“I recently purchased a glass Balustrade system from SimpleHandrails.co.uk for the opening going into a new loft conversion. I collected the posts as I needed to get them screwed down quickly before I had new carpets fitted, however the glass came promptly as advised by the staff who worked out very accurately the sizes I needed given the dimensions of the 'L- shape' I supplied, many thanks to Leah !! I am very pleased with the quality and price of the product, it looks brilliant and it really sets off the new bedroom in the loft instead of spindles which will always need painting or staining periodically. I can strongly recommend this company and will very shortly be returning to them for a stainless steel handrail for the stairway. Many thanks and keep up the great service !!”

“still waiting for it to be delivered. Waited in all day on the original delivery date, which I had to chase up, No Show. Then they expected me to wait at home all day the following week, but was unable to provide a time even though it was their cock up.”

“Bought exterior grade stainless steel, plain handrail. Fabulous quality product, absolutely delighted with it. Delivery contractors managed to significantly damage the package, so that one of the end caps was lost. The rail survived this maltreatment undamaged - showing it is top quality. SimpleHandrails sent a replacement end cap, received the next day - brilliant service. I am recommending the company to a friend who has had dodgy handrails supplied.”

“Absolutely first class service! Ordered oak handrails, requested them to be cut and stressed there need by a set date. They did everything possible to ensure I had them on time. Even after a slight problem with the delivery, it was rectified immediately. Can't thank them enough for their help. Would recommend this company to anyone.”

“The only reason we didn't vote 'very good' is because our son -in-law,who put it up said he would have found it far easier if you had drilled a hole at the ends of each pole in the exact centre which an accomplished D-I-Yer found difficult to get exactly accurate. Otherwise ordering, delivery and quality of the pole excellent .”

“Ordered: Stainless Steel & Oak Handrail Flat End Caps 3m (3 Brackets & 2 Flat Ends). Looked good on the site and better that anything else I could find in the same price range. Prior to ordering, confirmed that delivery could be done on specific date (so I could arrange to work from home). 1) Order not delivered on arranged date. When I chased, turned out order had not been sent. Company very apologetic and arranged for a delivery a week on Saturday. 2) Waited in all day on the arranged Saturday. No delivery. Possible issue with their courier (TNT). Re-arranged delivery for following Tuesday. 3) Order received as follows Walnut handrail (ordered Oak), length 2910mm with end caps (ordered 3000mm, so 90mm short), End caps badly chipped on edges. 4) Dan at SimpleHandrails.co.uk apologised and arranged for 3m oak handrail to be sent along with replacement end caps. All received 3 weeks after original planned delivery date. Have now fitted the rail. It would look really good except for the oak rail not being cut as a circular cylinder at one end, so it's not possible to get the circular end cap to fit near flush (has a big lip on one side which is visible). My poor experience seems contrary to most of the reviews I've read, so perhaps I got very unlucky, but the pros and cons based solely on my experience..... - Pro: Good website, products look good at reasonable price, easy to order - Con: Delivery poor - Con: Quality control very poor (wrong wood, wrong length, damaged end caps, not possible to get good fit on end cap due to poorly cut rail) - Pro: Acceptance of issues and genuine attempts to rectify - got there in the end I would possibly use the company again, but will re-align my expectations and timeline appropriately to avoid repeatedly being frustrated at the issues encountered. Rated poor primarily for the quality control aspect of my experience.”

“Took 12 working days to reach me. I emailed after 10 days and did not receive a personal reply, just an email from the delivery people saying it had been dispatched. There were no instructions and despite a good standard of DIY skills and tools, it isn't as simple a job and could easily have gone wrong. The product is worth the money but service could do with improving.”

“Very pleased with the quality of the components. It would be useful to have some written instructions/tips, especially as it was quite challenging finding a straight line for the brackets to be attached to the rail. Delivered was quick and items were well packed.”
