I paid £4,800 cash for a lazy boy electric 2 seater reclining sofa & 2 electric reclining chairs, that was on the 22-08-2020 and was given a delivery date of 30-10-2020, waited for a phone call to say what time it would be delivered only to be told it would be delivered on the 19- 11-2020, but we shall wait and see,

Hi I am now really very unhappy, got a 2 & 3 seater sofa on the 21/9/20 but they had different feet, wrong ones on the 3 seater. Have been to shop twice, called and reviewed on here and was told I would get feet plus the option to have them fitted with in the last 2 weeks. Received parcel yesterday left with a neighbour. It only contains 1 foot that does not really match the others. Not really sure how this resolves my problem. I am now very very annoyed at SCS’s total incompetence.

I wish I had read these reviews before ordering a 2 and 3 seater sofa! I paid £500 on day of order in Aug my goods were meant to come 10 October that date got put back to 26th October!! I got a text to say my delivery was due 28th Oct so I rang to pay the balance of £678 the next day I got a text to say delivery won’t be going ahead and they don’t know when I will get my sofas!! They say there is supposed to be a foam shortage! I’m absolutely fuming I will never use Scs again

Ordered 2 sofas and paid £300 deposit on the 30th of June with the balance due 72 hours before delivery. I was told the delivery would be on 10th of October so I went to the shop and paid the £700 balance on 5th of October. I got a text 2 days later on the Wednesday at 6:30pm to say there was a delay with my order and could not deliver on the 10th of October it is now the 30th of October and still no delivery date customer service is very bad and no one Returns calls. And no one seems to care that we have been sitting on garden chairs for a month now

Went SCS on 28-06-2020, ordered 2 seater & 3 seater sofas & stair carpet. Carpet fitted within a month , great. Thought we would get new carpet for living room to go with new sofas, went back to store to be told our new sofas were being delivered to them on 09-10-20, said they could get new carpet fitted in time for our new suites. New carpet fitted, great. Old sofas sold & away. Phoned to see when they were going to be delivered, ********GET THIS 04-01-2021******** another 3 months, disgusted doesn't even come close to how we feel. Totally let us down, Deckchairs for christmas ref- SO111-4427377

Ordered a carpet. It had a design fault which was confirmed by a carpet inspector. We chose another carpet, twice we emptied the living room to have it laid and twice it never turned up. The last time we were informed the evening before it was due to be delivered that the carpet wasn't in stock, that was after the store manager told us on person that it wcould be laid the next day. We are fed up at being fobbed off with excuses and asked for a refund but they are not interested. AVOID the IPSWICH SCS store, shoddy and rude service.

Terrible customer service. The only way I could get a response was to leave a bad review on trust pilot. I ordered 2 sofas online. After waiting 12 weeks one sofa was damaged on delivery. They offered to repair but I declined. The cushions sagged after one nights use. After 5 weeks the sofas were eventually collected. Goodness knows when I will receive a refund as no communication at all and incredibly difficult to speak to anyone.

Bought two leather chairs £2400 , after about a year the colour started to fade a lines appeared in both , scs and the insurance said wear & tear , nothing they would do , getting worse as time goes on , An EYE SORE, AVIOD scs if possible, disgraceful.

Ordered in July had a text message to be delivered the 21st of October removed old settee, day of delivery no phone call apparently there had been a delay and someone should have called us! After continously calling all day and a family member complaining finally gota delivery day for 3 days later my mum has severe back issues and we had to sit on the floor for 3 days terrible service and no communication at all will never use again.

I wish I had read these reviews back in Aug before I went to Scunthorpe SCS, recently purchased a 3seater and cuddle chair Aug 2020, haven't received any paperwork and still awaiting delivery. Went in to see when this would be delivered and asked for the paperwork. I noticed it stated a 2 seater instead of a 3 seater. I complained that it was their fault when completing the purchased on their tablet which you are unable to read fully, due to the length and small print. Not happy at all with their service saying I would need to pay a handerling charge if I wanted to change to a 3 seater. I would never purchase anything again from this company dreadful. I'm sure I will be adding further comments when or if it arrives 🤔😕

We ordered two new suites in June, knowing there was a 12 week wait which is normal, went into store and ordered a new carpet for same room & was told new suites were to be delivered on 9th October, great, but they could fit new carpet before suites arrive, now been told there estimated to arrive in the new year, 4th of January, 6 months nearly, what a joke of a company, going to trading standards, this must be breach of contract

Had our sofa 2 years but paid for warranty on the leather and the recline mechanism, may as well not bothered ,they just wasnt interested,would never go there again and advise people who say they are buying from tere

Avoid at all costd and ignore the manipulated Trust Pilot reviews. You will have nothing but stress and disappointment with anything purchased from this bunch of chancers

If you would like a sofa in the wrong colour,the wrong material and without any legs this is the ideal place to purchase one. Customer Service is none existent. After numerous calls I am now expecting a replacement in November.

Had our delivery 2nd October 4days later the foam disintegrated in the arm. Having a good look at it then found over 20 big issues with saga and chair. Wonky arm on chair, base of sofa and chair to arms inch out on each side. Material all puckered and support leg under the sofa 1" off the floor. Complained to customer service representative and after realing off all the problems I had a sarcastic "is that all" Told it needs to be inspected and a report done. Coming 15th November. Ready for a fight for money back. Avoid at all costs.

We ordered a sofa and swivel chair after 3 months we noticed the cusions sinking right down to the base and could feel coil springs and the wooden frame also the swivel chair started tilting and had the same collapsing of the foam filling,may I say I weigh 11st 2 and my wife 9st after contact to their customer care a heavily tattooed man turned up and after being pleasant enough became agitated when trading standards were mentioned, anyway we eventually received an email stating that we should regularly plump the cusions up and sit in alternative positions,and did we take their upholsterers advice ,what a complete farce he didnt even know it was coil sprung as he kept saying it was web sprung ,what a clown it had immovable cusions and was a sofa bed..anyway we have wasted £1350 on an inferior suite that was shipped from china so be aware if you make a purchase and something isn't right they will do everything possible to fob you off,

We paid over £700 for our carpet which has been poorly fitted, SCS have been disgusting in their behaviour, we had the carpet fitters back after much pleading and said carpet still has a hole which can’t be fixed and is fraying , this awful company have offered us a Paul try £100 compensation and won’t budge on this despite the fact that we will shortly have to replace the carpet as they use cowboy carpet fitters AVOID
