There are a few good companies out there.
Most are agents that find a shipper for you, that has a good reputation.
I chose Ship a Car because of the videos explaining how things worked. They had the lowest complaints. ( Some people are never satisfied no matter how excellent the service.)

If you are a first time user this is what I learned:
This is not Amazon, do expect immediate pick up of your vehicle.
Once I decided to go with Ship a Car I stayed with them . It took them a couple of days to connect me with a reputable driver.
Once I accepted the quote ,
the driver contacted me with a date and time of
pickup. The driver was on time as promised.
The delivery date was a day Earlier than promised.
I think you will have the best experience if are patient with pick up and delivery.
I had the car shipped from Miami, Florida to North Carolina.
About 800 miles.
Based on what I was charged I calculated a $1 per mile.
Ship a Car was attentive during the process of finding a driver, and even asked me if I still was interested since they could not find a driver right away.
Again if you are flexible with pick up and delivery
I think you will have the best experience.
I would definitely use Ship a Car again and would recommend them highly.
Make sure you write down questions and speak to someone live.
They will answer and or return your calls promptly.”

On both occasions, they matched me with professional and trustworthy carriers who were able to meet our tight timelines. On one occasion, we didn't get matched with a carrier until the day before the day we planned to have the car picked up (which was a little nerve-wracking!), but John assured me that he would find a good carrier, and we did! For an honest review, I have to mention I received notification of a delay the morning of expected pickup and received no response the day prior after attempting to get an update via phone and email. This required me pay additional money to push my flight back a day. Every dollar is crucial in any move, but especially a long-distance move. Everything else went smoothly.”

The only issue was that I was notified of the pickup just about an hour in advance, which made me rush back from a party. It would have been much better to get a one-day advance notice. Removed 1 star because the quoting process was confusing, and the pricing and fees weren't totally clear until the very last minute of the process. “There was a problem when the cars were picked up but once the truck problem was solved, everything went well with the delivery except we got stopped by the security person at the pickup site. I suggested the place which was my fault because he could not drop off the cars at the original spot due to the Height of his load. There was a car over the cab which I guess was the problem of getting through bridges. After that the process went extremely well. I would use your service the next time I need to transport a car

“The shipping itself went farily well and ahead of schedule on delivery but the driver and company that took the job, did a decent job of communicating. The only issue I had is with notification prior to picking up the vehicle. I didn't even know a company had been selected, until the driver called to say he was on the way and would be there to pick up the vehicle in 30 minutes to an hour. I was hoping to have at least a days notice to give the vehicle a once over before it was picked up. That is the only reason this was a 4 out of 5. Everything else in the experience went well. John and ship a car, I trust and when he said, this was a great carrier to do the job, that's all I needed to hear! If John and Ship a Car Direct trust them, I have no reason not to!”
“I was extremely impressed with the level of communication throughout the entire process and my car was delivered ahead of schedule. The process and level of communication was so easy. The only flaw was that the carrier's trailer had a number of tears in the metal skin and therefor allowed a lot of dust in and on delivery was covered in road dust. Other than that the driver was professional and competent.”
