“I order from spice village as they have good delivery option, like one day delivery. However, most of the times I have realized, while doing online delivery, the veggies and fruits are provided which are going to be spoilt or pickles which are expired in a day. Most of the time I have a product which is either spoiled or not in a good condition. I appreciate their immediate refund and response while raising an issue. However would be better if they deliver quality products.”

“Delivery was suppose to be before 4.45 pm but the order arrived after 7 pm. 4 out of 12 mangoes were bad and had to throw them”

“They have good selection/variety. Delivery was on time. But some product quality is not upto the mark. We ordered Swagat balack chana (as per image on website), they sent product without any label/expiry date/food certification. Similarly aata 10 kg expiry date is too soon. Delivery guy left the package in the elevator.”

“The packaged goods are of good quality and the variety of products available is medium to high. However, the produce is not always fresh. And their packaging is sometimes poor, so leaves tend to get soggy in plastic bags.”

“Vegetables were not that fresh. For example, gavar fali was already rotting when we opened the packet, so we had to get rid of more of half of it. One needs to careful while ordering vegetables in summer. May be there are better chances of not having rotting vegetables in winter. The other items such as lentils arrived as expected.”

“The minimum delivery amount is too high. It is only possible to shop from Spicevillage if big bags of rice or flour is bought. Just buying some fresh vegetables, or spices or linsen is not worth it from Spicevillage due to the delivery charge. Our local Indian shop is better suited for regular shopping.”

“It is good that we have all Indian items available online. You are doing a great job ! Only thing I observed is, the rate looks little on the higher side compared to the regular Indian grocery shop owned by Sri Lankans. Try to give it competitively.”

“Dry items like atta poha etc are good. Fresh food items were horrible and refund process was painful so we didn't reorder. But items are usually much more expensive than competitors.”
