Still waiting for sofa, 5 months!

I have been waiting since 10th of May 2021 for 2 sofas. I was not told untill all the paperwork was completed that there was a 10 to 12 week wait. I am still waiting ! and not happy as my room was decorated in April ready for the new sofas.

very poor service, on the purchase date they lied to me saying that the sofa set I ordered will be ready in 4-5 weeks. When received the contract in email, it was stated that the delivery is approximately 8 weeks. It is now 4 months passed and Items are yet to arrive. They also lied to me about the guarantee offered for the foam, they said it comes with 10 years guarantee, while in the contract it states 1 year. Chased up this order so many times, each time the staff gave promises that never stick to. It is now 10 days that I am trying to cancel the order, but they do not respond properly, in the past 3 days they completely ignored my emails and phone calls.

Absolutely joke of a company. Must of e mailed dozens of times and they don’t reply. The odd time they do , it’s to say store manager has been trying to phone me which he never did. Paid deposit on carpet and sofa and due to delays and lies asked for refund. Store manager said no, I have been contacting customer Service by e mail regularly since May, yesterday got a call to say they are processing my refund which is now in my account. The strange thing is I then got an e mail saying store manager can’t get hold of me to tell me he refuses my refund. What an idiotic company, left hand don’t know what right hand is doing. At least I got a refund but would never ever use or recommend this joke of a comoany

Ordered mid June with the promise of an install 3rd week in July, delay after delay means currently the carpet will be received Sep 14th who knows how long after fitting will be. There is a known issue with this supplier I have now been informed so clearly I was given an unachievable date of install just to get my order. Currently talking with trading standards and urge others to do the same.

Terrible. A long delay, followed by a last minute price increase, followed by two failed deliveries/fittings (flooring). Please please please don't use this company. Bought from Hull branch, pricing very unclear. I question the legality of how they price their products too. Misleading.

Absolutely terrible my mam who is a pensioner has waited 3 month for carpets fitted and they still carnt tell her when.. my son also is waiting for sofas that's been months and they have been put back. We are going to see how we stand about getting money back.. not happy

Terrible service I waited over three months for delivery constantly ringing change the dates to many times .customer service was a joke I highly recommend to stay well away

Don't buy the sofa . i see the sofa in shop last month , the shopkeeper said this can deliver at 2 week and need to full paid + delivery cost . however at first delivery day , item was not send to my home , i call the CS , they said this change to 1 week later , and i wait 1 week more ,before the day of target day , i got the SMS and reply the delivery day is cancel . i phone to CS again , the CS said need 2 more day to internal check , however 1 more week no body reply to me , cannot refund , cannot get the Sofa. Just take my money. If you full paid , no body will follow up and give the item to you , so honesly speaking Don't buy anyhink in SCS !

Bought a expensive gplan two seater and three seater sofa s ,not happy , technical came out no joy , technical support from gplan came out still no joy complete waste of time do not buy of this company after sales service is non existent been totally ripped off ,wasted £2700 and SCS and gplan are not bothered , Bought from South Shields branch ,go elsewhere

Worst Company in the world. Never order from this place again. We needed carpets and they played with the delivery dates. They told us they were coming yesterday after months but “apparently” their van broke down. They said they will come today but they heir private fitter can’t do the job. SCS need to stop as a company. Waste of money and time. They also said we can do a refund. It’s been months since we ordered the Carpet and they keep extending the delivery day. Honestly what a joke. They don’t deserve any attention

In one word, TERRIBLE!!! I wish I could rate 0 stars! We ordered carpet for the whole house got told it would be here by 15th may it is now 10th august and we still only have half of it. Also the half we do have has been fit awfully so much so they’ve got to re fit it. We have been given date after date that our carpet will be in store and as I’ve already said it’s not. We’ve had the phone put down on us multiple times. We’ve been told lie after lie on the phone. They started taking payments off us before we received all our carpet which we were told would not happen. We where also promised by a manager £100 compensation for all the problems we’ve had which we have not received and apparently they know nothing about. Also when the carpet men came to fit the carpet we do have they left all of their rubbish in our street also over the other side of out street, also they cut Hal of our carpet to short. Please do not use SCS, we got warned by family and friends but thought we’d give them the benefit of the doubt but we were wrong. They are awful.

We bought two leather LaZboy sofas from ScS three and a half years ago choosing the better leather and being told by the Salesman in Harlow branch how wonderful the sofas were. As John Patrick Dumas review ours also has a faded patch on the back which when calling out the engineer from the extra 5 year warranty we took out that it was due to oil in the skin. Are we not supposed to sit on the sofas then? The insurance only covers an accident and this is not classed as an accident so they would not repair, and the After Sales Team at ScS were not interested at all as they said it was not a manufacturers fault. We were not made aware of the chance of this happening wen we bought the sofas although the engineer told me he sees this all the time. Do not buy a from ScS they are only interested in getting your money!

I will never buy anything from SCS again. A very disappointing experience from this company "white City Manchester store" eventually delivered my LVT flooring, being promised it would be brought up to my 1st floor flat door, because I am disabled. It was eventually delivered at night 11pm. The delivery guy said we don't deliver to the door and SCS know that. Upon realising I am disabled and it being nearly midnight he agreed to bring it upstairs to my front door. We had to struggle bringing it into the flat, 13 heavy LVT PACKS of flooring. When LVT floor fitters came, they realised that the scs store hadn't ordered the right thresholds, so the flooring is laid without any thresholds. When I went to the store to enquire about the wrong threshold had been ordered and delivered, the manager wasn't interested. I was told I had to sort it out myself. I am now having to pay someone and buy again thresholds to be fitted. SCS wasn't interested that I am disabled and that I could trip over unfinished work because of their carelessness. I have no problem with the fitters who laid the flooring, they did a good job. But they couldn't finish it because SCS ordered the wrong thresholds. We ended up with only using 10 packs of flooring, leaving us with 3 packs unused and SCS don't buy back unused packs. So therefore, in my opinion, they over order to gain more money from their sales. Approximately each pack £44 total £132 of floor not needed, to which I'm stuck with and can't move. SCS in my opinion, over order to gain a better cash flow for their own bonuses.

The worst company ever to deal with! I ordered carpets for my new house on 2nd of June and I was told they would be ready in 3-4 weeks so I was given keys for my new house as per that. Unfortunately they did not do the carpets for the house (only one small room was done) as per promise and I was given another date of end of June, they didn't do the carpets again. I was given a date of start of July, carpets not done again. Then another date of 7th July, caprts not done. Then 10th July, not done, then 13 July still not done. Then 15th July not done. End of July date still not done. Then I was told they are coming in store on 30th July, today when I called they said carpets still haven't turned up. I was living with my family in a rented house so I was paying the rent there as well as paying mortgage for my new house as waiting for the flooring. I had to change my move out date at least 4 times and then my landlord politely asked me to stop it as he got new tenants. I moved into my new house (of our dreams) which was not carpeted yet. There is dirt everywhere making my couple of carpets dirty as I am still waiting for my lounge, stairs with landing and one bedroom carpets. Their customer service is pathetic and when I said I wanted to speak to the manager they did not call me back and it's been 2 weeks at least while I was told they would get back to me in 2 days. They said they can only give me 10% of the order which is nothing as I had to stay extra one month in that rented house while I could have been in my house and I was paying mortgage as well so being charged double kind of. I would advise everyone to STAY AWAY FROM THESE FRAUDSTERS! They are not worth it and they don't value their customers at all!

FEELING TOTALLY RIPPED OFF! Update 30/07/2021: After speaking with SCS a few days ago and choosing to continue to await repairs, I have now been informed that my repairs and parts have been cancelled and the person I spoke to requested ADR against my wishes!!!! This is an absolute joke! Is anyone actually here to help? I will be taking legal advice. Original review: I spent thousands of pounds on a leather Lazy boy sofa and chair. Within 6 months an arm on both had dropped down, now rubbing on the carpet when reclining. I had a 'technician' round who said he would order new parts for sofa but chair was ok put on raisers one side??? It is not! The frame work is now worsening whilst I wait already 12 weeks for parts. SCS refused to replace or refund. The sofa frame is currently propped up by the technician which I know will damage the frame further. I will never ever buy from this company again. It seems from reviews they are commonly unhelpful. Absolute disgrace! I feel completely ripped off. The salesman told us complete lies too. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE, AFTERCARE IS AWFUL. FEELING TOTALLY RIPPED OFF! Update 30/07/2021: After speaking with SCS a few days ago and choosing to continue to await repairs, I have now been informed that my repairs and parts have been cancelled and the person I spoke to requested ADR against my wishes!!!! SCS are continuing to dispute an obviously damaged G Plan sofa. Morale of the story is…Buy G Plan (great stuff) BUT not from SCS. Having to recover costs through legal route. Never had to do this before but they appear to have a policy of delay, delay, delay regardless of how clear the case is, and hoping you’ll go away eventually. Photos show condition of suite on the day it arrived in May ! They’re arguing it’s now ‘wear n tear’ Nuts

Awful! Will not use again Ordered carpet in April 2021, paid last amount in may 2021. Was told it would come late June. So I removed the old carpet. Was told on the day of fitting carpet was damaged. So had to order again. Fitting will now be in August.. I asked if I could speak to some one about this.. last week. Was told someone would be in touch 24-48 hours.. it’s been a week still not heard anything. NOT IMPRESSED
