“As a Seaman for over 40 years.I have done a few dangerous goods courses.This has been so dumbed down and does not show practical stowage and segregation of different goods,as is required in the industry.Someone doing this for first time would not have the required skills to segregate dangerous goods and therefore create a suitable and safe deck plan of cargo.”

For them, the age of the content is not a concern as long as the training effectively conveys its intended message. While incidents like the Herald of Free Enterprise and the Costa Concordia tragedy occurred some time ago, their causes and outcomes remain highly relevant from a learning perspective. “The question should be more off extension of the same training. Elaborating more of what we have learned. Most questions and answers is not relevant with the training”

“The movie previews aren’t necessary and waste time. The courses are overpriced and contain just mostly common sense information. But it’s fortunate for this company that we aren’t given a choice.”

Thank you for your comment Diego, appreciated. Adding a passport number or ID is not allowed by the authorities. Reason for this is simple. When the passport renews it might have a different number. “I completed the course and downloaded the certificate, but my employer can't verify it and now it seems like I have committed fraud. Can you please fix that as some of us do this on a deadline.”

“everything was good. The only thing was I had to write to get my certificate on Security Awareness and it didn't arrive to my email within 24 hrs how the webpage said.”

“I took the safety officer on board course. One of the questions was what percentage of accidents are caused by human error. In the course it said between 60 - 80% but that answer wasnt available and when i selected the nearest answer to it i got wrong answer. Please provide correct info fo the questions being asked.”

“In terms of purchasing and studying the course it is very straightforward and well organised. However, the phrasing and content of assessment questions seemed to be all over the place. Information that wasn't included in the chapters was then questioned and missing punctuation and vague phrasing made the exam section ultimately confusing.”
