I have never dealt with a company like this in my life! One word.... Appalling! After my Mother's partner passing in July she has had nothing but threatening letters asking for the outstanding balance as his insurance hasn't expired!! What? He has passed away!!!! After emailing them the relevent documentation proving he had passed away and been cremated we were told the account was now closed.... However.... She is STILL continuing to get threatening letters. The most recent arriving today October 28th. Absolute joke. If she hasn't been through enough. After calling again this evening and telling them what an embarrassment they were the call was answered by a cocky individual by the name of Luke! He didn't even apologise once for the inconvenience, let alone her loss. He wouldn't even give me the name or an email address of a manager and wanted to do nothing more than antagonise me even further. What delights you have representing your company! Bravo! I have requested an email from a senior manager tomorrow (for the third time), informing that the account has now been dealt with and closed. I'm not holding my breath. Please give these guys a wide berth. God forbid a love one passes whilst in contract with them. Charlatans!

Tried to obtain Landlords Insurance. What a palaver, filled in the online form with loads of details this was followed by a telephone call from a very friendly lady who was very pleased however she asked further questions and then said I had to speak to someone who would give me the price. After waiting sometime spoke to another gentleman who said I had to go through all the information yet again this person was so difficult to communicate with and started asking questions all over again with things that were irrelevant and he was so difficult telling me it would still take another 20mins to complete. Who killed the sale! Wasted such a lot of time. Why can Aviva deal with the same enquiry and do it in 4 to 5 mins. You need to sort out your Sales/Quoting system out. My telephone call was at approx. 5.00 pm on 22nd Oct. Very poor service and I wanted to be a new customer.

absolutely disgusting. cancel after 6 months and they want £110 cancellation fee. threatened with debt collectors if dont pay up. avoid like the plague. terrible in every way. i hope they go bust and their owners loose everything

Extremely poorly run and a terrible service. After being threatened with Debt Collectors, I have been told to pay £158. I never took out the insurance policy and they don’t even have my address, phone number or email until now. I may as well just throw my empty wallet down the drain.

This company is a disgrace. They took my money then informed me that LV were questioning two incidents. They gave me 4 days to provide written evidence that no claims were made; hence I paid another £42 to cover the time I needed to obtain the information only to receive another email after the phone call to tell me they were giving me another 10 days (by this time they had taken the money). I obtained and sent them the evidence confirming no claims were made (information only) the next day. Today I receive a letter telling me that LV intends to cancel the policy. I am assuming they have not passed on the evidence. I have spent hours on the phone just trying to get an agent. I intend to report them to the Financial Ombudsman. Interestingly all local offices are permanently closed.

STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY MY SON BOUGHT A VAN POLICY ON LINE AND THEY CHANGE ONE OF THE COVER DETAILS AND CHARGED HIM £25 con merchants.💩💩

Just noticed a payment going out of my bank account to Swinton. Rang up, said I'd taken up an offer of 3 months free serious accident insurance...and never cancelled after the 3 months....they have taken over £600 form me in 6 years that I hadn't realised they were taking. I knew nothing of the policy...now, they say I'm not entitled to it back. They are con artists and have swindled me...think twice before using this company!!! Taking it further tho, they haven't heard the last of this!

been with them years, go to cancel 25 pound charge and never claimed in all the years I have been with them seems like covid has made company's greedy and want every bit of flesh well we will all remember when things settle down and you want are business well jog on..

Avoid like the plague!!! Avoid like the plague!!!! Cancelled my policy even though I sent them my details as requested!!! Called up on the day to see if I could sort it out. Apparently not but a £50 cancellation charge (even though I didn't cancel or want to cancel the policy) and happy to set up a new policy and charge me another £150 for one months insurance. Company is a joke and just blamed everyhting on the underwritter. DO NOT USE

Be very careful if you cancel a policy with Swinton, I cancelled mine after just 6 days and was aware of the £30 cancellation that I was informed about on the phone, but not the £112.40 that they also added as I did not keep the policy for a year. Appalling!

My car KS66WYW I have received a letter from strata solicitors.third party vehicle.BV19XOG. They said they have been contacting pukka for ever and company is not paying them cost of repair and damage.They asked ME to contact Swinton/Pukka to ask them to pay the third party. It is not My job to chase Swinton/Pukka for third party claims.and they said they will take me and Pukka/Swinton to court within 2 weeks. Hi Swinton Nd Pukka....are you getting that.Stop ignoring them as they will file a claim in the court...

Went to cancel my policy as started my own business and the vehicle is now insured with the business (motor trader). Threatened me and told me they will inform the Police for me having no insurance and then charged me £76 cancellation fee saying that if I didn’t pay the “debt” I would be faced with a debt collection agency” !!!!!!!!! Awful service and proves cheap is definitely not the best. When challenged I was told “read the small print”.

A great pity all of you did not follow my advice and avoid them like the plague. Having been a manager of a REPUTABLE Insurance Broker I have never received such incompetent and legally questionable service. Why on earth would anybody need to deal with an Accident Management Company for a NON FAULT claim if you have Comprehensive Insurance? Remember Hertz are a car hire company as the OMBUDSMAN reminded me when I placed the matter of my claim in their hands. That is how they make their money he told me. O won't bore you with the details of my experience with them. Swinton were also incredibly in professional. The Ombudsman found against the lot of them! Remember best to deal with YOUR Insurance Company direct. A hire car is most likely to be available through them in lots of cases Best of course to avoid the lot of them

6 months later and still waiting for my settlement. So the mean time I am paying the HP on a car I no longer have. Have no money to replace the lost items. Child seat, phone etc. And they have taken no responsibility or been helpful at all. They were helpful enough when I was sorting out my car insurance, polite, friendly and helpful. And rather to take my money. However its a very different story when you have to make a claim. Simple go else where. Will save you time and money in the long run

Swinton Insurance A Real Liability to be sure I moved last year told them my new address, sent a signed letter with my policy number on and changed my address on their portal. They sent me a letter to my new address then two weeks before my renewal I phoned them to tell them NOT to Automatically renew my policy which they duly did. They charged me £28 to change my address then to my horror they did not change my address and said they had no record of my phone calls of update with me ringing them. The worse thing is that they never changed my address nor did their computer system update my change of address. Then for the last few days I have had a cancellation letter from them from my old address. AVOID THIS COMPANY THEY ARE VERY DANGEROUS TI DEAL WITH. THEY MAKE OUT YOU THE CUSTOMER ARE TRYING TO SCORE POINTS NOT SO THEY DID NOT DELIVER WHAT I PAID FOR THANK GOD I NEVET HAD AN ACCIDENT DURING THIS PERIOD

I bought my car insurance with you as I thought you were a repitable company. However with all. Your years experience and proffesstionlism you in fact set up my insurance through a company named Pukka. Pukka insurance policy isn't worth the paper it's been written on. Currently I have been left with no car no money and am paying for a car that I no longer have and still. Owe £10,000 on. Surely as a duty of car you need to take some responsibilty to who you paid my money to. Having read the awful amount of reviews of pukka there is no way you should of set my car insurance with this company.

Absolutely terrible insurance company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Cancelled my insurance and did not inform me. Leaving me driving for 5days without insurance. This company is a danger to the public.

Swinton insurance turned out to be a nightmare even before the insurance kicked in. Due an error, of which we had no part whatsoever, Swinton made upsetting and urgent demands the night before Christmas, threatened repeatedly to cancel our insurance, and made changes to our no claims history to a period before we became their clients. Throughout our interactions with the company, customer service has proven to be unreasonable and unfriendly. Overall, becoming Swinton's clients has proven to be a thoroughly unpleasant experience.
