“I've spent tens of thousands of dollars at sprouts, and never returned a single item until recently when I purchased 4 "red dragonfruits" that were actually white dragonfruits. They did not accept my return, spoke condescending to me in checkout, and then when I contacted customer service they ghosted me and then closed my case. Absolutely zero customer loyalty.”
“So disappointed by the customer service I received at Sprouts. I’ve been shopping there for years and have never returned anything. I was sick and bought some cough medicine there and after taking a couple of doses I noticed that it was expired. I thought okay no big deal I’ll return it for store credit. Now I didn’t have the receipt because well I normally don’t hold onto grocery store receipts once I’ve unloaded and seen my groceries are satisfactory. Anyway, I didn’t think it would be an issue. I went in and tried to return it and they said they couldn’t do anything without a receipt not even an exchange which seems very unreasonable to me. They treated me as if I’d bought this product last year and was suddenly trying to get my $16 back. No one felt regret that they’re selling expired medicine. It was unreal and I was surprised how angry it has made me. I usually shop at Trader Joe’s and once I came back with rotten tomatoes a day after buying them. They were so kind, they didn’t want to see my receipt they just ran over and grabbed me some new tomatoes with a smile and that’s why everyone loves Trader Joe’s, best customer service ever! Sadly, my fiancé has even done the radio commercials for Sprouts. Also what company can’t just run your credit card through these days and see you bought something days ago, it seems everyone has this technology now….except Sprouts I guess.”
“I shop Sprouts on Coors and Montano. The food & merchandise are nice. The employees are not customer oriented. The employees were too involved with each other and their personal conversations”
“Do Not Use This Oakland Park Store Pick Up Service.. Decided to use Sprouts to provide food for a gathering after my moms funeral. I had hoped to reduce some stress and ordered everything on line to pick up and save time while running around making final arrangements. I arrived at the store for pickup and many items were missing. Had I known this when I picked up , I could've chosen something else. I stupidly tipped the associate that pulled my order. In the end, I had to run around last minute to find what I needed. Dropping the ball costs me further stress at a difficult time and was unacceptable. They lost me as a customer over this. I am highly dissatisfied with how the manager handled as well and intend on seeing how corporate responds. The final insult was charging my card incorrectly for twice the original purchase and the disconnect between the store and their instacart partner and complete disregard from the store manager to resolve the issue.
Day 3
Well , still no response from anyone so I guess they will regret me blogging on every social media outlet nationally and doing what I do when I am not satisfied.”
“Too expensive nothing that I can't get any cheaper elsewhere thought sometimes good was coming but I was wrong it's to bad they really don't have much to choose from more like a gnc store with produce but thrifty produce has more selection and cheaper right down the road I was not impressed at all I will not go back”
“Sprouts skirted around a law that was passed about charging customers for bags in Arizona. So they call them reusable to get around the law. It’s annoying to me… Won’t be shopping for groceries there anymore.”
“I used to like shopping at Sprouts. Now not only do I have to bring my own bags, I also have to do my own checkout. It takes forever to do a search for the vegetables that I have to weigh. Before they put in the self checkouts, they used to have express line for the times that I’m only buying a few things. Sprouts needs to decide. If you want to be a discount store with zero service, you might need to lower your prices. If you want to be upscale, then provide some service.”
“Today I visited sprouts and being charged a convenience fee on my bags😡😡it’s bad enough they get free labor from me the bag my groceries😱😡, because there’s never a check out open 🤷♂️just self check out, I do not get a discount for self check out for being an employee at sprouts,Now Sprouts charging me for the bags that I have to bag myself this is insane, so to everyone out there who goes to sprouts but would rather shop at Whole Foods which is a better store carry your bags with you like a Walmart bag and bag your groceries with the Walmart label🤪😀😂”
“Unbelievable, I have never been so disappointed to shop at Sprouts. 10 cents per sack to haul your PURCHASED items out of THEIR store. Ungrateful management are ruining the store. Some will say “it’s only 10 cents how trivial”. But folks it’s just the beginning!”
“On my last trip (and mean my last trip) to Sprouts, I get blind side with a “new bag policy”. Sprouts now want to charge me 10 cents per bag when I check out. Ten cents for a plastic bag to put my PURCHASED products in to carry them out of the store. Ten cents for a plastic bag that cost much less than a penny to make.
What next? Will you charge me a retail fee to use a shopping cart?
This policy may go over well with the brain-dead California consumer. But outside LaLa land it will offend your shoppers. As it has me.
May 30th was my last shopping trip to Sprouts!”
“I am a 70-year-old woman with numerous disabilities. I did not appreciate being "carded" today my one of your female cashiers. I have been shopping at Sprouts for over 8 years and this is the first time ever I met such rudeness and unapologetic treatment. Training regarding seniors and disabled customers may be the solution.”
“While shopping at the San Clemente, CA Sprouts Market, on saturday, 4/22/23, Anthony, one of employees in the Deli area, intentionally refused to serve me. I am a senior female citizen, from Southern Europe (latin). If this happens again I may file a complaint for discrimination.”
“Last December, you started selling curry chicken salad which was delicious with right amount of spice for me. I bought it regularly - lots of it. About a month ago, it started to change. There was less spice, less flavor altogether, in fact. I mentioned it to someone in store who practically brushed me off. This week, the curry chicken salad had no flavor at all, and the chicken shreds had texture of shoe leather and were impossible to chew. Very disappointing, coming from a high quality store. I might try it one more time.”
“Have had many bad customer service experiences at the Woodstock, Ga location but today was the last straw for a while. Brought a $5.00 coupon. I shop there often so I had accumulated a lot of receipts with but used one from a mailer today. I never remember coupons but I actually did today. I have it to the cashier immediately before he started ringing me up so I didn't forget like I usually do. I checked my receipt before leaving and there was no coupon credit. I asked the cashier nicely why the coupon did not ring up and he said it was bc I didn't have one. I pointed to it on his counter and he said it was bc today was 3/21 and it had expired. Usually they are good through the end date but if I had known, I wound have given him one of the 5 others I had if I had been told that. He told me to read the terms in the coupon. Lovely. The worst part was that he told me I didn't have one and then insisted he scanned it first. Too funny. I am done for a while.”
“I very much doubt I will shop at Sprouts Farmers Market again. I have been so disappointed in their seeds, nuts, chips, etc. They have tasted stale, even though not near expiration date, and sunflower seeds even though labeled organic raw will not sprout. Now tonight I am trying to eat Sprouts Organic Blue Corn Tortilla Chips - sea salt. They are so salty my lips are puckering. I cannot eat them. Also weird mouthfeel. Sorry. I had so hoped this was a good find.”
