“I was hesitant to spend $600 on a SiOnyx...but when they went on sale for $400 I took a chance. I have purchased cheap night vision devices in the past and never been impressed or satisfied. They were very Gen 1 (or Gen 0) type systems. I wanted a device but was not going to spend thousands of dollars for a Gen 2/3/4 device. I have used some Gen 3 and Gen 4 devices at work and was shocked when I received my Aurora Sport. While the picture/view is not as crisp as PVS-14s or newer devices, I could not believe that I just paid $400 and got something nearly as good and in color! Unlike devices at work, I can also take photos or videos, switch between day/twilight/nighttime and I can increase my recording capability by purchasing a larger Micro SD card. Video is 720, not 1080 as I would have liked....but again, $400. Also, the SiOnxy app....you can stream what you see in your eyepiece to the app. I can go outside, be using my Sport and my kids can see what I see on the app. It also lets me leave the device on, pointed to the sky so I can see meteors, satellites, ISS and more while I am safely in my house. Now there are a few drawbacks. As I mentioned above, the image is not as crisp as other devices. I would have liked 1080 but maybe SiOnyx will address that with future models. Lastly, a lense cap for the front lense would be nice and more rubber for the rear eyepiece would be helpful. These are minor issues to me. If you need something more crisp and don't mind black/green vision, pay thousands more and get a Gen 3 or Gen 4. If you want color, the ability to record photos & video, stream to your phone and only want to pay $400, then I highly recommend a SiOnyx product. I might buy another one!”

“So far so good! Package included a data card which even though a small item it saved a trip to the store. Have not had to use customer service, instructions and online videos are good. Product is great although a little smaller than I thought from ads. I am Happy.”

“Having a PVS-14 ,I was very interested in digital night vision. I recently purchased a Sionyx Aurora and have not been disappointed. The ability to see in color is amazing. I've been using it as a hand held night vision device and haven't yet tested the camera or video function. So far it been pretty amazining. J. Pearson”

“The buying process was amazingly easy. There was a hiccup that occurred when I received the email that said the camera had shipped, yet when I put in the tracking number in, UPS/FedEx (I forget who), said they hadn’t received the package yet??? I sent an email asking about that and received a response within a few minutes, which impressed me beyond words! The camera arrived a week later!”
