I am disabled & the woman behind the counter stole my nectar card. That was in Sainsburys local. Later I went to Sainsburys Clapham High Street & was accosted outside by a professional begger who made inappropriate advances towards me. I am sick & tired of Sainsburys security.

Joined up to online shopping. Paid for a delivery pass. On several occasions wrong items have been delivered but the worst is how many times we’ve had to throw meat out as it’s clearly gone off. And yet if I buy the meat myself in store it is fine. Something is going wrong in keeping the meat safe from when it’s picked to when it arrives. Today I rang to advise the pork ribs smell sour and repugnant and was offered a refund. Refund process is very poor. They can’t auto refund to your card. They have to pass you to a refunds dept who takes the card details. Just waited 7 min and told the team is busy and will call me back.

Your Culcheth store is a joke. One person serving at check out while staff walks about chatting. If I wanted to use the till I would work in the shop I do not expect to serve myself while paid staff do nothing.

Customer services are absolutely shocking and diabolical. A few weeks ago I had shopping delivered and there was chocolate milk shake I ordered that had clearly been purposely opened and left to be leaked all over my shopping, ruining some items; the delivery driver thought it was somewhat amusing. And I did have that item refunded. There should have been more than £1 refunded. Within that shopping, there was also a sandwich which was out of date the following day and they said it was free, but then still charged me for it! I contacted customer services via email and there was zero response. This week, I ordered some chocolate eggs with my shopping and they weren't even present and I phoned the customer services and was given a £4 to make me shop there again. If anything happens again, I'll be making serious complaints and never shopping there again.

Have ordered my shopping from Sainsburys Online for sometime now. Had various problems with food out of date and so on. I know the weather has been bad and understood that the deliveries today would be later than the original delivery time I had opted for. My delivery was set for 10.00/11.00 but by 4.00 I thought I better find out what’s going on. I was told that all deliveries from Beckton had been cancelled today. I realise the weather has caused problems but surely Sainsburys could email and advise their customers so we can make alternative arrangements. Poor service and poor communication. Won’t use again.

The Smartshop system is not fit for purpose - it extremely frustrating to lose the internet connection halfway round the store, have vouchers not accepted, have vouchers not registered by machine, card not accepted etc etc. Every single time I have used it, there has been a problem and either no staff member to assist or someone who shrugs and says they keep reporting problems with the system but being told there is no problem.

Customer services absolute pants, had online delivery with out of date goods, complained to Sainsburys who said thank you for your comments! Then they said they had sent me an e-voucher - to the value of 60p - absolute joke, the out of date goods were £4.50. Not the first time this has happened had quite a lot of things delivered with only 1 or 2 days on them, they're not interested. Won't be using them again

The reviewer from Taunton. Why did you do so four times for goodness sake? It leads anyone to suppose that your review is not at all genuine.

The produce department is practically empty again. It has been like that for a very long time. All you can buy are empty cardboard boxes. No produce in them . It is absolutely appalling. Beautiful coloured fruit and veg are available all round the world. Where or who are your buyers. They need sacking. My shop is Whitley Bay. Tyne and Wear. As this is the first department as you enter your stores, the first impression is dreadful and the daft idea of using the top shelves to store stock is claustrophobic. Argos takes up a lot of valuable space and is always empty. The only aisle that is consistently full is the liquor aisle. 😡 Everywhere else is quite poor, but nowhere is as bad as the produce. Fruit and veg are available in other supermarkets, so the problem is definitely with your buyers. Incidentally the manager is never , never available. He must spend his day in an office at back of store. IF he ever came on the shop floor or spoke to a customer when requested, then he may have some idea on how to improve his store. I wonder if a day working on produce might give him some idea of how bad his store is. I do wonder if he exists as he can't be contacted at all. This store is truly dreadful.

I am disgusted in Sainsbury's staff. They are rude, racist and verbally abusive to their customers. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Customer service is appalling, despite emailing twice, have still not heard from them. Did an online shop went to collect and once there was told main item was not available, i had ordered it at half price (however it was available online the same day but at the full price) also because the item wasn't available they tried to charge me by taking away the discount voucher. Feel this is a cheating system and a very sneaky underhand way of taking money off people. Am going to write a bad review weekly on as many sites as possible so hopefully will stop happening to others. So disappointing, used to use Sainsbury all the time.

My home is second floor and there is no lift on building. The driver just carried my order to first floor. I was alone and the driver did not help me to carry. I called customer service to complain. They didnt care about it. They are not professionals.Never order from Sainsburys...

POOR DELIVERY SERVICE - EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I wish I had read some of these reviews before signing up for 3 months delivery service - definitely would NOT recommend Sainsburys for home delivery service!! I set up an account 2 weeks ago as a new customer for home delivery service. First week they delivered mouldy strawberries. Driver took them away, but I then had to go to the store to buy replacement pack. Spoke to the duty manager and was given £3 refund! Manager said he would speak to staff selecting produce for home delivery and remind them to select produce in good condition. Clearly this didn't happen. This week, I received parsnips and red onions which were both already rotting and once again had to buy replacements. Emailed Sainsburys on Wednesday and it took them until today (Saturday) to reply. They have given me £4 compensation. They do not seem to understand that I am ordering online to avoid having to go to the store - but due to the poor produce they deliver, I have to go to buy replacements!! I do not think the compensation is adequate - when I have to spend time and petrol driving to the store. The customer service team have clearly demonstrated a 'couldn't care less attitude'. Will shop elsewhere from now on.

Have had good experiences from the online grocery shopping in the past but the items delivered yesterday evening were mostly within 2 to 3 days of their use by date. Who has their shopping delivered on Friday eve at 5pm and has to eat it all by Sunday/Monday eve?! A couple of items were use by the next day and a punnet of Taste the Difference tomatoes were virtually rotten. I will be shopping elsewhere from now on. I did engage in an online chat with an employee who was unhelpful...they cut me off in the end!!

Having tried to return an item to the Castle Court Store, queued up twice as I had to find something else to buy as an exchange and then told what I was going to exchange wasn’t suitable, infuriated me. I had spent at least 30 minutes trying to sort out this issue, and could no longer queue up again. I then tried again several days later to exchange the item, which had considerably reduced in price, and as I had not exchanged the item a few days prior they could now only honour the reduced price. I am so disappointed with this store and the whole lack of respect for the customer, after all the reason I had to return twice to the store is because I was originally misinformed by one of their staff, ironic!

I’ve been using Sainsbury’s online for over three years and until recently been very happy with the service. Recently though the perishable goods have been very close to their use by dates, the products such as bread have been squashed and the items not packed properly. But tonight was the final straw. I complained to the delivery driver that there weren’t enough bags. He became very aggressive and told me it wasn’t his fault. Eventually I had to close the door on him as he wouldn’t let it go. I called Sainsbury’s to complain. The driver told them I’d been swearing at him. This was the final straw. To be lied about. Sainsbury’s have received the final order from me. ASDA, Tesco or Morrison’s will be getting my weekly custom from now on.
