update for the second time, and my address is still not changed. I will have to cancel if they don't sort it out this time. I presume that although I am paying the premium each month, that I am actually not covered since they have the wrong address.

Overpriced and terrible service. This organisation claims to represent value for the over 50's.. they rarely do!

I got a good deal when taking out my SAGA car insurance policy for the 1st time - but when i changed my car to one in a lower insurance group (16 down to 10) I was quoted an extra £190 for the remaining 11 months cover - almost 50% on top of the cost of the original insurance! When I queried this I was simply told SAGA don't use the usual insurance groups - not at all satisfactory. in addition waiting times to get through to their call centre were too long

What I was quoted on the comparison website (the reason I choose Saga) and what they eventually charged me were a little different - like about 300%! It was too late to de-select so I just put up with it - with a sure and certain promise to myself I would never have dealings with Saga again, ever.

Beware Saga do not tell you in their documentation who provides their windscreen replacement service. You only find out when you phone to make an appointment to have your windscreen replaced and discover that it will be 7 days or more because Saga do not use AutoGlass but instead use Auto Windscreens. The excess is £75 but the delay means that this is a company that is not well resourced. I would not choose Auto Windscreens and I shall not renew with Saga.
