“DO NOT BUY HYDROPONIC STRAWBERRIES!!! My 7 year old son will not eat fruit except strawberries and bananas...My husband was talked into buying the hydroponic strawberries at our local Sprouts...My son has issues going to the bathroom...So we have been not allowing him to eat GMO foods and keeping away from food dyes like red40...The employee at Sprouts told my husband the hydroponics was a healthier option....So my husband bought a tray of them...Which was very expensive...My son has sensory sensitivities and is a very picky eater...I tried one of the strawberries 🍓 and it actually had no taste and was kinda gross...I thought no way would my son eat them...But surprisingly he did....He ate about 10 strawberries....And an hour later his legs and stomach broke out in a weird rash (pics attached) He eats strawberries all the time and has no allergies to them ever...I decided to read into hydroponics...And come to find out they often use a chemical fertilizer since they don't use soil...I thought the whole idea of hydroponics...Was to keep away from chemicals....I am so disappointed....I'm sick and tired of the food industry using chemicals in most all of our foods...No wonder So many people including myself have autoimmune disorders...These chemicals and genetically modified foods...Should never be allowed...Other countries have banned gluten and food dyes...But our FDA in America says it is completely fine for chemicals to be put in our foods! There is no money in healthy people!!!🤬”
“The raisins in the granola is sooo hard we had to throw them away. Quality has gone down so bad I don’t want to shop there anymore. I’m 80 yrs old and have shopped sprouts for 32 yrs or since they opened. To put out junk like that is terrible, I’ve been in food service all my life and NEVER would serve the stuff your serving. And you say you care about customers is not the truth. Good bye”
“A lot of moldy produce at times that instacart won't refund after too many refunds. As a cancer patient on chemotherapy, I can't go refund it myself.”
“Had a very uncomfortable interaction in this store. Do not feel safe to ever walk in there again. Would go into further detail but don’t want to get anyone fired. Hope management can at least teach their employees to respect customers.”
“Two days ago I stopped at a Sprouts I'd never been to at 19th Ave and Northern at around 7:20 am. I only had a 100dollar bill that the manager had to bring 5 20dollar bills from the back to break. Two of those twentys were counterfit which I turned over to the police. Sprouts customer service refuses to reimburse my $40, and the manager (Anthony) apparently lied about it and said I brought those 20s into the store. But, it should be on their own video at around 7:20 am of their assistant breaking my (real) $100, and giving me 5 $20, two of which were fake. Make this right, Sprouts! I'm sure it's on your own video.

“No salespeople knew where anything was located. The vitamin people were particularly bad and the manager was condescending. Are things worse on Sundays? Too bad because there are lots of good products if you can manage to find them!”
“I bought a bottle of Walden Farms Coleslaw Dressing from Sprouts in Carrollton, Tx on Thursday March 31, 2022. I made Coleslaw for dinner on Sunday April 3, 2022, I noticed that when I added it to the vegetables it was slimy. Since then my whole family has been suffering from food poisoning.”
“Worst customer service ever at Escondido location. I received a coupon via email for 20% off vitamins thur March 21 which is activated by entering your phone number at checkout. My account came up but the discount wouldn't appear. Two"managers" ignored the email I had as proof that the offer was valid and just kept repeating that offer was not valid in our area. They blamed the problem on me, citing some nonsense about how I must have set my app with Arizona as my location. One of them was especially rude. When I told him I was going to contact corporate, his reply was, "Go ahead".
I went home and printed out the entire email. Nothing stated the offer was invalid in our area. The only disclaimer was that it was not valid at a location in my county about 45 mins away. I called their next nearest location in San Marcos and spoke with the manager. She told me she was not aware of this offer but to bring it in. When I arrived, she had already contacted corporate and received the OK to give the 20%. I showed her the printout and she agreed the offer was valid but she wasn't sure why I had received it. She manually took off the 20%. At least this manager took action to correct the situation, but I wasted a lot of time dealing with the entire episode, as well it being very unpleasant dealing with the first two "managers".”
“Over price items like queso fresco $6.99
every where else $3.20
Seventh generation desinfectant $6.99
other place $3.90
No price match at all
Terrible what they are doing to customers!!!”
“3ft by 3ft by 4ft tall wine display had stapled on 2 bottles for 10 dollars they mixed in other more expensive wines. had to walk back from the counter to the display with the cashier to show her and she said nothing was wrong. clearly false advertising”
“The store is ok and has interesting products.
But I HATE that they pretend to be farmers' markets. They are NOT. They are middlemen, which is not a crime UNLESS you pretend to be selling direct.
I do NOT shop there.”
“One of THE worst sandwiches ever. Brown bread dry, no fresh greens on top of a postage stamp size patty of tuna fish, also dry. Next sandwich comes from Wildflower, where Sprouts could learn to make a real sandwich.”
“The person who brought the groceries to my car was nice. The quality of product when I got home was horrible. You think I should eat that to be healthy? Terrrible produce all around. The oranges were squishy, the apples(Fuji) were mealy, the sangria tomatoes they replaced (from original to organic), I had to throw out due to mold. I always tell myself to pick my own produce and I am never 100% wrong. You get what you pay for. In this case, $75.00 for 2 and 1 half bags. Yay me.”
“Worker in produce not wearing his mask. We informed manager who approached worker and worker placed on his chin. Not over nose or mouth. Great group there. Orange Ca store.”
“Be very aware of every item rung up and price. Sprouts tends to overcharge people. You need to pay attention. I was over charged 3x in one week and it was a lot of money. Employees put items on shelves but don’t check the prices. They tend to leave old tags up and if you don’t pay close attention, you will be over charged.”
“I shopped on a Sunday afternoon on the east side at the sprouts store. Their produce is still bad, even through the summer it was not the best. There were loading pallets in almost every aisle, that you could hardly even walk through the store. The cashier had to leave her register and walk to the office to print out a register receipt for my groceries. Is there not a person in that store that can change the tape for the register? She printed my receipt on a full sheet of printing paper which is wasting money, paper and time. This store on the east side has been going downhill for the past at least 9 months or so. It's really a shame when there is supposed to be a good grocery store with good food that does not live up to what they promise.”
“I spend hundreds of dollars in there weekly we'll never spend a dollar there again My wife was told she couldn't open carry her firearm in Nevada where that is the law. I understand it's a private establishment if they don't want or allow that they need to post it on their front doors both entrances and exercises saying no firearms are allowed we live in an open carry state thanks to the sprouts on North Decatur I will never be shopping in your establishments again”
“One of your managers in the McAllen Texas branch took a broom and broke my lens on my vehicle. Then tried to tell me they.dont have security cameras. Every time I used to go in there he would want to fight. I told the company about it because I wanted my replacement lens paid for. I was referred to two different law firms.they hired not to pay me. So I sent a registered complaint to the CEO with return receipt and he totally ignored my complaint, didn't even respond. This s is the worst treatment. I haven't been in there since. An awful experience.”
“Misleading advertisement. Got fished into visiting Sprouts by a false ad. Asked manager about items not matching ad prices on TV. Got the broken record. Shop Kroger or Publix.
I did not place order. I drove to your store and had this experience. You don't need my money to stay in business. It is those eating cheese and drinking wine that approve of the trickery. If you would do something as simple as misrepresent the product size with the price, I don't want to know the rest of the story.”
“Store #16 I used to work at this sprouts years ago and loved it and after today I will never shop there again. I just had a horrible interaction with one of the cashiers there who made me look like a fool and talked down, very rudely to me. He wouldn’t show me his nametag or tell me his name but he was wearing a US flag bandana as a mask. The customer service here has gone to sh*t and I wouldn’t recommend shopping here AT ALL. You could literally go anywhere else and get better service. If i could leave 0 stars I would.”
