“Our guides, Oscar, David, and Allie were amazing!! Loved all of the sites we went to. Everything was very well planned and organized!! I would definitely travel with SmarTours again! The trip was amazing for the price!!”

“We both found the tour as well as all of the guides very informative and personable. Harry Sun was THE BEST!!! We did have a small problem on our return to the US. The flight coming from HK to Shanghai was a little late and we missed the connection. The airline put us all (8) up in a hotel and flew us out the next day. Other than that, everything was perfect.”

“It was a wonderful experience, excellent guides and a well organized tour. The group was small -19 great people. The hotels were elegant, food good and China a fascinating place to visit..Only one big error...our last flight allowed only one hour to land and go through customs and get to connecting gate...unfortunately the plane was delayed so we missed our home flight to JFK and on our flight to Boston we were charged a hefty amount because we missed that connection too..So far i have not been contacted by smartours to take care of the problem...as soon as they do I will give this tour group top rating because they did everything else so well”

“Loved the tour guide and hotels . I did not like 3 am wake up calls for 5 am flights. The flights should be later as you are so tired that you cannot enjoy the tours. It is very well organized and I learned and saw so much,”

“Everything went as promised, not one hiccup. Our tour guides were very good and Charles who met us for the Kruger safari really went out of his way to make everyone feel special. Was a great trip and so happy we were able to see South Africa.”

“We had a wonderful time with the smart tours Vietnam trip. Our tour guide was phenomenal!! The Itinerary was well thought out and executed. Overall very pleased would like to make one suggestion about Ha Long Bay... Maybe offer an overnight stay on a boat in the bay instead of a hotel.”

“Mayumi was a great tour director. Only two observations which could lead to less problems in the future. On the optional tour to Nikko we were left to fend for ourselves to get back to the hotel. This needs to be addressed. Secondly, on the optional tour to Hiroshima, more time is needed at the Peace Park to really absorb the area. Thanks.”

“Our tour guide "Nok" was ABSOLUTELY SUPER !!!! We really like having a 'local person' who has wide latitude to make things SPECIAL !!! Nok took us to a Family Restaurant and treated us - and soooo many other 'special things'.. Just GREAT.!!! We really like Smart Tours with local guides rather than 'canned' tours/schedules.. Can't say enough words of praise...Bus Driver and his wife assistant, equally SUPER !!! Only thing on the negative/do better - would have been nice to have Wifi on the bus especially on long rides; and 2nd we had this 'complainer/premadonna' who freely told anyone who would listen that this tour was not what she expected - the group quickly named her P.I.A. (Pain In ASS). Reason to believe she also 'stiffed' the tour persons on their tip - would not be surprised if she was asking for a refund - like she also would run fast to be first on the bus - but feigned being handicapped to be wheeled around at the airport and 1st in line. A Sad person for sure but the group largely ignored her disruption/s... Again, the Tour was GREAT - the places visited BUT surely because of Nok's expertise, being SUPER NICE, and surely would recommend it - and we plan to do another soon to Mayan Country. Previously went to "China" and had the same nice experience with that local 'guide'...”

“The whole experience was 25% Better than I expected. Our tour escort was the best anyone could be on this tour. I opted for most of the optional excursions and found all to be very good except the golden triangle excursion because the boat ride was nothing special. The floating markets and hill village small boat rides were more fun and interesting. My negative was the flights/layovers coming home. More than 9 hours layover in the Beijing Airport was disappointing.”
