“I received an on-line quote from Saga for home insurance. It seemed good so I telephoned to accept it and paid over the phone. A few days later I found out that Saga had charged me several hundred pounds more than the original quote. I raised a complaint but, two weeks later, no one has bothered to get back to me. In view of this I have cancelled my home insurance and, incidentally, not renewed my travel insurance with them. Extremely disappointed and will not use Saga again.”
“Needed another haircut by the time someone answered phone.
Saga sent me an email saying my documents were enclosed, but after trying for an hour to download invisible documents (note came up saying we did not have any policies with Saga) I gave up.
DD is being taken and I have a policy number but no way of getting documents, so not sure what we are covered for.”
“Waiting ages to talk to someone to discuss a complaint there number is with held so every time you call back you are put on hold and you eventually get though you can’t talk the person that knows about your complaint could not recon saga to anybody”
“I tried to cancel a home contents insurance. I was told there was a 10 minute queue. After holding on for 20 minutes I was finally put through to Travis. He spoke clearly and precisely and after hearing my request said he would put me through to a different dept. He passed me on and I was put into another queue. This time I was told the wait time was 15 minutes. After 20 minutes I gave up. Why was I passed from one queue and then to a second longer queue. I always liked Saga because I could speak to someone. That has changed for the worse. Sorry Saga you have lost my trust.”
“Have been a home insurance customer for four years. Received my renewal today and the premium has increased by 122%!!
Not only that, I waited over 40 minutes for my call to the "support" centre to be answered - this is scandalous. So unprofessional and very disrespectful to customers. When I finally managed to speak to an adviser, the best she could offer me was a reduction of £40 - so that my premium would increase by a mere 109%. Big deal. Extremely disappointed and will not be renewing.”
“Well it’s their new puzzles format. You can’t see it very well and the crossword especially is not good. Most puzzles are the same anyway, done by the same person and American. It’s their new way of doing them and I do not do many online puzzles now. I’m very glad Ivdont subscribe!”
“Cracked windscreen .. mobile company they use are not in my area for 2 weeks and if raining will cancel and make new appointment ..
Visiting Wednesday but forecast is not good ... will probably have to get another company to replace windscreen if they cancel”
“This is Saga car insurance services. Always amazing service. Now sadly not. Took several days of trying to get through n the phone and by chat! Got through by calling at 8.30 am prompt but still took nearly 10 mins to get answered. Something has gone very sadly wrong at this Saga service😔. As for how i communicated; well, as said it took several days.”

“Horrible intimidating home insurance issue, Premium increased by 50%, couldn’t get hold of them on phone to discuss. Sent e mail, no reply. Cancelled direct debit. Saga think it’s then okay for them to start a new policy , with no mandate and charge for it, Having the worst time getting the invoice cancelled as I insured elsewhere. Complaints department didn’t reply in time scale, and they claim they called and i hung up, utter disgraceful treatment for an anxious pensioner, over £89, which I will never pay. emails one reply to, just go to the bottom of the queue, pathetic”
