“Engine was advertised as new. Engine mounting points were bored smooth; needing to be tapped. However you can see where there were grooves for bolts. Looks like mounts were modified. Am I missing something?

Paint is falling off on sides and worn off from bottom.
Was there supposed to be paperwork sent with motor? I did not receive anything, not even warranty information. Also, the ling to the operations manual on my digital receipt does not work. Manual has been removed.”

“My engine came in with no damages...me and my cousin hooked it up in about 3 hrs or less... started right up and runs like a champ...I had a unique situation... all my stickers were gone off my blown engine so the people at SEW helped me pick the right one...studied the wiring harness closely and made sure shaft size was right... buy a extra pto pulley because they rust on and we had to use a pto pulley and a torch to heat it up to get it off.. I'm very happy and this was a great fix.... o yeah the engine mounting holes on the block aren't threaded so prepare to get out a tap and die set”

“Got an engine that fits and runs. Small wire extension from old frame mounted solenoid (for the fr691v) to the starter mounted solenoid on the fx730v. Big wire for starter used the original wires, just joined them using a terminal on the old solenoid. Runs great. I never new what a good rnmming motor felt like on this mower! Awesome!”

“Is 1 September and John Deere still has not finished the engine replacement in my 445 tractor. They say they are waiting for your instruction on how to get the throttle assembly to connect to the 445 dash. What was supposed to be a 4 hour replacement is now going on month 3. Between you and John Deere there is a real problem - you say you engine replaces the 445 original engine yet John Deere cant get it to work.
From early July,
Received engine timely, delivered to John Deere Watertown NY. The engine is installed but doesn’t fit / align with the 445 tractor assembly. They have been trying to connect with your service people but nobody has responded. Every time they try to reach you, they charge me labor.
Should I just send the motor back? It will not connect.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you faced with the engine not fitting or aligning with the 445 tractor assembly. We understand how frustrating this must be for you, and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. However, the delay has been due to not receiving the photos necessary for our tech and shop to look over before returning a call to your tech. We did finally receive them yesterday afternoon and our tech and shop are currently looking at them now in order to get back to your tech today.
Regarding whether to send the motor back, we recommend not taking any further action until our service team can review the situation and provide you with the necessary guidance.
