"Took 5 days to actually speak to someone. On hold for over 1 h 39 mins then gave up each time.This was an admitted 3 party fault. The 3td party had their car repaired and returned before I had any acknowledgement from Saga.\r\n. Still no correspondence ref my access that should be paid thy 3rd party. No return of emails with7 outstanding. Great until you need them."

Insurance website was disappointing, price was not as competitive by the time you actually buy and changing options seems to increase the cost even if you go back to a previous option.

Saga existing claims line unable to be answered; a member of staff eventually takes your number and says"we are extremely busy and we will ring back between 24 -48 hours"! Marvelous service as it will also be anytime between 9 AM and 5PM.

Renewed overpriced home insurance for 2 years on year 3 I found cheaper insurer. Saga billed me for £30.00 saying they gave me extra weeks cover

Try cancelling my old house insurance told will have to get a person to ring me back. Have a new insurance with other companie told the lady i do not need to renew my old one.would not accept my request as the new policy £94.00 cheaper and no administration fee £25.00 that their trying to charge me.still no one has rang me to explain the reason I cannot cancel my renewal policy.

A most unpleasant experience with travel insurance -- they simply don't want to pay out and don't mind implying that the claimant is a fraud. Very poor telephone and email experience. Very slow to respond to anything.

After using them for last 5 years I changed my car.Phoned to cancel policy and get a quote on a new one was shocked at quote.I told person on phone I had checked price comparison website and for the exact same terms even saga itself was asking for £55 less.I was told with a rather arrogant remark to ignore these websites.I didn't ignore them and saved about £100.I'm now 5 weeks down the line and still waiting on a rebate. .

Not satisfied with the insurance co as my accident claim was put in Jan & it has not been settled yet Every time i ring I get an answer saying third party hasn't got repaired done & they will let me know as soon as possible Surely it does not take that long ISaga could chase them up

Saga car insurance kept changing their quotes and when helpline approached failed to return my call after agreeing to do so. Given poor customer service turned to an alternative company to insure my car.

I have been insured with Saga for my car my home and also my husband has his insurance with them for his car. I have just informed them my husband has retired and they have charged me £16+ to change him from employed to retired.

Offered a renewal twice as expensive then could find elsewhere. Praying on old people and hoping they'll automatically renew... Glad I've left and found a company that actually gives more for less!

I thought I was insuring with Saga it turns out they are brokers and Covea were the insurance company.When I had my accident I had 4 different companies calling me all to do through Saga it was a shambles. Never again will I insure with Saga

Received my renewal invitation for buildings and contents insurance and was staggered to see a 44.9% increase in the premium ! This despite my insurance needs remaining the same as the previous year and not having made a claim ! I haven`t made a claim since 2010. When I phoned to enquire why such an increase I was told all insurance had increased and this is what I should expect. What rubbish and what an attitude ! I replied that I would go elsewhere and that this is what SAGA should expect.

Quotations not competitive at all, car insurance quote £20 more than what I pay now, excluding the breakdown which I currently have included with Tesco Bank.
