“We thoroughly enjoyed our Trip celandine adventure, something for everyone. I was pleased that smarTours took into consideration our safety and cancelled some activities because of the wind. Helga is a star and an asset to the company. She is knowledgeable, kind, also had our safety in mind, and a major source of knowledge in the history, geology, customs, and entertainment on the island. We could not have had a more competent guide. Our bus driver also could not have been mor competent and welcoming. We would definitely recommend this tour to our friends.”

“The excursion to Nara tour company needs to have head sets. Huge crowds made listening very difficult to hear our very knowledgable guide. The tour was very rushed - -left quite late (maybe waited for some "no-shows"?), left Nara in the dark. We needed more time!! Suggest not scheduling the Nara trips against the same time for the excursion to Hiroshima. Then we could do both. I have more photos I would be willing to share is request. Did the image post here? Can't tell. Julie Kirby You replied that you would like me to send more photos. Sending one at a time, is not a solution here, Your reply, was a "no reply" address. Please send me and email address where I can send more Japan trip photos. “Just went to Africa with Smartours. Didn’t know what I was getting into, but I wasn’t disappointed at all. The tours were organized and the guides were all very informative. We didn’t have to wait in long lines for excursions. Our two hotels we stayed in were perfect. I went with my sister and at no point did either one of us have fear of being in a different country. The hospitality was way over what I could have expected. I was able to leave Africa wanting to make another trip and met some amazing people along the way.”

“This was my first time ever using a tour company, and it was amazing. Everything was seamless. SmartTours took care of everything, which took all the planning and thinking out of the vacation. The accommodations and excursions were top notch and we really enjoyed our trip. they give you the autonomy to do planned excursions or to go off on your own, so we took advantage of both. I priced the trip separately and it would have cost at least double to do it ourselves. I would highly recommend SmartTours, and will be using them again very soon.”

“What a fabulous trip! We packed in so much in our short amount of time. The additional excursions are beyond worth it (we did all but the shark dive and winelands). We learned and saw so much and everyone we met were kind and unbelievably friendly. Our guides, Rahima and Adelle were both so sweet and full of facts and tidbits of info and saw to all of the little details so we didn’t have to! For my sister and I, the group trip was perfect andprivided much more than we ever expected. Beyond worth it!!”

“I thought your tour was packed with events and we certainly saw and experienced a lot in the 12 day tour. The gem of the trip was Jeremy Poole. He was exceptional and really made the tour what it was. I learned a lot about South Africa today and it's history from him and I would recommend him to everyone who wants to go.”

“I recently took the Smartours Splendors of Egypt tour, with a group totaling 37, most of whom were strangers to each other prior to the trip. I can't speak highly enough of the excellent, value priced experience. Everything promised in the Smartours literature was delivered. The accommodations were actually above what I expected for the price; they really were five star. Our guide, Mrs. Randa, was extremely knowledgeable and efficient; we felt very safe with her, as well as a security guard who accompanied us at each locale. In addition to Mrs. Randa who was with us throughout the trip, there was an additional local guide at each destination, so there was sufficient staff to attend to everything. The luggage handling was some of the best I've ever experienced over decades of traveling. The daily tours were well planned and we were privy to all of the highlights of Egypt without ever having to stand in line, as Mrs. Randa or another staffer did all of the ticket purchasing. Likewise with the hotels/river cruise. All we had to do was quickly receive our room key when arriving at a destination. In planning to take this tour, prospective clients should know that it's a strenuous trip for those in their 60s or 70s. Egypt was hot and dusty (90s) even at the end of October. There's a fair amount of walking over uneven ground. 2, 3 or more different sites may be visited in a day. There was more than one VERY EARLY wake-up call; one morning the call was at 2:00 am, with bags out for pick-up by 2:15 am. Also, there were two days when "breakfast" consisted of a box meal containing mostly rolls. After the first one of these, some of us planned ahead by taking a few items to augment our box meal from the prior dinner. Ziplock bags are a handy travel item! That's it for the cautions. Otherwise, it was a marvelous trip and I plan to travel with Smartours again and have spoken favorably regarding the agency to many friends.”
