Sofa ordered 4 months ago, delivery specified for 14th August 2017, now told a further 4 weeks delay and left without a Sofa. Also looked online and found many similar examples of poor customer service from SCS as well as alarming complaints about the leather peeling from customers who have purchased the same Sofa so really very stressed now. Have been on Facebook page to see if anybody else has managed to get any of the issues resolved as it seems SCS are leaving a trail of unhappy customers: https://www.facebook.com/groups/680820585450081/

A complete shambles of a company. Quick enough to sell you the product and then 'bang' all semblance of customer care or assistance goes out of the window. Constantly try to screw you for every little extra penny and then send the most half arsed and unhelpful carpet fitters around. An example, of which there are many - I was told they would not fit a 90cm x 114cm patch of carpet under the strairs as it was not on their plans. This despite me having my entire house carpeted top to bottom at a cost of near 5k, and their own staff member having measured this area. Poor service, penny pinching, lack of crm system, ill trained and rude shambles of a company. Avoid!!!!!

The worst service I have ever witnessed in my life. Absolutely appalling. Worse than very poor. Bought a carpet 3 weeks ago from SCS at the metro centre, it was meant to be delivered on Monday so somebody waited in all day long, to which the delivery man phoned my husband and said he would be here between 2-6. Never showed up so my husband rang him to ask where they were and he said the job they were on was s nightmare so he would be around 7.30 8.00. The delivery guy rang at 8.15 to say that it would be 10.30 before they could get here? So that was the first joke. Because obviously we aren't going to have some idiot putting down a carpet at 10.30 a night. My husband rang up and complained the next day, so they promised the guy would come on the Wednesday at 4.30 since that was convinient for us. And he's never showed up. So we have gone and got a full refund and would ever ever use this shit company ever again!!!!!!!!!!!! Baring in mind our furniture gets delivered tomorrow which isn't going to happen now because they carpet isn't down!!

Aftersales care are absolutely appalling Long story, over 9 months, cut very short I had to refer my case over to Barclays Financial Services who cover my interest free credit loan to deal with this query under section 75. SCS wanted to charge me £75.00 non refundable to send out their engineer to confirm if the sofa was defected or not. Barclays instructed an independent inspection to be performed by HomeServe. HomeServe deemed that the whole suite, 3 seater and 2 separate chairs, had a defect. Barclays advised even though the suite was 2 years old they instructed SCS to fix the defect. From a customer point of view, I am still paying for a sofa that has a defect. SCS have been paid in full for the price of the suite a month after I purchased. For further information SCS do not replace whole suites if defected, even though at point of sales they will tell you they do. Also they tell you SofaGuard will resolve defects, well they don’t and basically SofaGuard is not worth the paper it is written on. SCS 3 months after report of defect was submitted arrived at my house to replace fabric. They replaced 3 seater fabric and claimed to have “forgotten” to order the material for the 2 chairs. After another 6 weeks of trying to resolve myself with SCS I again had to speak to Barclays. SCS are now saying it is not cost effective for them to fix the defect on the 2 separate seats and they are providing options that mean I am further out of pocket and still have to deal with these cowboys. Barclays are pursuing this further at a higher level. I can’t even complain to the ombudsman as they have had dealings with SCS before and don’t get any further so now refuse to assist any users who have issues with this company. This company is an absolute joke. Based on the queries on the SCS complaint board I am not the only one who is frustrated by their lack of interest when something goes wrong. They like to wash their hands of any issues after the sale. I have tried to resolve this at shop level, ie SCS Speke, who then bounce to head office who literally take no responsibility once the sale has been completed. They were forced to resolve this by Barclays but then where incapable of fully resolving the issue. SCS have had their money and that is all they care about. In the meantime I still have a suite that 2 of the chairs still has a defect.

Three suites delivered all with faults, now refusing to do anything about it, paid £4000 for a leather suite, and they just keep saying it is within specification, the same that they tell everyone that has faulty furniture, if you want value for money go elsewhere, do yourselves a favour and read the reviews on SCS problems website, the ones they won't allow on their site.

I had a full house done in carpet from here. Carpets took over a month to come then arrived in the wrong size, after another week they arrived and put them down but unfortunately there are bubbles all over and have cut my feet on the stairs where the grippers have come through. Not only has it not bin laid with care or properly it was also wet I assume from being stored outside the night before fitting! Carpet itself is good quality just a shame that it looks cheap due to the bad fitting and has caused me injurys and my 9 year old. I have bin in contact with them via e mails and was told it would get fixed two weeks on still nothing else and no response to follow up messages asking for info on when it was going to be fixed! Very disappointed and would not recommend!

The warranties are absolutely useless, we spent £300 on a warranty to protect our £2000 investment - we had a scuff on the faux leather and tried to get it repaired only to be told they don't cover this type of accident and to claim on our house insurance! what is the point in upselling a £300 warranty to us leading us into a false sense of security that everything is covered then telling us our house insurance is the policy we need! So frustrated by the staffs attitude as well, i am never rude i always believed nice gets nice but that is so untrue they are rude and defensive and don't know how to listen, you let them have their say but they don't let you get a word or a point in edge-ways. I have been a loyal customer to SCS and have brought every sofa in my adult life from them, but now i am going to tell as many people as i can that as long as you don't actually have a problem then they are fine but when it starts to rain they want their umbrella back you can only borrow it when the sun is shining. Had a terrible experience with SCS. We bought a L-A-Z-YBOY corner sofa. After 3 days of sitting on this sofa myself, my husband plus our adult children and other family members found the sofa VERY uncomfortable. SCS sent a technician (FIRA) to inspect the sofa. All he did was check the frame for any damage, which we knew there was none. He said that comfort didn't come into it. We have tried fighting for our rights for over a year, including trying to contact L-A-Z-Y BOy, which is impossible. Nobody wanted to know and so we are left with a very expensive RUBBISH corner sofa. AVOID SCS at all costs. DISGUSTING customer service.

Bought two 2 seater sofas in April from SCS Llanelli They were delivered on 8th June and on 11th July we reported that the arm was loose and had come away from the main frame. SCS technician inspected and advised that the sofa frame had not been assembled correctly at the factory. SCS are refusing to replace sofa as had it 33 days - 3 days outside my right to reject within the law. I have lost confidence in the sofa but they insist on repairing it as the cheaper option for them. Am I wrong in expecting brand new goods should be delivered in perfect condition and not have to be repaired after a month

I have sofas and carpet from scs. Firstly the sofas looked really nice and comfy for about the first month but after that they had totally sunk in the seats, the cushions won't stay on and the arms of the sofa have no stuffing in them so as soon as you touch them you can feel the wood under the fabric, it is not possible to lean on the arms. They also didn't deliver the sofa care pack I ordered and it never arrived! Second my carpets have gone wrong since ordering I was told it would be four weeks after ordering and paying that they would get fit two days before they were due I got told it was going to be another three weeks. Then they finally arrive (with a phone call because they didn't even take my number down right) nearly two months after paying and they have measured the living room wrong it was short by a meter! What! How do you do that. So they fit the rest of the house and leave telling me to try and get hold of the showroom as they have tried and can not get through. Speed up to another week later moving the entire living room into the kitchen for the second time for a Saturday fitting in my partners birthday to be told by the fitter they will be here at some point in the afternoon, no ruff time just after 12 and before 6. Thanks. Will never have anything again from this joke of a shop.

In-store everything was ok...we browsed and after an hour, we called the salesman over and discussed a couple of options but finally made our choice. we went through all the sales patter and options available and I said that I didn't want to pay what the sofa and chair cost as the other option I had was a couple of hundred pounds cheaper and that I'd seen a sofa in Harveys that I really liked....to give the guy his due, he went to the Manager and came back and said he'd discount to a £1000!!! I was stunned so accepted. We decided on colour and also colour of feet, I said I didn't want the dark feet so chose the limed oak option. The salesman (Paul) said that delivery would be 2-3 weeks, even better...so far a really positive experience. A week or so later, the warehouse called and arranged delivery and exactly when arranged, the sofa and chair turned up...this is where the whole thing went wrong. My existing sofa is bigger than the new one and we got it in without too much issue, the delivery men brought the sofa in 'back' first so not possible to bring in through the door and 'feed' straight into the room as normal, so they took it around the back, grumbling and very obviously peeved off (it was the end of the day though), they really didn't have a clue so after watching them struggle I stopped them and suggested that they lower and feed around the floor and through the door, this worked...when we were going through the paper work, my television was too loud wo I turned it down and put the tv remote down, it turned out that the Salesman had put the wrong feet on the order, I thought it said 'Oak' (as in limed oak) feet, it actually said 'Dk feet' so that's what it came with...I rang the store and the receptionist said she would get the salesman to call me.....so far I'm still waiting. worse still, the delivery men have walked off with my tv remote!!! hahaha I now am stuck on nightmare tv channel itv2 with the sound turned down (I turned it down whilst I was talking with the delivery men) I tried calling the delivery men and sent them a text but they didn't reply.

Got two x 3 seater sofa's delivered and one of them had the wrong feet than we had ordered. So 2 sofa's 1 has got wood feet & the other has chrome feet. The delivery men told me to ring head office has they couldn't change them there and then as they didn't have the other sofa feet to with them. So we rang head office and was promised they would be out to change them but could be upto 4 weeks. After 4 weeks waiting still no sign of any feet or anyone coming out to sort it. Once again i rang the head office to be told i had to wait another 10 weeks as they didn't have the feet in stock. By this time i noticed one of the cushions was a lot flatter than the others. I took the cushion covers off to find out it was a totally different cushion which was very cheaply made. 7 months later and still waiting for these issues to be resolved but can't see us getting anywhere. AVOID SCS AVOID SCS AVOID SCS. I won't ever buy anything from scs again.

DON'T EVER BUY A SOFA FROM SCS !! Having paid £1300 for a 2 seater sofa and armchair, which was delivered faulty - by their own admission - what then ensued was a 6 month battle to try and get them to sort the matter. Today Leanne Simmons from their head office stated "there is nothing we are prepared to do for you!" So it appears that I am stuck with an armchair that has wood sticking out from the arm, as they forgot to put padding inside ! Small claims court is my only option !
