“I use the sainsburys in Glasgow city centre every morning the one 5 Argyll street. the two ladies that always on the tills 8am to 9am are the nicest and most helpful staff in retail that I have ever come across. they are so focused on their customers friendly and it is a pleasure to speak to them each day when I shop there. I would love this feedback to reach their store manage. I have just watched the recent series on sainsburys on tv too and it made me want to comment on these two ladies specifically because they consistently for 2cyears provided excellent customer service and should received a reward orxrecognition ... the commute can be hard but the friendly chat each day is a great way for me to start the day.”
“I shopped online. Delivery was Tuesday 10th December 2019. I am a coeliac and normally have to shop around. I was quite impressed with the gluten free range. I hope it gets even better. It was better doing it online than going into the shop in Hinckley. Not that Hinckley shop is bad, but it is sometimes hit and miss. The delivery came on time. Everything I ordered was there and the delivery driver was very friendly, so no moans from me on this”
“I have used online service for grocery shopping and with each order there was always something wrong .
(1)Ordered Doritos but instead there was Cat food. Delivery person took the cat food back and refunded a pound for missing Dorito.
(2) ordered Heinz 7 months-first-steps-oaty-banana-porridge-240g Two bottles and was delivered with Banana baby porridge 4+ months. I realised this once I made the porridge for my baby and cannot return now and waste of money Of 6 pounds.
(3) ordered specific light bulb and was delivered with different fitting.
Very disappointed with this service as I chose to order from Sainsbury’s online hoping for best delivery service, even after suggestions from my friends to use other online delivery.
Sad to say I will
Never be using their online service again.”
“The Ladbroke Grove supermarket branch doesn't reduce the expiring items even before closing, they only do first reductions which is like 10% and the staff are very rude when you ask for a further reduction.”
“I went into your store and bought a blouse. As I approached the life to go out of the store the alarm went off, i went back in and showed the item to a security staff. He asked me to go and look for who ever served me to take the security take off. I said to him to get a staff to do that as I couldn't remember which staff and it was not my responsibility to do that. He was rude to me and said am a black woman like him and that am I expecting him to go and look for someone and that it was not his responsibility. I was shocked and sad that sainsburys has come to this. Years back he'd have apologised and gone to take the tag off. The manager came and I explained to him, he was not helpful either. In the end i took the item and refunded it. Not going to sainsburys abbeywood again. Disgraceful really. I wont recommend sainsbury to anyone anymore as a good store.”
“The restaurant in Apsley Mills seems to use any excuse to not serve food- today’s reason is Bain Marie not working. Limited menu - anything with chips. It feels like this store is being neglected toilets have broken loo roll dispensers - disabled is a disgrace - come on Sainsbury’s pull your socks up!”
“Was so surprised at how unhelpful they were. Out of my last 3 online shops. One came early. One late and the latest had short date product (actimel) that customer service unfortunately were unable to refund "you ll just have to throw some bottles away" plus driver gave my paper work to previous customer. They ve lost a regular customer”
“I asked for a replacement for an iron that was 18 months old. I explained that it was urgently required. I was told that you accepted the 2 year EU warranty but to claim I would need an independent engineer's report which you would not pay for. My call reference was 112637264. I see this as a clear blocking tactic hoping I would not have the energy to persist. I suggest you take a leaf out of Russell Hobbs book as they are sending a replacement. However this will take more time than just getting a replacement in store. I will never buy anything of this nature again from you. No wonder you are losing out to Amazon and your future is uncertain.”
“Their website said they had a particular game I wanted for a Christmas present A Pictionary Air so I ordered online for the first time making my £40 order up with stamps and a bottle or two! The morning of delivery they email to say that they have substituted JENGA for the Pictionary air! So disappointed, to add further salt to injury they send 2 text messages to say please have your card ready as the money will be taken once in receipt of goods.
I phoned customer service complained about their service and was then told they had already taken my money and it would take up to 5 working days to refund😡 Needless to say you had the chance to secure further orders from myself guess what? You blew it! as I will no longer be Shopping with Sainsbury”
“Sainsbury had Roc De Lussac, Lussac St Emilion at Around £7.50 in Highwycombe branch
Now there is an offer buy 6 get 25% off but they put the price up to £9 (In Beaconsfield branch) I was planning to buy 18 bottles and bought zero
It shows you can not trust any offers and I will stop shopping in Sainsbury and take my custom to other super market”
“My order was supposed to be delivered the other night between 8pm and 9pm but it was late, it eventually got to 10 past 9 and I started to worry so I called Sainsburys customer support team to query this and the chap said because I didn’t have my telephone number on my Sainsburys online account they couldn’t deliver the delivery. This is shocking. I’d woken up specifically (after a 9hr night shift) for this food shop (and I was also working a night shift that night and then for the next 6 days) and I’d now have to get it delivered between 17:30 and 18:30 the next day as that’s the only slot they had left so the next day I had to wake up in time for the delivery. I’ve shopped with Sainsbury’s in store and online before and never had an issue like this but I’m really disappointed and upset because I had no food for my night shift or my breakfast the next morning! Don’t shop online with Sainsbury’s they are truly disappointing.”
“Just popped into Sainsburys mere green today, was only going to buy milk so didn't pick up a basket on entering the store. Then decided as I was going round the store to buy some Christmas items, so I saw a member of staff who was just standing by the self scan department with NOT ONE CUSTUMER there and just happened to be standing right next to the baskets. I kindly asked. Could I have a basket please and with that she kindly told me there are lots of baskets outside. I repeated my question again to her. She then reluctantly picked one up for me but told me that there are plenty of baskets outside you know! I did apologise to her.
So Sainsburys are we not allowed to ask a member of staff for a basket when they are just standing around doing nothing and have to go back outside the store. Is this the polite way to treat your customers Years ago I would have been in big trouble speaking to a customer in that manner, as I was an ex colleague but moved on. Hurry up LIDI and build your store!! Happy Christmas Sainsburys”

“Bad customer service. No accountability from low level staff to management.
I had an injury at Luton sainsbury's near bury park store this November 19 with unattended untrained staff who cares to finish his job quickly than customers safety left a fruit not properly kept and it fell on me when i passed. It really hurts he did said sorry but wasn't enough as he should have been trained properly to give customers space when they are approaching and leave items well kept for their safety wasn't happy at all.
I left after i got few items there were little to no staff around 1 till open the rest of people had to do self check out with heavy items.
I reach home removed my jeans and saw blood clot where a bucket of fruit fell on me and a little bump.
I decided to call and report an incident a lady called Heather pick up and I told her want to report an incident i told her what happen and she transferred me to a horrible person probably in the head office named Luke.
He got back back to me saying the cctv around the area where the incident happen is not moving around is just stationery and no staff came front to say they know what happen that day neither no incident was reported for that reason no action would be taken really? I even called again the next day and talked with the manager in luton branch and report the incident again no one cares really.
No one there takes responsibility I will never ever shop from that low life store again there are other better supermarkets to go to bigger better and cheaper like Asda Tesco Lidl and they care about their customers.”
“I received a call today, 15 minutes before my shopping was due to be delivered, to inform me that I would not be receiving the delivery. This is the second time this has happened in the last 6 weeks. I use home delivery as I have limited mobility and I’m dependent on friends and family for support - support that has to be planned in advance. I will now be without essential food items today.
As Sainsbury’s celebrates 150 years in business, I have experienced a significant decline in service over the last 6 months and sadly, after years of loyalty, I will now be moving to an alternative service provider.”
