“Update***********after three weeks skates have returned my 8 year old sons scooter minus a back wheel and with a back brake that doesn't fit. So in the 3 months since purchasing it the scooter was usable for 3 weeks and has now been returned in unusable condition. THANK YOU SKATES FOR REDUCING AN 8 YEAR OLD CHILD TO A SOBBING MESS YOU SHOULD ALL BE VERY PROUD!!!! THE SCOOTER WAS HIS PRIDE AND JOY!! OH WELL WATCHDOG, TRADING STANDARDS AND THE Sun HERE WE COME!”

***AVOID AVOID AVOID**** rude , bad service, ignore you
DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY ********** We ordered a slamm custom scooter for my sons eighth birthday in plenty of time for next day delivery. The following day we received a message that due to a problem with the courier it would not be delivered that day and so would not be here on his birthday. It did arrive the following day and our son loved it. However after around two weeks the back wheel bearings went and soon after the brake snapped in half. After contacting skates they said they woild send out a new brake and bearings for us to fit. We expected to receive the new parts a few days later but got a message telling us that the brake was not in stock andvthey were trying to source one. The parts eventually arrived but the brake would not fit no matter what I tried. After contacting skates yet again they arranged for a courier to pick up the scooter for them to assess and fix. All this was annoying but to be fair the customer service to this point had been well handled. After skates had had the scooter for around a week we got a message to tell us that their tech team could not fit the brake and that despite trying various wheels and brakes they could not find a solution but would continue to try and would inform us when they had solved it. By this point my son was crying every day asking for his scooter. A week went by without word ,we called them on a friday and were told the tech team were not available till monday and they would be in touch then. By now our son had been without his scooter for three weeks and was inconsolable. On monday we received an abrupt and rude email telling us they were unable to solve the problem, and were in fact under no obligation to and that as it was a "custom scooter" it was not returnable and they would be returning it to us. After speaking to trading standards I emailed them sayingthis was unacceptable and asked them to call me to discuss it. I received yet another discourteous reply to say that if trading standards had an issue they would contact skates. Despite numerous attempts to contact them both by phone and email since we had no response until today when someone eventually answered the phone only to inform us that they had no idea where our sons still broken scooter was and that yet again nothing could be done till monday. Our son us so upset its untrue they should be ashamed of themselves. We chose them as a family run specialist scooter supplier over numerous high street outlets only to be supplied a product not fit for use and to eventually be ignored by them in our attempts to solve it. Their actions are spoiling a young extreme sports fan experience of the scootering scene and community. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!”

“They did send me wrong size skates. They refuse to cover my sending costs back and admit their mistake. They lost one part of the order and I am still fighting to get my money back. They do not answer phone and ignore e mails. Horrible company. Avoid at all costs.”

There was an advert on the website that the skate bag is free with the purchase but at the check out I had to pay additional £4.95 for it and I don't even want it but there was no option to remove it!!
I only hope that the skate quality will be good if I ever receive them!”
“I had a problem with your website when I placed my order. It was very slow (not due to my internet, other sites were loading fine) it got half way through the payment and crashed out, I had to do it all again. When my order was delivered it went to the billing address, not the delivery address. It was then delivered, without my prior agreement, to a neighbour. I am unable to retrieve it from the neighbour so it is lost.
When I enquired by email to try to explain the problem, there person who replied was very curt and unhelpful. This was a birthday present that I had ordered to be delivered on my daughters birthday and we were very disappointed that it was completely lost. This has cost me £50, I am not at all happy.

“I would write a review but due to the inefficient delivery service you have opted to use, i.e. Hermes, I still have not received the items . These are wanted for my grandsons birthday on Monday 20th July. I work as a teacher and do not get in until around 16.30pm. the card left by Hermes does not contain any contact or phone numbers for the driver so I am unable to contact him. I have been trying to get a phone number from the web which has proved impossible. They do not leave the parcels with neighbours who would sign for this but opt to let us know that they will return it to you if we don't contact them! DER! How can we when we cannot have a number!
