“I had previously bought simple lighting under cupboard light for my kitchen and when my display cabinet lights failed I bought some cabinet lights intending to use a spare driver. Unfortunately the new lamps needed 24V rather than. An email soon sorted this out and we are up and running with a new driver.”

“Please do not take the 3 star award as a bad thing. My review is for all the purchases I made to do the job I wanted doing. I give it 3 stars because I believe that Simple Lighting should be aware that they are selling to the general public and not just electricians. I say this because I ordered some cabinet lights, which I am pleased with (even though I have yet to try them out) and when I got them realised that they were not plug-ins, they were not USB and the description did not show what kind of electrical socket they needed to make them work. I therefore had to spend a further £20+ to purchase a driver with 6-way connector for the lights to plug into and a plug which would connect the ends of the driver to the electric supply. Please Simple Lighting, make it clear what kind of electrical connections are needed and bear in mind that you are selling to 74 year old ladies as well as knowledgeable electricians:) Having said all this, the lights I purchased are sleek, attractive and streamlined and hopefully when all the connections are made, they will also do the job!”

Thank you for explaining this so clearly. You're right that the connections and extra parts needed should be easy to understand without electrical knowledge. We're sorry this wasn't clear to you before ordering and that the additional cost came as a surprise. We're pleased you like the look of the lights. If you'd like help checking the parts you've bought, contact the team at support@simplelighting.co.uk.
