awful kept giving them my meter readings online and over the phone and no one was inputting it on the system big time con artists they said my device wasn't registered and it will take 3-4 weeks im switching

Awful customer service! Send a bill for a months usage for over £1000 when the previous month we were £300 in credit! They said something was wrong with the smart metre and promised a call back on Friday we my wife took the day off work because she wanted to sort it but they never called! Tried calling them but they aren't answering! Extremely frustrating especially as we have been customers of theirs for 3 years!!!

The most awful Company I have ever dealt with. From the initial monthly quoted figure for gas and electricity, not once have I received an actual charge that is not way above the monthly offer price. there is no split between fuels so to establish how much of the charge relates to each fuel you have to contact the company. Despite providing meter readings the monthly charges appear not relate to actual usage and once again to establish an actual cost you have to go thro their online help system which is equally appauling as you consistently end up with someone on line thro the website and a second person in contact by email. Personally I am not willing to pay a £60 early cancellation fee which I view asa bonus payment for dreadful service and overblown costs relative to original quotations. THis is a Company to avoid like the plague.

Criminal company who obtain money by deception. If their meter is on your property and is capped so you use no gas, they still bill you, and if you dont pay immediately, they hound you with phone calls and threaten you with bailiff letters.

I would never ever recommend this company and its beyond me how this company is still in business its got the worst customer service iv ever had the misfortune of being in contact with they dont listen or wish to deal with vulnerable customers adding to their on going stress please please dont use this company read all the reviews its a very bad company

I echo the first 10 1 *reviews. Awful customer service, they lied to retain me with an offer after I had switched to Green Network. I then cancelled my switch and they Scottish power moved me to the Standard Tariff. When I queried this, they found no records of the deal and despite announcing at the start of each call, that “all calls are recorded ... yada yada yada” when I asked them to get the call to confirm what I had said, they were unable to. I then pushed to speak with a senior agent who “promised” a call back and of course , did not keep her word. I will joe leave, and complain to the ombudsman but am not expecting anything really. Best advice - DO NOT TOUCH SCOTTISH POWER

Left a review can't find it. Figures with this rubbish company as I said if you suffer from anxiety disorder panic attacks heart problems etc don't use this company. ScottishPower is sh#t, there rude they thief your money straight out the bank. F$#k this company I can't believe the reviews I've read glad I'm not alone.

Don't even deserve this one star. All round just rubbish. It's all good for the 1st couple payments then pow "you owe us ££££" based on our estimates. Give real live meter readings "no that's not what our estimates say". Don't mess with this company especially if you have nerve or anxiety problems, depression or heart troubles, even if you haven't you will get them dealing with Scottish power.

I wouldn't even give them a 1 star. What they charge is ridiculous. Within 16 days I have meant to of used £79 worth of gas and electricity. Never in my life of living in my own property have I ever used that much

My tariff expires end of month. Looked on my account early this morning and they gave me the new price. Went on comparison site and obtained a cheaper rate. Did live chat and basically nothing they could do and told me to look on u-switch to see the prices for them on there!! Called customer services and asked why they are not looking to keep existing customers and advised nothing more they could do. Looked again at my new price which had risen by another £10 annually from first thing this morning. Hence I am now switching. Having been a loyal customer with them for many years and always chose the cancer support tariff, it is very sad the treatment you are given and proves loyalty is not a remit nowadays.

Worst customer service ever!! All I wanted to do was make an appointment to get a smart meter - they ended up creating 3 different dates pulled out of their a**, none of which I asked! I have wasted time calling their useless Liverpool call center making sure my date is correct to be shrugged off and never corrected. Still to this day unsure if my date will be correct - having to take time off work to be at home! HOW HARD IS IT TO CREATE A BOOKING!!! seriously useless!

I wish I had read reviews before I got involved with Scottish power. If you are thinking of switching to this company DONT! This is THE WORST ENERGY SUPPLIER EVER! STAY AWAY.

Scottish power is the poorest Supplier I have ever come across. It is 4 long years since I've suffering with them with a problem caused by them. Customer services continuously passing me from one to another with no end in sight. As a result I am now suffering deep depression and anxiety and is now prescribed medication from my GP. They can't even find an employee in their Liverpool office who gave me his employee number and asked me to ask for him if the problem persist. Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! Stay away or SWITCH!

I recently paid my Electric bill over the telephone with an advisor. A few days later I noticed my account was 00 I actually thought it had been hacked. I then noticed Scottish Power had taken payment 3 times. I telephoned customer service who informed myself they could only refund one payment back to my account which could take up to five working days . The other payment again taken in error by themselves they would have to send a cheque out which would take longer. I am absolutely appalled that this could happen to someone who has been left without a penny in the bank and have a family to feed. No even a sorry or explanation as to why this has happened and why it takes so long to rectify an error by themselves. When paying your bill it comes out quickly so no reason why they can’t reverse the payment back to your account immediately. £640 taken instead of £215 not exactly small money. Discusting shouldn’t be allowed to be treated like that .

I switched my gas and electricity supply from Eon to Scottish Power prior to my move in date (3 weeks before). I paid two separate direct debits and Scottish Power dealt with the switch for me - WRONG. They didn't actually bother to move my gas supply over and I was paying a direct debit to Scottish Power for the service that they were not actually providing!! in the meantime, my Eon bill was going up and up. I am in month 2 of waiting for my refund cheque and I am disgusted at the service given. Would not recommend Scottish Power to my worst enemy.

Not just the worst energy company to deal with, but the worst company to deal with EVER. Absolute shambles of a company. Billed for an outstanding balance ten months after I left, after numerous conversations with chat bots and/or overseas call centres I finally managed to agree a payment plan. Three times now they haven't collected the first payment, then write to me chasing the money. Contact them again, explain the payment plan agreed, they agree to collect. Don't collect the first payment, and it starts all over again. Would rather revert to living in a cave with a campfire than having to use these jokers again.

I got charged for gas supply for about a year and British Gas was my actually supplier. My advice? Keep away, far as you can from Scottish Power.
