“Bought a microwave which was Sainsbury make. Had about 6 months use out of it as the other 6 months it was packed away due to a move. Started to use it after the move which was 7 days after the year and it would not work. After explaining that we only had little use from it the reply was out of guaranty so can not help. I would advise anyone to think twice when buying electrical goods from the store as they do not last even with little use and the duty manager at Pontypridd was not interested and had no compassion even though it was so close after the year was over. Goods should last longer than this did. Will stick to Asda and Currys from now on.”
“Seems that this company is writing it's own reviews. Come on folks. Tesco is awful in every single way, and the person who actually rated their self service checkouts as excellent really needs to do some serious thinking. Like did they know that the price of paying staff to man checkouts is factored in to every single item you buy. This means that you are paying tesco to serve you on self service. Then of course there is the fact that each self service checkout represents one person out of a job. As someone has said, give discounts for using them, if you must that is.”
“I shouldnt give no stars. I really hate how the stupid men talk to me today, for me no more spending my money in racist place hated hated hated, and will tell my husband and my family to not go there, he didnt know how to talk to me. No more going the, i used to do my shopping there. NO MORE”
“Second online order messed up. Arrived an hour early from booked delivery slot. Items substituted even though I ticked no substitute. When I rang the customer service they were unhelpful and condescending. Normally do my shopping in store at Sainsbury's, but have lost faith in them as a retailer since. They think their customers are idiots.”
“Used to spend £400 plus a month on home deliveries, that ended when a very rude delivery driver parked outside, threw the sack barrow from his truck, was banging and crashing with my/other orders on board, Customer services were useless telling me how the drivers in question were told of my complaint.
I won't be trusting them again, so I hope it was worth that email from Chis at their customer service debacle.”
“Grumpy delivery driver even though I Andrew the door and welcomed him, then let me reach below the doorstep to pick up the bags, one tub had no bags even though I paid for 8, got 4 needed 5/6 fir the amount of shopping. Substitutes were unclear what I was going to pay compared to what I'd been sent instead. Overall it just reminded why we stopped using sainsburys groceries delivery”

“Visit them if you wish to take part in the speediest checkout ever. Checkout staff can be very rude, much too fast and pressure to use self service. DO NOT USE IT!! Ask for a discount if you do as the price of using a real checkout is factored into the price of your goods. Oh, and please do realise that some people do have mobility issues not at first obvious, and not all elderly are as fit as each other, so BE NICE to them.”
“They decided to cancel my online shopping order because apparently they don't deliver in my area even thought 3 days ago my neighbour had a grocery delivery. Terrible customer service and attitude”
“So you changed your nice chicken kievs made by so they say sainsbury which wasn't to bad to these terrible replacement horrible tasteless and cheap tasting I'll be going else ware”
“1st online shop with Sainsbury's and never again. Absolutely terrible service as well as customer service. Used 'click and collect' and when I came to collect my groceries the driver wasn't there. I was told this order would automatically be cancelled and I would get a refund within 3-5 days. I made a complaint and as a result I was given a voucher so I decided to give Sainsbury's another go and ordered some groceries again but this time got them delivered. On top of the charge for the 2nd order, Sainrbury's also charged me the full amount for the first order that was over £60. A shop that was supposed to cost me just over £22, actually cost me £120!!! 8 days, 3 transactions on my statement and not a single refund! Customer service is absolutely useless too. AVOID!”
“Roughly 60 years old, black hair, overseeing the self check outs this member of staff grabbed my 11 months olds feet and made a rude comment about him not wearing any shoes. This startled my son as he has never before been grabbed by a stranger. I was deeply offended and upset that a member of staff thought it ok to touch a customers child either in a nice way or in this case in a rude and aggresaive manor. If in the street i would have got the police involved. Never going back.”
“I bought a £10 voucher at Sainsbury’s and when I tried to redeem it on Skype it turned out to be out of date. When I went to the customer service they refused to change the voucher or give me a refund because the transaction was successful. They said I should contact Skype. Skype confirmed that the voucher had expired and sent me the confirmation and the expiry date.
I went back to the customer service, spoke to the manager, and they gave me another voucher ‘as a gift’ as they said. I had the same problem with it.
I phoned the central office and all they said was because the transaction was successful they couldn’t refund the money. I asked them, if you buy faulty goods can you not return them because the transaction was successful? I couldn’t get any sense from them.
I wrote a letter to the complaint department with copies of the receipt and emails from Skype and sent it by special delivery 6 weeks ago. I got no response.
I don’t expect to get my money back and I wasted so much time! At least I want to warn other people. This is the way they deal with customers.
What a shame on Sainsbury’s!!!”
“Oh dear. Poor selection in Staines. A few items are advertised online but they don't have them in store. Customer service was not apologetic. They just said that some stores stock this others don't. Also, why is Sainsbury so expensive? I think Waitrose is cheaper for numerous items.”
